I am with TalkingDinosaur on this one. Why do you need a guide ? Just play the game .

People don't like to experiment. Everyone wants THE winning build and they forget it's about the journey and do things your own way rather than person X way. If mobs don't bow down to you and die on their own then there is an issue with the class obviously. It's the result of total dumbing down introduced by Blizzard's Wow. No patience to try something and in many cases a lack of brain cells as well. Also I don't get this rush to max level in a brand new game. I was playing eq2 before this and I saw this idiot coming to the eq2 forums and complain that it took people 2 weeks to lvl to 50 and clean entire raid content and then they got bored ... well duh ... that's pretty daft isn't it?

Yeah I actually have seen this bug quite often. She is the only one that gets a generic black appearance , but only sometimes, not all the time. I have a hard time believing it's my graphics card, it would happen to all charactars then, but no, only she bugs out and only sometimes and only when she gets the spotlight, meaning she is the only character in a scene, like when she's talking for example.

I am not exactly sure why you are complaining. Personally ( lvl 34 sentinel ) I am destroying the mobs. I can even take 2 gold star mobs at the same time and win - that was a borked pull basically when I ended up with both on me but I killed them both. Normal mobs , jump in, build some focus, land 2 aoes and finish off what's left. Gear wise, I only have comendations gear and mods plus of course quested bits, use T7 and I pick up stuff for him from quests. Yes he does take a beating but that's what he's there for. He dos die quite a bit but I don't care, he's there to keep the mobs off me . I am now on Balmorra and have no issues whatsoever. Darth Angral - got him on first attempt even though my Kira has really crap equipment ranging from lvl 16 (!) to about 25 , and no that is not a joke ... i think it's all down to using everything you have in your arsenal at the right moment. Gear wise I only care about str / end / critical - I like seeing crit numbers when I hit. I have about 20% crit chance - I don't know how it compares to other players but there it is ; hp about 6k I think.

haha me too. I have never played a game which has even close to the amount of cinematic scenes Swtor does. Absolutely love it and as a sentinel I really feel like a Master Jedi and the central person in this story .

wow, didn't even realise Valis was such an issue. I beat him on my first attempt at lvl 23 on my sentinel. I have to say I love the game thus far, reached 34 last night. All it takes is take a bit of time and read what your abilities do, realise when it's time to apply them and just do it. we have a fair number of abilities we can use to keep ourselves alive and the higher I get, the more and more I learn so that gives options. Difficulty wise this fight is balanced perfectly and should not be dumbed down. There's nothing wrong with having to think a little every now and then.

I read through this thread and i have to say one thing .... This is swtor, not eq2 , not wow. Please DO NOT try to get a flawed system like EQ2's here. I find crafting and resource gathering in SWtor is different and I like it. Eq2's crafting sucks and no one should implement that boring system. Leave it where it belongs and let's enjoy the system we get in swtor. I am sure it will get better over time. Just the fact that I can send my companions out there to gather resources while I do other stuff is a time saviour however you look at it. So my advice, if you miss the system from EQ2 that much, please don't let us stop you from playing your dream game.

I do prefer swtor's. Staring at 4 crafting bars and clicking some "arts" every now and then is mindlessly boring and not an experience I want to try. I havd 8 chars in eq2, none does crafting and never will. It's that boring.
