  1. I'm sure it is nearly impossible. I bet the whole combat engine should be rewritten to support this fully. Also it will raise a bunch of gameplay problems with almost every combat ability. The fact is: SWTOR was not designed for that kind of combat. Redesign would take too long and too many resources. Of course I'm not SWTOR developer and I may be wrong, but I am software developer and from my experience your idea is too ambitious.
  2. Hello. I need help from experienced PvP players from both Sentinel and Guardian side. I'm planning to create Jedi Knight alt but I'm not sure what advanced class I want to use. My priorities and criterias: My main focus is PvP. Whatever I'll pick I will play as DPS. I want to see relatively high numbers flying out from the enemy (at least about the same as my Scrapper scoundrel) I want to have good utility abilities so that I won't be useless while undergeared and could still contribute to the fight Yes, I know I can't have everything. Please, tell me what I will gain and what I will sacrifice by choosing either Adv Class. From observing Jedi Knights I can tell that guardians have more utility. Specifically, they have friendly leap which is awesome in huttball. Sentinels have high damage output and moderate durability. That's all I know about differencies. Before I make a choice I would like to know more in-depth info about pros and cons. Thank you in advance.
  3. In the first day this change was brought on live servers I realized that Ilum PvP daily is just not worth the time. To complete a daily you literary must hunt there THE WHOLE DAY. That is ridiculous. I have only about 4 hours after work to play the game and now I have 2 choices: 1. do FP daily, do WZ daily, complete some daily PvE quests, level up my second char a bit OR 2. spend all the time on Ilum hunting those stupid armaments competing against MY OWN FACTION for them or getting killed by incoming opposing faction and not being able to do anything about that. Show me the guy that invented this stupid system and I'll spit into his face ><
  4. The Exile's Crystal is experiencing lag spikes too. Literary unplayable.
  5. What it does in PvP? As far as I remeber it is 2.5 sec and mercs also have non-spammable weaker heal with 9 sec cd and 1.5 sec activation time To everyone: Please also share your opinions about how you feel about your class' PvP utility. Is it lacking something? What you would change probably? As tankassin I feel that I have a trick for ANY situation. But I'm leveling merc currently and feel that he lacks the utility that assassin has. P.S. yes, sharing opinions are also allowed in this thread as long as you have facts and arguments to support it
  6. Before I start: this thread IS NOT for QQ. Facts and arguments please. I am playing as tankassin and I'm just wondering what other classes have for PvP utility. Please share your thoughts about other classes. So, as assassin using tank spec I have: interrupt aoe knockback, single target short range knockback (spike) force pull (move enemy to your location) high mobility (force speed with relatively short cd in tank spec) 3 defensive cooldowns (spammable, vs basic damage, vs ability damage) 3 minor self-healing sources (not counting medpacks) stealth great escape ability (force cloak). Combined with force speed and ability dmg defensive cd it is 100% escape from any situation ally assisting abilities (single target taunt, AoE taunt, guard) All of this comes with good survivability and moderate sustained dps. What I want to find out is whether this counts as "rich" utility or other classes have similar list.
  7. My main is tankassin. In PvP I use tank spec and Stalker (dps) gear. Tanking doesn't really work against geared opponents but assassin can deal significant damage even in tank spec. So as tankassin you get good survivability and moderate sustained DPS. Also you get full list of PvP utility: interrupt aoe knockback, single target knockback (spike) force pull (move enemy to your location) high mobility (force speed with relatively short cd in tank spec) 3 defensive cooldowns (spammable, vs basic damage, vs ability damage) 3 minor self-healing sources (not counting medpacks) stealth great escape ability (force cloak). Combined with force speed and ability dmg defensive cd it is 100% escape from any situation
  8. Max-ter is in RRRRRRAAAAAAAAAGE!!!!1111111one11
  9. Reading first reply: o_O Reading second reply: ummm... Reading third reply: thanks God, I'm not alone!
  10. Got to Ilum yesterday. Fantastic view! What do you think? P.S. Just wanted to share my opinion with everyone
  11. I know my post will probably be useless for you but... I am leveling in tank tree and using DPS companion (double blaster pirate guy). Fights are probably longer than in DPS build but you can kill gold creatures: 1. Without healing pots 2. without using any cooldowns Just 1. Mind trap + wait for force to regen 2. crushing darkness 3. dark ward (and keep it always up, approx recast every 15-20 seconds) 4. Shock (always when it off cooldown) 5. Thrash (spam) 6. On 3 charges of Harnessed Darkness use force lightning (nice dmg + healing) 7. Assassinate whenever possible Usually I end the fight with 1/4 - 1/3 of my total HP Against high DPS gold creeps I sometimes use healer companion and do all the damage myself. Btw, tank tree is also good in PvP
  12. Almost. Interrupts are fine in solo play. BUT! The more people you have in action the worse it becomes. Interrupts already feel unresponsive in 4 player flashpoints. I want to interrupt the damn heal of that stupid little healer in Boarding party flashpoint. And I want to do it just before the cast time ends, so that this stupid pile of pixels wastes more time. Heal goes off... FAIL. But I should say that in flashpoints this delay feels more or less acceptible. The real problem is warzones - 16 players. And HERE the response time is just as high as Imperial Fleet from Korriban's surface! In warzones this delay is completely unacceptible. I can interrupt a heal at half cast bar (my reaction time) but the heal goes off anyway! My interrupt goes on cooldown wasted.
