  1. I'm kind of interested in spec choices on an Inf. Below are my specific questions: 1. 2/31/8 is it better for the 2 points in Kenetic to be on technique mastery or applied force? 1.a. Depending on the answer to the above is/would it be better to spec a different way for the 2 points? What I mean is 6% AP may be better in PVP due to tanks and their gear but for OP's and FP's it may be that AP is better etc. 2. Is upheaval worth the benefit of the 45% proc. chance or would it be better to go with a 7/31/3 spec similar to: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#601Mc0MZhGrRkhMbtzZc.1 (not saying my 7/31/3 build is the correct way to do it) Just more curious if upheaval is truly worth it in PVP and PVE. 3. Regarding both specs above: Is the 2 points in security breach worth it or better spent on something like battle readiness for the 30 sec. decrease on the cool down? That's all for now. Of course the real test isn't against a target dummy its against RAID boses and players. That will come in time though...a dummy should allow us to figure out the math behind the damage calc's because i'm not positive that sithwarrior's calculations are 100% correct.
  2. Don't do this unless you find yourself running the ball in huttball, otherwise stay in ST the whole time. The reason for this is force breach is your biggest hitting attack and in Combat Technique its a debuff. FB when in ST, 5 stacks of ES, with relic, FP, and BR will hit upwards of 4-5k...
  3. This is incorrect. PVP is balanced among a group of people, and not from class to class.
  4. You can't nerf one tree and not expect it to hurt PvE and the other 2 trees...one of which needs a buff.
  5. While i'm not a BM I will say that SV is semi-useless. At lower gear levels it does help mitigate some damage that at higher gear levels evens out. Prior to being all Champ and just being 50/50 PVP/Cent gear that is. Once I hit 3/4ths Champ gearing SV went away and I haven't noticed it.
  6. Zintair, If you need an Inf shadow, I can help you there. I've been Inf 100% of the time leveling and all throughout PVP (WZ's only mind you) up to 55 valor level now as Inf. Small time spent as Kinetic to test out all the hub ub and didn't like it.
  7. ^^ Happens to me all the time...setting up burst on a Marauder, and poof he's gone...rocks floating in the air.
  8. I keep hearing that Shadow is weak in PVE questing...I don't buy it. I leveled from 1-50 as Inf (2/31/8) I had to keep the douche canoe with me the whole time, but so what. I had no problems at all with any quest, save Attis Station (enjoy that one!!). No, I never came out of any group fight or elite fight with 100% health, most times I was around 30-45% health. While that my bother you, I don't know what to tell you other than that's the life of the Inf.
  9. The only thing I can say is this: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=357823 From people who play Assassin/Shadow at the highest possible level.
  10. Yes, it gets better. Stop spamming shadow strike. Clairvoyant is your spam attack. Use stealth and pick your targets and read some of the stickies.
  11. Thanks for the response. I do believe though that per Powerr's PVP thread that it was determined that Technique Mastery was better than Applied Force? *shrug*
  12. I'm sure this has been asked many times about various specs and I'm looking for some rationale one vs. another. The unfortunate part is I don't believe there is a DPS sim out right now for Shadow so compairing one spec to another without some math behind it could be troublesome. At any rate, I wanted to compare this spec: 7/31/3 To this spec: 2/31/8 From both a PVE DPS stand point and a PVP stand point. Pro's or Con's etc. If anyone has any thoughts please chime in!
  13. It's a known issue. Happens to me regularly. Just modify the angle and don't get right behind the target, get slightly off to the side a little bit and it doesn't do it as much.
  14. Please forgive/correct me because I may be reading the tool tip incorrectly for Force Focus, but the tool tip says (on TORHead mind you) "Increases the damage dealt by Force Technique's Force Breech effect by x%" To me that says if I put points into it, it will only take effect (i.e. work) when using force breech in force technique and not shadow or combat technique. So to me that would be a waste of points in all builds for an Inf. Shadow. Thoughts?
