Petition to get rid of credit sink with moving armor mods
lightSaberAddiCt replied to stevmed's topic in General Discussion
Cmon, that is asking for a touch much, isnt it? I mean they just removedmthe ability upgrade cost, I mean everything cant be free. It is very easy to make credits in this game, especially when you start doing dailies. There has to be some credit sinks. -
16gig on video card, and 16gig on my box.

I have to say, that when I saw the change to the skill trees, I was MAJOR P$%SSED. But after some time, it really isnt that game breaking for me anymore. I did like the progression of having to earn my abilities as I leveled, and YES I liked even the illusion of making my character my own. But now I really don't pay attention to it. It wasn't as game breaking as I thought it would be. The only thing that has been extremely frustrating since this expansion is the constant lag, specifically the ability lag. Now if they would just fix that I would be happy.

Is Regular Leveling (10+) Really Broken?
lightSaberAddiCt replied to arunav's topic in General Discussion
Blue gear is worthless, get orange gear and keep mods up to date and nothing has changed. I am leveling a sorcerer assassin, and yes the mobs are a little tougher...thank god...cause I have had to fight mobs around 4 levels higher just for the challenge. If you want to play using blue gear, and not properly gearing your companions, guess what...it will be harder. -
There really is no need to toned npcs down, to cater to the lowest common denominator. If people would actually learn what is good gear, instead of running content with crap gear and then QQing how hard it is. That is what comms are for, keeping your gear in line with content.
-
not sure why people continue to use blues and greens anf thinking it is good gear, it is crap! Get orange gear and keep mods updated, then you have at least decent gear.

This used to be not a problem, you could deselect the missions, keeping only the ones you want. But then after a patch, you wouldn't get your token and had to submit a ticket. My guess is, instead of spending much time on truely fixing the bug, it was much easier for them to make it to where you had to have all the missions selected, since the bug was happening when you deselected some FPs. Falls on the same ground as the 'Quick patch" for the project animation.

Do lots of players actually do space missions?
lightSaberAddiCt replied to Pcolapat's topic in General Discussion
There are actually upgrades beyond level 5, they can be made by cybercrafters, or you can get them as random rewards for finishing all the bonuses on the missions. -
Yeah, this game sure is losing people...
lightSaberAddiCt replied to Lium's topic in General Discussion
Don't really see this as a bad thing. PVP players are notoriously fickle, they jump to the next FOTM pvp MMO, as soon as it comes out. Not really going to say I am going to miss the hardcore pvp'rs anyways. -
Single player content
lightSaberAddiCt replied to darth_craig's topic in Flashpoints, Operations, and Heroic Missions
Any 50 can get themselves entry level geared to do OPS, just by making sure you have all orange gear, and doing a couple days of dailies to get the armor 126, daily mods and enhancements to put in the armor. Once you get them put in the orange armor, you basically have better then most tionese, and can start doing ops, to get your columi etc. -

lightSaberAddiCt replied to Pcolapat's topic in General Discussion
That is your opinion, personally I am looking forward to the new space missions. They are a great distraction from daily leveling, or getting BH comms. So what if it is on rails, it is still fun. When I see someone post something like: "well I won't even give it a chance cause it is on rails" shows me a pretty closed minded person. -
Actually from what I have read, those added character slots will be locked for the F2P option. So if you are F2P, then you have access to 1 or 2 character slots, whether they allow access to the others if you buy them in cash shop, I don't know. And just because you purchased the game with 8 slots, that was for the subscriber model, you can't expect to have access to them all with F2P without purchasing them through the cash shop, or however they chose to do it.

Ops & WZ are great. What about STORY?
lightSaberAddiCt replied to Uluain's topic in General Discussion
Go buy KOTOR! It never ceases to amaze me when people complain about grinding, that is the MMO...deal with it. -

lightSaberAddiCt replied to Uluain's topic in General Discussion
Yes but the problem is, if they start dedicating development time, to satisfy a very, very small percentage of these "solo players" rather then adding endgame content, more pvp etc, then what is going to happen is that they will lose more subscribers then the gain. Just because this game also tries to market to 'casual' players, does not mean they should upset the larger player base for them by focusing on stuff that most people just don't care about. And MMO, is by definition a community based game, it is not made to market to people that want to just play alone all the time, it just offers the ability to level up alone. -
Because of the context and manner that they ask. If the OP had just posted a simple question, rather then ranting and raving about it then more then likely, would have received a positive response.
-
Whether someone is a PUG or not, they are joining the OP and should have every right to roll on stuff they need as an upgrade. The only exception I would make to this, is if a guildy was looking for a specific drop, and it was mentioned that if this dropped, it was his before the start of the run. The guild that pulled this crap should be called out in general, letting everyone know that if you do an ops with them, you do it at the risk of being screwed over.

Flashpoints too fast
lightSaberAddiCt replied to Petnil's topic in Flashpoints, Operations, and Heroic Missions
Then maybe you should join a RP guild, instead of trying to ruin it for everyone else. I mean exactly how many times do you have to run an FP "for the story" of it? Some people are doing it (actually the majority of people) to get their BH comms, and get on to other things. If you want to do it with "for the story" find a couple like minded people, and group and and take your time. But don't try to say everyone should be forced to do something like that every time. Its bad enough we are forced to accept that in almost every HM FP, there is at least 1 person that wants to watch everything, but now you are asking to make them even longer? Just out of curiousity, how long have you been playing this game? -

Honestly I think you are really looking for a console game not an MMO. Basically, you just stated that you do not wish to do ANYTHING that is generally related to an MMO, no raiding, no pvp, no daily questing. Sounds more like you are a console player that just doesn't understand the basic definitions of what an MMO is, and/or its progression. -
I hate to be the one to tell you this, but if you are waiting for hours for a group finder to pop...being a tank...then I am thinking you are on alot of ignore lists. It is pretty instant to get groups in the GF as tanks and healers.
-
Hmmm. I don't know, maybe lag issues in the Operations and flashpoints for 1, not to mention more raiding content. Though I enjoy space, think it makes more sense to build up the ground work before putting all their cookies in the space basket, when alot of people haven't even bothered to play the initial space game. I am sure it may be some side project of theirs, but I wouldn't expect it anytime soon if I were you.
