  1. PVE. I do use DI but very little. it is cheap on force but for the most part I dont have 2.3 seconds to stand and cast a heal. At first in 1.2 I was trying to cast DI before dmg was coming and cancel if it wasn't needed. I almost always cancelled it becuase it wasn't needed, another healer would heal before me or someone else took dmg and needed to be healed. I was also sick of being yelled at in mumble that so and so needed heals while i was casting DI. Right now DI is about 1% of my casts. Here is a log of the second fight in Denova: http://www.torparse.com/a/6554/1
  2. I agree 100% with thegriss, the DI nerf hit me alot harder than the consumption nerf. At this point DI isn't even in my rotation.
  3. The way the logs are setup it is very hard to tell what static barrier is absorbing. The absorb amount is counted on the dmg attack with nothing saying what ability absorbed the dmg. And the amount absorbed is not counted in your log unless you are the one that static barrier is cast on. So you wont get full stats on your casts of static barrier unless you are the only one you cast it on. Also, from the logs you can only guess that X amount of dmg is what caused static barrier to drop you are never 100% sure if it dropped because of time or because of dmg if the dmg and the time limit of static barrier are around the same time. However, I think if this was the only issue we could work around it with some guess work that would get us close to the numbers.
  4. Noticed the OP link isn't working anymore, here is a new link: http://www.torparse.com/a/2546 So I took some time to look into the log itself and noticed consumption is in the logs and so is static barrier the parser just doesn't pick it up. I noticed the consumption appears to print on two lines, line one is the fact that i cast consumption and line two looks like the health taken from consumption. It is hard to tell just what is going on here the line prints like this: 23:01:23.937 Kingofmonkeys spends 2008 . I have to assume the 2008 is health since it is right after the consumption line and is more than the total force I have. Also, I see other lines that say 23:01:26.047 Kingofmonkeys spends 27 . and others like this: 23:01:24.271 Kingofmonkeys gains 52 . I assume it is force but it doesn't say it is. It looks like the gains come from consumption but they are on different lines and most have a few lines between them and the consumption line (but less than a second gap). Looking at the logs I do notice I dont use static barrier all the time. When I'm healing I use it mostly on the tank when i think a spike of dmg is coming and on myself when i need extra time to get someone else up and dont want to die to random dmg. In the past I didn't know how much static barrier blocked but it looks from the logs that it is around 3.5k. Also I dont see how much my static barrier blocked while on other targets which seems like something my log should show. I'm going to send something to the writers of this parser to ask them to add the consumption and static barrier info to the site and maybe add force useage stats.
  5. soshla you are 100% correct. I'm healing myself because of consumption but the damage from consumption doesn't seem to show in the logs. It doesn't show overhealing and I have no clue how much healing the other healer did. It doesn't look like these combat logs are going to be very helpful until I can get other people in the op to provide their logs so we get a complete picture. even than I wont see overhealing or consumption so i'm not sure if the logs will ever be useful.
  6. Yeah I realize this doesn't show overhealing and I'm sure i did some with my purple circle as you put it. To be honest the current combat log isn't very useful for healers about the only thing we can do is compare the abilities we used and how much we used them. I have a feeling I was using my AOE heal more than most and not using Dark Infusion as much as others. The other healer was healing, I'm not sure how much since I was the only one with the combat log running. I also didn't run out of force but was close a few times when I got hit and had to heal myself and get back to my normal rotation.
  7. Last night the guild ran KP HM. I am a sorc healer and I have run this op about a half dozen times before 1.2. Last night the other healer was an op. I did notice the nerfs to my spec but I was surprised by which changes affected me the most. I found the consumption nerf to be minor; the big issue I found was the change to the proc for dark infusion. Not having that quick big heal made me sweat a few times, but the dps and tank adjusted and we got thru. I wanted to post up the combat logs (the names of everyone but me have been removed) for the final boss to get some input in what I might be able to do better. Basically I used the old rotation minus dark infusion and trying to rely on Revivification to heal me from consumption which seemed to work well if I could drop Revivification in a place that either the melee or ranged dps could also benefit. Anyway, I'm looking for suggestions. You can find the analysis of the logs here: http://www.torparse.com/a/4097
  8. Right now I see alot of pugs that will drop you if you have less than XYZ amount of health. how is this any different than seeing your dps in a meter..oh i know your health does not directly relate to how well you do your job and a dps meter IS how well you do your job. group content is group content to be done in a group, people will always have a standard they expect others to live up to so they dont feel like they are carrying other players.
  9. I hate not having combat logs. I dont know how many times my guild has been running FP's or OP's and we hit enrage or wipe and we are like..what happened? No clue. DPS are asking is there something we can do better or is it just gear? No clue. Does my rotation work better with A before B or A before C? No clue. Do I have too much crit and not enough surge? No clue. I'm sorry but any way you cut it if you are doing group content you need to group to pull their weight and without logs noone knows who isn't pulling their weight. I'm a healer and to be honest i'm sick of hitting enrage timers on bosses with everyone up and alive and all the dps saying they have no idea what they can do better. Why should I suffer wipe after wipe if I'm doing my job and others aren't? I dont mind helping people do better DPS but how can anyone help if we dont know what they are doing? How can anyone improve if they dont know what they are doing? To me not having combat logs will make more people quit the game, even the casuals will stop playing once they are fed up with wiping and can't figure out why they are wiping.
  10. Ran it last week and it bugged and we wiped. Second try we got the bug and told the sniper we had to run back and once he did no more bugs and we 3 manned him. Seems to be something with ops and/or BH's.
  11. I'd like them to fix the issue where my battle rez will rez the player outside the fp or op. Right now its about a 30% chance my battle rez will just kick them out and not rez them like it should.
  12. Wait they told you to "ask around on the forums"??? Wow you sure you were talking to someone from Bioware?
  13. <sarcasm> Working as intended </sarcasm> But really this is annoying. Ran a normal D7 last night to help someone level (lvl 48 dps) I was healer with a tank and dps all at 50 and we almost wiped to this. Took all i had to keep everyone up I'm not sure how anyone does this on hard when it bugs like that. We only saw clones of us, not other classes but 4 or 5 at a time. Is it possible there is something the group needs to do to prevent the clones?
  14. I dont have any real evidence but last night we were running foundry and everyone in the group was joking once the first piece of BH gear dropped with no BH in the group that everything would be BH including the last boss. Sure enough it was all BH gear. Its funny bad sad at the same time. I've been on both sides of this, one HM all the gear that dropped was mine and I was excited. But I've seen so many more runs where all the gear was for someone else or was all for a class not in the group. Again no proof but it does seem broken to me and I have given up getting loot from HM's and having to buy the pieces with the comm's. More often than not once that first piece drops we can predict what the other pieces are going to be. I would love to see how they do the random on these drops because I dont think its true random.
