  1. Oh my word, did you know this game has been in beta for goodness knows how long? Did you also know close to 2 million played in their srtress test? Do you know that close to 1 million have pre-ordered? Their wave crap they are doing, could of been done over 24 hours, let alone 5 days. There is absolutly no reason viable to give advantages to players who ordered early, no reason atall, especially by the fact they where not clear enough about the possibiltys of this waves "so many 1st day", "so many the 2nd", that if we get 1 million suscribers we would have to do waves over X days, if you order in 1st 1-4 days from when you can pre-order you will be MOST LIKELY PLAYING DAY 1 OF EARLY ACESS. MOST LIKELY is very vague, something they seem to be very good at, yet makes things alot more easiar to understand, and alot harder to misunderstand.
  2. Wrong, youc annot live life and say, thats life, its tough. That is what the editors are acting like. In other words the way they are acting/thinking whatever, will refelct the community. We dont give a damn, so should you. In life you act like that in a professional compagny, you will be fired pretty quickly. Try it out once and say to your boss, life revolves around me, accept it, take it, and I dont care what you think. I am who I am, I will not change adapt to anyone. If a human being acted that way, he would be locked up. How come a compagny that has 80millions US dollars of their customers decide to act in a way is if they simply dont care what a rough fork of 500'000 people complaining? Sorry NOPE dont buy it.
  3. Sorry this is not a lottery production mate. They could of easily made some sort of professional projection giving them some good fork amounts. I never asked for EXACT DATES. A full 24 hours should be largly enough for any sort of fork of predicitons of pre-orders. Think about what you write.
  4. I certainly have. Bad news sells better than good sadly. This launch has got to be a failure in most eyes of gamers. The staggering thing was rather intelligent, the way that it was gone around not. When ordering the game, they could of put one simple phrase : The earliar you pay, the quick you will play. If you order July 23, you will play on day 1 of EGA. If you order from December one you will lose out on 3 days of EGA. It did not take a scientific genius to think of that. As I certainly am not. So why cant the hundreds who have developped this game didnt either? It would of saved alot of rage, flame, trolling, bad reputation and alot of other bad words that my vocabulary doent help me with. I'm sure some of you can add some other feelings that you have felt. The problem is, now they have kinda messed up for the majority of us, they are gonna have to be squicky clean on all the other aspects : Handling bugs, lag, account hacking, customer services, add-ons, patches, downtimes, queues, etc etc. If they are not carefull, this game will be a failure like the new final fantasy online was. I hope that this is not a preview on how they will treat those who stay in the game on the long run. Only time will tell. A good initiative now would be letting everyone in before the 15th, and it will brush over, or simply give the ones that are in after the 15th 30 days free access, or something of the order will calm everyone down. Something must be done to get some order amongst the gamers, they dont have too of course, but should do, for the health of this game. I hope my trust will be built back over time so I can appreciate this game at its full content. I hope this game will blow my mind away and this is simply a fish slap in the face, hurst and smells a bit at first, but when you eat that fish well cooked, well its very pleasent! What are your thoughts? Sorry for the wall of text, and if this is a QQ thread to some, it is simply my feedback and my experience on this launch. I am also sorry for spelling and grammer mistakes, english is not my best writting language. Hope to see you all in game soon. Regards, Odin
  5. Well, for me there was no need to order earliar than December, as there was NO CLEAR ADVANTAGE announced. The lack of this communication is completely ludicrous I really am sorry. If they simply said, the quick your order, the quicker you will get early acess and be amongst these first waves, I am 100% sure that 100% of people would have ordered earliar. Being amongst an odd 20 live launches, this has got to be the most unpleasing one. The fact that others are playing before me, makes me feel traitored, makes me feel unhappy, cheated. One of the reasons I live launches, is to race others to 50, get "first on shards/cluster" finding out new stuff, teaching others, there are so many advantages you get when starting all at same time, all of them have been blown out the window. I know they said things amongst the lines of "upto 5 days" and in their EULA they can do as they like, but if they said theres gonna be 3 days of difference between one ordering in july and one in november, well it would of helped alot of hassle, anger, and alot of other horrible feelings for those who want to play and have organised their week to play, cannot play!
  6. At the end of the day. This launch, no matter which side you are on, when ever anyone talks about it, in game, at the pub, at game conventions, it will always be a huge failure for the 95% who feel they have been let down. And it will be hard to earn that trust back. We all know that bad news sells better than good news. The fact that one mentionned about when an area gets crowded a new instance is made to stabalise things, plus of course the stress test, should normally be enough to hold the amount of gamers ready to play over 24 hours, launching by the number of buyers divided by 24, launched in waves of 1 hour apart any day. The fact that this game has been wokred on for so long, could at least organise for people to do some night shifts in order to carry on these waves, and the security of the game and its servers. It's like buying 80'000'000$ worth of shares, and after 6 hours of working, everyone go's home not giving a damn about how it go's. No one in his right mind on this planet would do that, yet this is how they are treating alot of customers. Getting the deposites confirmed then changing the rules as it's their rights, without any notification. They may not have the physical 80million$ or whatever 10's of millions they will rake in, but the fact that they will get it, and just going home after 6 hours of waves, as after that they are tired and wont do any more, (or for what ever reason they deem fit) is just wrong for any paying customer in any product that is bought.
  7. I have read it of course, my timezone = 15h00. Will I play tomorrow? proberbly not. The day after? Hell knows. The fact I am in the dark is unfair, whilst others are doign exactly the reason why I I payed for a head start - to get a head start. Which I am not getting anymore.
  8. The time off for me isn't really a bother, it's simply to explain, there are numerous 100's of thousands that have proberly done the same. I took some time off to do something I am passionate about. I know the fact that they explainned "some thing" "upto 5 days" etc etc. I am underlinning the fact in the manner they have gone about all this, without informing the paying customer, ( yes I have been debited my credit card) about their ways of being! Staggering the launch is one thing, explainning your position in "the queue" (their terms "wave") is another we all should be intitled too when paying for this.
  9. I would like to UNDERLINE THE FACT that it is within the MANNER they have done it all
  10. Ok, I repeat, i wouldn't mind them doing things the way they are now, if they simply explainned in a simple manner that July-august will start playing the 15th,Sep-oct 16th and rest 17th when I was buying the game! I mean they did NOT wait until the last minute to organise the launch, especially by the fact this is their first huge game etc etc. They knew about this for months, decided to keep things quite, to avoid anyone being disgusted by their way of doing things, with heavy critism/journalism etc. Theres a huge lack of clear communication, and nothing to rectify it either.
  11. I am sorry, I honestly dont care if I got in today or not, this thread would exist anyway. I am a person who speaks his mind when an injustice is made. Any sales person will tell you that decieving customers, on the long run will always haunt you. This launch for many years to come, will be talked about for all the wrong reasons amongst 1 million people over the next decade. I think they messed up. To repare things, one would think they open the gates and make queues, more servers, like the stress test? Are you kidding me - they say... It's simply wrong letting others play, before someone else has payed the same price as you.
  12. I'm sorry, after assisting over 30 odd LIVE games, I have always started on the date that was announced. This is simply the way I have done over the last decade of online games. I didn't know this was the "new way" of fooling customers. How honestly dumb of myself to think I have a right as a paying customer to be upset that I am not treated liek another paying customer.
  13. I get that mate, I really do, but they never explainned at what rate. I mean theres a difference between waiting 1 hour or upto 3-5 days. The head start for the ones on day 1 is huge, and was notified no where it was going to be that big. In other words the editors are favorising early payers, which is also mentionned no where. They simply cannot change things like that, without taking into a fact that there are close to 1million buyers. It's just plain wrong. They should of simply waited the 15th liek announced and have queues, mroe servers whatever, the tests, beta stress was all done. They know exactly what they can/cannot handle. Sorry I cannot approuve this.
  14. Then keep it 5 at let everyone in at same time so it's fair? Why help others? This is NOT what I payed for. If I wanted a lottery ticket, well I would of got one. There was no mention of this ruling anywhere, which is againt the law.
  15. Aloha fellow forum readers, Well, I took the afternoon off, and tomorrow off. I now realise that theres no need as I pre-ordered November. I have assisted in many launches of MMORPG's. This has got to be the most unpleasant experience upto now. I mean, in the stress test, in beta, this should of all been "tested", this should NOT be happenning now, unless all progression is erased on the 20th. Why? Simple. It's simply not fair that anyone who has purchased the game for pre-release starts earliar/later than another. We all have payed to be the start of something, we all start on equal terms, that is one of the top reasons people like starts of new games. There is absolutly no reason for the editors to be doing this strategy on top of the fact of keeping us in the dark. All tests have been done, no valide reason. I simply do not understand the reasons of acting this way, towards fellow suscribers. If they had explainned this with only 5% of the thought that was put into their "conditions of acceptations" (them agreements we all tick to suscribe) then I honestly couldn't give a rats behind. But no they explainned nothing. The fact that they change things, the fact that they do things without a care in the world may just be a preview of how they will be all the time. I honestly hope not as it will drive this potential fairly descent game in a thick brick wall. Think of the hundreds of thousands of human beings that have organised their week for this game. If these people where taken for gullable fools for other matters in the world, such as things that where modified last minute, for paying customers for any product that adults buy, I can assure you, alot of lawyers would be taking these game editors and their compagnies to court. All though they have protected themselves through all their wall fo text we all click "I agree" too, it all means nothing in the eyes of the law. As this enters the "scam" area. Nothing applys to their "conditions". All though this is just a game, it is still a scam for changing things without notifieing paying customers is simply against any ethic, any code of conduct for retailers. No matter what rights they think they have, this is completely wrong. I strongly suggest that they start openning up to simply explain themselves for the reason they are doing these "waves", when the beta stress test has already occured. Why are they being so quite about things, simply let us know what is going on with our own pre-order dates. P.S sorry for any errors in this wall of text, I am not from England.
  16. ***... that why the hell are there so many USA/Canada
  17. Donty worry be happy : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWHpcKXt-qQ&feature=related Seriously its funny.
  18. Bioware, if there is anyway you can send me that mail, and initiate my account, I will gladly pay you 50$ through my paypal account Seriously... Thinking about it, they could make alot of money that way, and honestly, money not being a problem for me, I would do it.
  19. I think they should vary the invitations depending on we live. Say there was 10'000 first day, it all should be divided amongst all the countrys suscribed As I live in switzerland I'm 100% sure I would be in by now This way you get quicker publicity as you get success amongst all nations and not just USA.
  20. Stephen can we get some numbers per wave? How many they plan on doing? Over what schedule of time, if all stays smooth?
  21. What kinda bothers me is the lack of communication from the game editors. I took this afternoon off, and tomorrow to play this game. Now I understand the fact that they want a stagerring start, and applaud their way of doing, but the lack of communication of : Your pre-order was 452'874 which means you will be able to play the game between the 14th-15th. Cant be to hard to send a bulk mail can it? You developpe one of the most stat of the art's game in the universe, but can't send your customers a simple mail of when and how? I'm looking for the marketing side of this, normally there is always one, but cannot find a thing! I found on some other forums that people who CANCELLED their pre-order have got access and still can join LIVE if they re valide the payment. They recieved that mail at launch time of the USA. One actually re ordered and could play right away. It is not suitable to treate paying customers this way. You can't say something, then say nothing to follow up. Wet the apetite then say theres no meal. It's bad marketing. This may be something in the long run that will ruin this game : communication, updates, client services, bugs etc etc.
  22. I would like to know, how is it when something close to 5% of pre orders are playing at this current time, how is it that the servers have population mostly "high" and "medium", that would mean 40-80% full...Where can they fit the rest of us in without any crashes?
