  1. Speaking of bounty hunters... 'Tales of the Bounty Hunters' would be a fun animated movie too, although it would have to be like the Animatrix where its a bunch of different short stories In that book we see IG-88 coming to 'life' and wrecking havoc, we get to see why Dengar hates Han Solo , an old Fett vs old Solo standoff, and stories for the rest of the bounty hunters seen in that cool Empire Strikes Back scene...man I gotta revisit that book its been a while
  2. Shadows of the Empire - Anyone else remember how huge of a hit that book was? It spawned everything from toys to an instant-classic n64 video game, the only thing it didn't have was a movie. It would be fun to watch Vader and Xizor plot against eachother and I like the action too whether it was Luke and the swoop gang or the space station battle
  3. Hi. I was wondering if there was an Austin/Texas-based SWTOR guild and what server they play on, I am going to reroll on a new server after my Austin friends moved away (No I wasn't the reason why they moved )
  4. I had a lot of fun watching it. I'm also liking the Asajj Ventress character more and more Hopefully they tie in Anakin into the storyline. It'd be cool to see him realize what the dark side can do to a once super powerful force user Imo minute per minute these past few seasons of the clone wars have been more entertaining than most of the prequels I hated the cartoon at first but it has become one of my must-see pieces of TV
  5. Inara from Firefly/Serenity ....I'll be in my bunk
  6. Agreed, getting rid of the cutscene and speeder ride would be a good quality of life change. Seems more frustrating than fun.
  7. I loved the first month or two of SWG. It had some of the funnest world pvp I ever played at hotspots like Anchorhead, even though it got crazy with personal AT-STs and Rancors. SWG had great customization and race selection. Player housing and economies were a fun and worthy timesink thats missing from a lot of other MMO's. But it was also pretty broken. SWTOR is a higher quality game but the SWG community felt so much more active and massive in SWG. You had to interact with player crafters and vendors I also prefer SWG's timeframe since its in the awesome OT
  8. Buy gear for companions Stack consumables Buy gear for your alts
  9. I thought this was one of the better episodes of the series. The twists at the end were entertaining and visually this was one of the most impressive episodes to date. More episodes featuring the bounty hunters is always good to me
  10. Blizzard treated PVP like it was a red-headed stepchild and imo it only got worse after arena was implemented. I am disappointed that both the WARcraft and Star WARS mmo's have lacking PVP content, but it can still be fun Flying mounts in SWTOR should stay in space, or maybe as some kind of PVP zone vehicle.
  11. I miss having a flying mount and my characters which are older than my car. But all my IRL friends quit WOW and I am tired of the roller coaster ride that is the ret paladin, it felt like Blizzard had no real idea what to do with the DPS Paladin In SWTOR, it feels like each class is combination of 2 other WOW classes' best skills and strengths, and its hard going back to WOW characters that haver narrower gameplay, for example my Vanguard has both charge and deathgrip..which is awesome
  12. And I thought I was the only one to notice this. I usually skip that animation, but yea when the wings unfold it looks like its being pulled by invisible wires
  13. I have a lvl 50 Vanguard and I am now leveling a Shadow alt. I am getting bored of the game, mostly due to the frustration at how unacceptable PVP has been. I also find re-leveling too tedious, but the legacy system will probably help with that There are too many active exploits with no official acknowledgement of hotfixes to address them, specifically the 8+ Warzone exploit thats become a part of the SWTOR daily pvp routine. And another point that addresses an unacceptable aspect of SWTOR, is the frozen valor tundra hell called Illum, it was poorly designed and executed, and falls way short of what players expect from modern AAA titles. QQ
  14. Its a frustrating exploit that usually leads to a quick win for the zerging team, even if the warzone gets shut down due to an imbalance between the team populations. Just about every other warzone match is a quick zergfest And to QQ some more, its of course the Imperials on my server that regularly have the know-how and organization to pull off this easily done exploit. The Republic players on my server just don't compare when it comes to "min/maxing" the game
  15. The PVP has been a huge disappointment, mostly because of the bugs, exploits, lack of hotfixes, and the unacceptable frozen valor farming hell, aka Illum. Bioware needs to fix hacks/exploits, specifically stuff like having more than 8 players on the same team in warzone. This is a Star WARS mmorpg, with WARS in caps for emphasis. Devote more quality management to this vital part of the overall game. PvP should be awesome in SWTOR, and it can be
  16. This exploit has been very frustrating, I played about four warzone matches the other day and they were all zerged. They even were bragging about it /say chat during the warzone And of course, its the Imperials that regularly have the organization and know-how to do this. The Republic on my server are usually on the short end of the stick, none of the guilds or overall community really compares to the players on the Imperials unfortunately But whats even more frustrating is Bioware's lack of a quality response to this issue. Its unacceptable to keep locking topics about this exploit without hotfixing this problem, its not even being acknowledged offficalyby them
  17. I was disappointed with David Hayter's Jedi voice, it sounded uninspired, forced, and lacked charisma. It was like Hayter was being directed by the Prequels George Lucas, this game gave my favorite voice actor a prominent role and it wasn't up to par As for body types, I like the third one, but this game should have had one between body type 2 and 3. Robes look better on the lower bodies of body type 3, and I think helmets look proportionally better too. But Body Type 3 is also NBA basketball player tall. When you're a Body Type 3 Smuggler, it looks like you're Duke Nukem when you start kicking people
  18. Even religious texts get revised. But Star Wars is almost like a religion in itself, and is loved as such. Some revisions were cool like adding the Outrider and Jabba in A New Hope, but most of it was unnecessary and didn't make things better like Vader's NOOO! in ROTJ
  19. Madcuzbad's trolling could use some work, he's going to get banned quickly at this rate
  20. I used to regret being a Trooper, but after making a Bounty Hunter alt I'm glad I went Vanguard. The trooper's rifle/assault cannon are the major reasons why I prefer the class over the bounty hunter who has to use a pistol or two. I am not a fan of using heavy armor and pistols, the pistols just look too small and weak compared to the arsenal available to the Trooper. The BH animations, like the swiss army wrist and reload animations, are funner than the Trooper's, but the BH also has a few annoying animations imo like the Street Fighter Ryu punch and their twirling in the air pyro attack.
  21. Sure it'd be conduct unbecoming of an officer...but romancing with General Garza seems like something a lot of my fellow troopers would like, and lets say she's got the assets when you get past her wrinkles, giggity How about the rest of you maggots, would you romance General Garza? Maybe it'll become an option down the line, but considering her age the writers might kill her off before then Carry on
  22. Yea, they went for the comic book style. Having truly fat people like the Jabba dancer or Porkins wouldn't be a game breaker for me. But I suppose its hard to picture fat/obese heroes being able to put up with the constant sprinting and combat seen in the game
  23. In the prequels, all the Jedi have lightsabers, including the Younglings. In the OT, Luke was handed a lightsaber and after just a few minutres training with Obi-wan, Luke was able to deflect blasters from a flying droid. So why do our SWTOR adults have to start with weapons that look like they belong on Jabba's pig guards rather than on Jedi/Sith in training? Is it just to have some kind of lightsaber discovery cutscene? Even though lightsabers are relatively common? Imo the lightsaber should've been handed at the very beginning of the game (even at level 1) and should've replaced the lightsaber discovery cutscenes with story stuff. Of course this is just fanboy QQ. But anyone else find it strange that SWTOR sith/jedi get the short end of the stick? Is there some vital EU lore I'm overlooking? I stopped reading the SW books once the prequels were released.
  24. The leveling is too slow. I blame it mostly on the travelling and loading screens that you have to go through. It's also a significant adjustment getting used to no sprint early on, and the mounts really don't seem that fast either. I am also not a fan of flying back to Coruscant or your ship's holoterminal. That doesn't mean the leveling is difficult, it just takes a while, or seems like it.
  25. Episode 3 was the best of the infamous prequels and imo the 3rd best of the Star Wars saga. But it still falls short compared to Empire Strikes Back and A New Hope, largely because of the prequels that came before it. I really think Episode 1 was kind of a waste of time, and I think the prequels would've been better off if they had Dooku or some other side villain surviving until Episode 3. Anakin's fall to the darkside felt clumsy, and the movie just didn't make the audience really care what was going on screen. Some of the scenes were too long and boring like when Anakin and Palpatine were staring at the space opera thing, and that was a scene that was pretty important too. Padme's death and lines like "breaking my heart", could've used some more work. However I thought Ep3 had a good overall pace to the film and it was packed with fantastic action sequences, while setting the stage for what happens in the original trilogy. Finally watching Anakin's fight against Obi wan was satisfying, even if you prefer the original style combat, imo. But I'd rank the Star Wars movies as follows: Empire Strikes Back A New Hope Episode 3 Return of the Jedi Ep 2 Ep 1
