  1. Human. Always Human. Why? Somebody's gotta represent.
  2. I can understand where you're coming from a bit as I tried to talk her out of that course of action too. However, the way I took her explanation after the fact seemed to indicate it wasn't just something she did unilaterally (which would be a little off) but something that was a consensus reached by both parties involved. And again, I don't agree with that decision at all, but I understand the reasoning that could lead to it and I don't feel that that in itself makes her a "nutcase". Of course, this is based on my own reading of events that happened off-screen and given I didn't play through it multiple times it's possible I missed something or am reading it wrong. That being said, I'm sticking to my explanation as it works for me
  3. Elaborate on that, because I don't see it. Unless you're of the opinion that anyone that actually believes in the Empire is insane. Which, ok, i can understand the opinion (though I don't share it). But even so I wouldn't at all classify Temple's behavior as erratic. Once you understand she is a patriot (with a touch of naivete ) her actions all make perfect sense.
  4. /signed Toggles people. It's not that hard. Where an issue is aesthetic, make it a toggle because then you CAN please everyone.
  5. Physician, heal thyself. Let's take a quick look at the definition of sarcasm, shall we? Ok, now lets' look at Georg's troll...er...post Note the use of the word 'shocking' as applied to the concept of classes with different names not being the same when it is blatantly obvious to anyone who can read let alone paid to play the game that they are different. This counts as harsh irony and therefore meets the given definition of sarcasm. Again, harsh irony. Also, by breaking down the obvious concept and explaining it further, as if to a child or an illiterate, he assumes a condescending tone characteristic of derision. Sneering, if you will. This also meets the definition for sarcasm. So given the above it's plain to see that the majority of Zoeller's post consisted of sarcasm. It was not constructive as no information beyond what was blatantly obvious to anyone who even glanced at the game description could tell you was present in it. It was a troll post, nothing more. What makes that so frustrating and insulting was that it was entirely unnecessary. Disregard for a moment that there are there plenty of other threads RE: operatives that are higher quality and less hysterical than this one that he could have posted in (as has been rightly pointed out by others). Looking at the posts prior to the dev remarks it is clear the OP had been met with skepticism and dismissal already by the community. There was no need for any official remark from Bioware at all on this thread as it wasn't gaining any kind of traction or generating any kind of negative situation that required damage control by a company rep. The fact that he did choose to involve himself in the thread and the way he chose to do so (by taking the time to deride a customer, however hysterical) was wholly unprofessional at best and damaging to the perception of developer interest in the Operative/Smuggler community at worst.
  6. Brilliant. Did the same. To see that this thread instead of any number of far superior ones got a response at all made me laugh. The content of the post actually angered me. I agree wholeheartedly with all the others who have rightfully pointed out that this response and the attitude it conveys is a slap in the face to the entire operative community. I encourage anyone else who found GZ's post unacceptable to flag it as a troll post as well and take advantage of the space they give for explanation.
  7. My 2 cents on Kaliyo: Kaliyo was a major disappointment for me for the simple reason that she (and Scorpio, for that matter) represent a wasted opportunity. I'm familiar with choices in Bioware games having consequences. Harsh gameplay related consequences at times too. It would have been awesome if Bioware actually gave you the ability to execute companions. Choices in a game are great, but they're far more powerful when they have actual long-term consequences. Being able to choose to lose a companion (or 2) would have been a gutsy design decision that reinforced immersion. Heck, if they were worried about the empty crew slots they could make purchasable droids along the lines of 2V-R8 that could do the Crew Skill missions though they would never gain affection. Long-term consequences for decisions. On the other hand, given that they made Dark Side scarring into a toggle I suppose I should have known that they weren't big on lasting consequences when they designed TOR.
  8. Previous poster is correct, you've enabled companion passive mode. With default key settings, ctrl 2 is the toggle for it. There's a bluish icon next to the red fist on the companion bar, if the mark under it is green, your companion is in passive mode and will not fight.
  9. After submitting a ticket I was told to make a thread here, so here goes: After one of the recent patches I noticed a dramatic increase in the frequency that other players were able to spot me in stealth during PvP. Enabling the Sneak skill does not seem to mitigate this new vulnerability. In speaking with 1 or 2 other players (non-Operative) it seems that they noticed an increase in their ability to spot stealthed Operatives as well. Further anecdotal evidence can be found in this thread. Since I didn't see anything about it in the patch notes I am assuming it's a bug. Please investigate and fix as soon as possible.
  10. Bump. Noticed this a while ago. Went from rarely being seen when in front of someone to almost constantly being spotted, regardless of Sneak. Submitted a ticket and was told to put in in the Dev's suggestion box on the forums.
  11. Concealment Op here. I started using Raina as soon as I got her and never regretted it. The combined DPS made short work of most mobs. Easily my favorite companion.
