Still busted on Black Vulkars.................................................

People need to understand that maybe BW has a 100 plus people on there team. But not all work on bugs or even the same content that you are no happy with. It may only be 10 or so people that work on illum PVP. I have been on the Dev side of things. Bugs are not as easy as you think to copy. I am shocked to see how mad people are here about a little bug. The game has only been out 2 months .. People act like the game as been out for years and stuff is not getting done. I was and still a part of iracing.com mmo. Their is stuff in that game that took 3 years for them to fix. People need to just stop being so ADD and just chill. maybe smoke one and clam down.
Entire servers not receiving kills towards daily/weekly is more than a "little" bug. Maybe if I could actually buy BM bags I could just never go to Ilum at all... That'd be wonderful.

It notifies you when you proc an ability. Everytime I laugh I get to Railshot again for spamming Flame Burst.
-
See the post you quoted and pay particular attention to the twisting and derptacular brainuerisms section.
The section with made up words is what I should pay attention to?

Hate to break it to you but the original MMOs were text and they were called MUDs and they have definitely been around for more than 20 years. In any case it doesn't matter. the point is that you super brainiac geniuses think that because MMOS have been out for many years that a company that never made an mmo should be better at it than the ones who actually have been making mmos for years.
So, in conclusion, you are idiots with bad logic and are scrambling trying to twist something I said to mean something else in order to cover for your derptacular fantastic brainuerisms.
What exactly can BioWare learn from MUDs? Nothing, the oldest 3D MMO is Meridian 59 and it was released in 95.

Not an MMO
-
Who cares, MMOs have been out for 20 years, so bioware should be champ at mmo design.
Thought you would totally get this since i used your logic and all.
Name the oldest MMO and I guarantee you it isn't 20 years old yet.

Who has 20 years of MMO exp?
No one, but it sure sounded cool.

This is just sad when people's idea of world pvp is kill/cap trading. I can see it now a new e-sport where players stand still and let others AoE them down. This is truely, truely hardcore pvp...
You have no choice when the other faction blackmails you because when we "do real pvp" they get slaughtered and camped in their own base.
So they have no reason to come to Ilum and half the possible BM bags you can get a day/week are gone.

I gave this the benefit of the doubt, I did your spec yesterday and I'm in battlemaster/champion gear, and boy let me tell you, when you don't pop relics and expertise stims it's damage on actual GEARED targets is piss poor. I have nothing against AP but the numbers of a pyro build don't lie. I don't have to pop anything to see 3k+ damage with TD and RS on fully geared targets with the exception of tanks.
Even the added utility of Hydraulic Overrides is not as amazing as you'd expect, you are still going to fall victim to 50% of the CC type abilities in this game. I like the flamethrower buff and got 2k crits(unbuffed, because claiming buffed damage as normal is basically BS) on pretty well geared targets, it's just a shame that it is so situational.
I just wasn't impressed by anything, every skills damage just seems too low when compared to pryo, and I had a much harder time dealing with classes I would normally never even flinch at while I was an AP. It wasn't all bad though, it just proves to me that AP needs serious reworking for it to really measure up to pyro or even a shield tech hybrid.

Damage is way too sporadic in the PVE set, the 15% crit yields me better results since a Powertech DPS rotation is heavy on the Railshot.
-
Grats on the sticky Taugrim.
-
The combat tech pvp armor set bugs Carbonize so that it rarely works even if conditions are perfect, this is why I wear the Eliminator set lol
-
Eh, you saying the 2 set bonus makes carbonize not work or what?
But I agree PT armor looks horrid... whats worse is Merc get a new look for BM armor but PT its the same ugly slug hat.
Yeah it basically makes it completely unreliable. Switched it for Eliminator set and have no more issues.
-
Jump just before you do it.
You'll thank me later.
-
At least one of the gear sets completely breaks Carbonize as well. I'm using the Merc set because of this so my 2 set bonus is something that class can't even use lol
-
i always hoped that it would be a PBAOE ability, very short range high threat generating. also maybe have the combust damage reduction on it as well.
its not a useless ability, i just weave it into my rotation to drop some heat, but its not a great ability
It's funny, I actually thought that's what it was until i used it and was like... wow that's very stupid looking and disappointing.
-
I'm advanced prototype. the spec is extremly fun and from the damage everyone else seems to be doing, i seem to be doing around the same if not more.
sadly I'm the only level 50 advanced prototype on my server but I don't understand why no-one else enjoys how awesome it is, as much as me?
I Haven't tried it in a while, its hard to give up either Jet Charge in a defensive heavy build or just about everything in the pyrotech tree if you are DPS spec'd. Being able to rail shot every few seconds with some luck is devastating to healers and most other classes that aren't being guarded.
Whats your average RP and RS crit like?
-
Probably because 10 seconds off grapple isnt going to change anything with current time to kill being less than 30 seconds.
Might be worth it for a huttball specialist, but then you might be best going full gimic mode with an AP build up to hydraulic overrides.
For me at least 20 seconds seems to be the magic number for an ability you might get to use twice in a fight.
Almost all the pvp CD talents for all classes seem really weak because of this. They don't turn an ability into a twice in one fight ability they just seem up once in individual fights a tiny fraction more often because of the gaps in the action being longer than the fights.
Yeah that's just what we need more CC abilities more often in a fight. Longer cooldowns force you to think about a fight not just use everything because it will be back up in 20 seconds anyway.

What does "Iron Fist" give over "Parakeet"? (Note: I currently am a full pyro dps but just to provide discussion points)
I've used both... and parakeet is just weak, I didn't even stick with it a day. I'm full pyrotech now but I still enjoy using a variation of taugrims build. It's certainly not a perfect build but as far as I'm concerned a 6 second interrupt(grav shot/force lightning/tracer spam is basically nullified) and reduced cool down on grapple is far more useful, considering 90% of games are huttball. Nevertheless grapple is still useful as an interrupt of heals and a way to get a healer or someone nearly dead out of range of heals in voidstar and civil war.
-
I don't know about out DPSing classes but I frequently pull threat off the tank if I go all out on a single target as a pyrotech. Perfectly valid DPS choice if you got the gear to support it.
-
Check out the graphs here, they'll help you understand where you are relative to capping / scaling:
Very nice, thanks for the info.

Hey Taugrim, I'm about to replace my main hand and wondered if I could get your perspective on which to Champ main hand to get, the one with 77 crit, or the one with 77 power.
I currently have 332 Crit rating, 142 Power. Would I see better gains from the power weapon or am I still not at the soft cap for crit?
