    Sorc/Sage Heals....

    Ok, seriously. They literally ruin all pvp lol. How can anyone with half of a brain defend this crap. Sorc heals coupled with guard. Bioware, what are you thinking rofl. What a complete and utter joke. Sigh, zero good mmo pvp games in the market. Dev's are just too stupid across the board in this genre. Back to ESEA CSGO for an actual attempt at a balanced, competitive game. So sad. What a wasted opportunity.
  2. While it can be fun no doubt, it doesn't have a place in any real team in arena. All other options are far better. I have played rogue in WoW since release, gladiator several times (and currently) blah blah blah, so I understand giving up dmg for control and support. That is rogue in WoW. The problem is the burst potential of conceal is just trash compared to the other classes. The disparity between the other options and conceal is just too large. Volatile substance is conceal's hardest hitting ability and it is by far the worst designed spell/ability for a melee burst class in any MMO I can think of. It's clunky, can be cloaked/evasioned off, takes a dot to trigger... just awful in every respect. /shrug, I have 3 other, better classes to play. I was just shocked Bioware would have such a poorly constructed spec considering the other ac's I have tried are fun, including my underpowered Merc healer. Conceal is just... garbage lol.
  3. So, yea... got full t2 pvp gear on the Op today and the dmg is HORRIBLE! Lol, how can this be considered a dmg dealer. I also have a sniper, mara, and pt all full t2 pvp gear and this conceal dmg is just awful. Yes, I understand the abilities. Yes, I am bursting correctly. Still is so much less burst than any of my other DPS full t2 pvp toons (even post-nerf to sniper and pt dmg). Wow. Crazy. I was wondering why conceal ops were never seen in solo q... now I know why. Too bad lethality bores me to tears. Oh well.
  4. Hrm, Here is my response... 1. Train PT/Vanguard's in to the dirt. Force defensive cd's then swap back to them after and their dmg is pretty much cut in half if they are running away (they can't be up close to spam magnetic blast or use rocket punch to supplement their burst). Their defensive's are on long cds which makes them easy swap targets. As someone else stated, by the same logic shouldn't snipers and merc's be more of a priority for nerfs due to insane crit dmg? I don't think so. They lack a healing debuff (snipers have same burst, same crit dmg, way better surv, a healing debuff, a ranged cc/interrupt and a group damage reduction). PT's are about "just right" on what they bring to the team as far as support from a melee'ish AC. Taunt, carb, grip... all useful but not op at all. Don't get me wrong, I was on the PT "hate train" too a few weeks ago. Now, I don't have an issue with them what-so-ever. Class stacking multiple PT's, that's a whole other ball of wax but tbh, I feel mara/sniper or pt/sniper are WAY stronger dps combo's for any 4v4 team with pt/pt being behind those combo's by a good amount. 2. I actually agree with you on this one. I don't think, however they should be nerfed too much. Maybe a reduction on the size of their bubble while bringing the other 2 healing classes in line with the sorc/seer healer healing throughput. Also, barrier is what really makes them so good along with phase walk. If the other classes had access to similar abilities, they'd be strong too. You simply don't have to be as good of a healer, position-wise, playing a sorc/seer healer right now (not naming names but just watch some of the twitch streamers /shutter). They simply have too many "idiot proof" buttons to press atm. 3. Jugg/Guardian are great 1v1 classes, but as others have stated who cares, hehe. This game shouldn't be balanced around 1v1's. In the team game they are just ok. I feel mara is actually way better in the team game, but I digress. They don't bring a healing debuff so their 15% crit dmg bonus from the class (as opposed to the 10% mara's get) and 50% dmg stacking buff on next ability when snared is warranted. I think they have their niche, mainly solo q due to strong self-healing. 4. While I agree with the burst being really high on MM sniper/SS slinger, I do not agree that they need a nerf to dmg. I feel like they could use a nerf to their close-range defensive's. As someone else said, they really have too many tools up close all the while being a fierce long-distance class while bringing insane CC and team support along with a healing debuff (as stated before) all while not being charge'able or grip'able. Just too many "outs" for a ranged class. Perhaps getting rid of their absorb or longer evasion cd or longer cd on roll or a minimum distance dead-zone for all their knock/roots. A good sniper/gs can make swapping to them almost impossible to hide and once a team finally gets there, MM/SS's have some of the strongest close-range defensive's of any DPS in the game. 5. I honestly have zero issue with DOT sorc/seer atm. (No, I don't play a sorc. I play a mara/sent as my main spec but I play them all as alts) This spec really shines in regs but come 4v4's they fall off big time IMO. 6. Deception sin/shadow is another class I think is fine for now. While the new low-slash is really good, imagine if they didn't have it with the force speed nerf. Seems like it would be over-kill on the nerfs. As for buffs, I would hold off until the over-tuned ac's (sorc/seer healer and MM/SS close-in defensives) are looked at. Don't want the pendulum to swing too far by doing nerfs and buffs at the same time unless it means giving the other 2 healing ac's more "idiot proof" buttons to press. We are headed toward another Op/Scound healer situation where everyone will have to roll a sorc/seer healer if they want to be viable as a healer, just like rated WZ's pre-S1.

  6. Yea, the low FPS on insane rigs is pretty deplorable. I have 2x 980 Ti's, latest-gen i7, 16 gigs of ram, full SSD and still like 30 fps in PvP, just lol. More graphically intense games just fly while this old *** game is a slug. I have read the cause is poor optimization of the UI. Not sure though.
  7. It's not Bioware. It's the crappy external patching company they use. I have had nothing but problems with SWTOR updates it seems. The tech issue isn't their fault but using such a garbage company IS their fault. The BW tech's are probably waiting to hear back from that trash company so they can respond.
  8. I played BETA and was less than impressed. I will not be spending my $$ on that pile of trash. The maps are horrible (funnel's everyone in to horrible choke-points or random respawns all over the map). I will admit it looks pretty but the core game-play is trash. It's been downhill for DICE since BF3. BF4 and Hardline are horrible... each one worse than the last. Which leaves us at Battlefront. A masterpiece of garbage.

  11. Exactly the same % for me. If this turns in to another "work-around" for the same issue I have on my laptop (won't go past a certain % while updating), I might be done. I am not creating a new profile in windows on my main computer just for SWTOR.

  13. Lol, healing is fine. It's healing coupled with tanks. Tanks are doing entirely too much dmg in PvP while adding far too much utility to the group. That and PT's. Those 2 things are crippling any competition to be had outside PT's and tanks. /endthread Edit: No, my main isn't a healer. It's a dps and I think healing by itself is fine.

  18. Just tested it with some random in general, he/she says you cannot see it in stealth. While I generally trust him/her I would like confirmation if at all possible. Thanks.
  19. Hey Guys and Gals, Does anyone know if the little droid that comes down when you have your weapon out shows in stealth? Thanks. Edit: When I am stealthed on my Sin the droid is not stealthed too. I want to know if enemies will be able to know my position when stealthed based on that droid. Thanks.

  21. Hello, I just picked up mara again and am grinding the pvp gear. I was curious if anyone had a list or something that would show me the best set, and off-set pieces for Carnage/Combat. Or even a stat priority would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Edit: I see the guide down in a different thread but as I skim it, it seems to be mainly directed at PvE. Does that directly translate over to PvP or is it a completely different approach?

  23. As far as I can remember, they said it will be deathmatch style. I couldn't find the thread/blog if you asked me to. Someone else might be able to. I know there is supposedly some "blog update" coming soon.
