I'm only level 10 on Typhon at the moment but have SLI working like I said before with 2xgtx580s. I't works on 285-290 drivers, I can confirm that because I've tried all different drivers when switching to triple screens. The only problem I have is extreme overheating with my primary card at 88c when going triple screen and my secondary at 80c, when using single screen they sit at 70c and 62c. It sounds like a problem with your rig tbh...

Sli does work in this game, I just don't think it's scaling well at the moment. Have you run MSI Afterburner to check your gpu usage? My cards show between 70 and 99% usage each.

I'm running sli 580s with a 2500k @4.6ghz and have to say the game doesn't seem to scale very well for in sli, wondering if other users are having this problem? Worst still, when I switch from single to triple screens I go from 100-111 fps down to around 35fps!! At first I thought I might be running out of VRAM but that doesn't seem to go much above 700mb in MSI Afterburner even on triples. I mainly bought triples for sim racing but seeing as I can run games like dirt 3 at 75fps maxed on triples I thought I would've got similiar results with SWTOR. I've tried drivers 285-290.36 with no noticeable differences so any feedback or advice would be appreciated

Fully agree with the OP, loving this game! The funny thing is I come out of the game absolutely buzzing then read all the doom and gloom threads on here and wonder if I'm actually playing the same game...
