Yep, that's probably the answer to all of those "I have the XP but I don't have gear" threads that keep popping up everywhere, but for some reason everyone keep forgetting about those vendors that exist on every planet
Isn't the Hoth gear vendors white gear still?

Not at all.
Bioware is only offering a considerable XP boost, whenever you're completing class story quests. Repair bills, gearing up your character, travelling, etc etc, is all on you.
As it should be.
Feel fortunate that you -- apparently -- don't have to pay to class trainers to learn new abilities with this buff.
Actually they do mention you can level "exclusively through class missions" http://www.swtor.com/shadow-of-revan?intcmp=sor_bwa-mkt-t-us-hp-156 (click on ? mark next to "Limited-Time Class XP Boost").
I had to buy alot of gear to do chapter 2 finale of the Sith Warrior story line. I have max presence and all 4 buffs. A brand new player with 0 alts is going to have a hard time with the gear grind. They really did not think this through correctly.

try a different browser / computer / internet connection

Hey. Did you know they put a quest in for you to be able to do this? You pretty much just have to spend $20 then you can start the quest and part of it, you have to re-earn all your gear and stuff. But hurry! It is a limited time thing. Only lasts until December 1st.
and if you are not a sub, gotta add 15 per month on top of that.
-
You pay the full price when you pay for the pre-order.
-
They should feel like the Home Worlds (DK and C) where there are large enough to have have all the missions, but small enough that you would actually see other players in the same area.
Makeb felt empty in terms of allied players and maybe saw 2 enemy players across 16 toons during levelling.
-
They limited it to 5 for economic reasons. Having more mission runners would inflate supply and drive prices down.
-
Basically what I read is that "I still want a complicated system to allow me to be a hybrid" which means they would be testing more than 24 specs for which they do not have time for which is why the Discipline system is in place.
You can still be a hybrid by being a dps in the skill tree ad choose the healing options in the utility part. This narrows the number of possible builds that can be tested and balanced.
-
because subs get free cc every month and they would use them to pay for xpac. Bioware loses money.

I'd say it's safe to assume we'll get 10 11 and 12 augments with 3.0 just like 7 8 and 9 came with 2.0. As far as the actual rating I have no idea.
Hopefully, they add 1 tier of augments instead of 3.

I assume they will add a Rishi and Yavin IV planetary comm vendor on fleet. Then convert Basic / Elite / Ultimate to planetary comms and roll out a new BEU comm system.
-
Based on the Sorcerer livestream yesterday, you can go dps spec and add some nice healing abilities to be more of a kiting player or add damage abilities to be more brute force dps.
-
Or they could fix Harbinger.
You cannot fix an over-populated server. I do not think adding more servers to the Harbinger farm will do anything.
-
Harbinger has a 50 percent chance to die on Saturday nights.
12x XP is bringing alot of people back
3.0 is going to bring people back
Near peak times there is server lag (seen since launch of conquests / strongholds)
It is time to bring another PVE West Coast Server into the mix and allow free transfers. East Coast has 2, but West Coast only has 1.
Please help your player base before 3.0 kills the server.

So the Mentor on fleet will disappear?

it dawned on me after I submitted my post, I had just read about the Revan statue being huge.

edit: nevermind
-
I understand people who want a choice of spec to queue under, but I think its obvious since no class can heal and tank that those roles would be picked first as opposed to dps queue, so in the end if the player wants to tank or heal, they should queue as such as they will get into a group faster than dps and their "choice" or tank/heal and dps is never really a choice to begin with.
-
Absolutely! From both the random and hand selection we will make sure to cover every type of player. Very casual, hardcore PvP, progression Ops, etc.

Are you sure you cannot just drop the Discipline part on pts so we can test various builds. Add a level 60 booster there as well.
-
As someone who had 16 level 50s at 2.0 launch, it does not bother me. Gives me a chance to level on a different server instead of Harbinger when it crashes. As time goes by, things become easier. That is the nature of all MMO's. After getting all my toons through Makeb, I took like an 8 month break since there was no gear progression for a solo/fp player like me.
Cant wait to gear up to level 60 and go do Soa by myself.

Companion missions are classified as Companion missions in the Quest Log.

Haven't been a sub since early 2013, I am back but I know no one cares, but it would be interesting who else is resubbing today (for the 12xp event).
Welcome Home......

New tactical flashpoints drop them as well.

The Lord Renning fight brought back memories, but the republic equivalent which has 0 meaning is a cop out to lower development time. My immersion is broken.
