So, this is good news actually. Veterans know the content and will be able to guide newbies through it.
That;s how I see it.
Ahh, and I will be finally able to go thru Foundry and Maelstrom Prison with my low lvl alts! because doing them now via GF is IMPOSSIBLE and they are vital to the story.
how will that happen when the vets are no longer playing this game?

No, these are the facts. No new operation(s) in KOTFE. They won't change their mind. They won't rush to create one now even though 90% of the fan base has had their temper tantrums in the forums (including myself). This is it. Were stuck with it or we can leave.
So when can we expect a new operation(s)?
If Chapters 1-9 are released on October 20, and assuming when they say the rest will be released starting in early 2016 on a monthly bases, that doesn't necessarily mean Chapter 10 will be released in January 2016, but lets say it does, that means the final chapter, chapter 15, won't be release until July 2016. So no new operation(s) until after June 2016! Makes my stomach sicker and sicker the more I think about it.
I'm done if they don't have a new ops out by November.

To the complainers, they have said MULTIPLE TIMES that there would be no new ops and such. Those would be coming later.
Guess it doesn't really matter. You won't be missed.
you'll miss us when they shut this game down for not being profitable.

I like how raiders of any game other than old school EQ call themselves raiders, or hardcore.
EQ players are mostly gone because mmos have become trash and pointless, I'm sure even the vanilla crowd no longer subscribes to any of these trash can games.

I usually don't post with this intent because ultimately its futile and I'm just one voice but you've "grinded my gears™" to such a degree I need to release steam.
First off I want to comment on how disappointed I am with your development team at this stage in the game. When this game launched I was unhappy but accepting that your development team had yet to understand the nature of the mmo beast in terms of what drives these games to survive and that your arrogance of story will conquer all was just naive ambition. However three plus years later this kind of naivety is unacceptable, foolish, and lazy.
If you want to make a single player game, then go make one and stop wasting your leash with the fans of this series as you have horribly the last decade. You have no pass with the mmo community any longer to put out a product that does not address all aspects of a respectable mmo, and this is a shot across all game developers bows you folks are putting out pure **** and we are sick of it.
I have been in the mmo community for over 15 years and I am disgusted by the products that you people at companies like EA and Blizzard are puking at us and getting away with because you have polluted this genre's waters so profoundly that we have no choice but to consume your ****! I have a sad development for you however, myself personally... I think I've eaten enough **** over the last five years that I've had enough of MMOs in general, and if that is the case this will be the last EA product I ever buy since you will be the harbinger of the end of my mmo enjoyment.
If you give a flying **** about changing the course of my gameplay destiny as your pitiful little freedom of flight story choice ******** seems to indicate you need to face the fact that you can no longer throw upon the masses a game with voids. that means;
1) You need to address PvP with a responsible and enthusiastic team, you have not done this once and if you think about it you're going on attempt two with this story angle when you really should have thought about giving this a serious shot. THIS IS COMING FROM A DEDICATED PVE PLAYER HERE JESUS CHRIST!
2) You can not continue with this 5+ month gap between new raid content, you seem to not understand that high end pve guilds are what drive mmos and if you lose them your game is dead in the water as you have no one providing incite on how to play this game at a high level. Also it seems you haven't figured out that this is how you make an mmo feel stale and dead!
3) Your efforts need to be holistic and encompassing, make your god dam stories matter not just to single players but to the whole *********** community!. WE DO WANT STORY BUT WE WANT STORY THAT HAS A FUNCTIONAL GOD DAM PURPOSE! MAKE THE PVP HAVE A STORY! MAKE THE PVE HAVE A STORY! JESUS CHRIST MAKE STORY A *********** GAMEPLAY FEATURE! TAKE YOUR GOD DAM VISION AND MAKE IT FUNCTIONAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2) does not drop correct loot (equal loot to sm8 mode)
this is akin to the bug ravagers and tos had after fixing the exploit bug.

I was curious if there are any active 16 man progression (Hm/NiM Df, Hm DP) that are active on the imperial side...

I think what would be more effective is a second skill where you can barrier another player, they are 3second locked then get the option to break bubble they regan in the bubble but can't action. this would give desirable utility in pve and I'm pretty sure pvp and it gives a facet that doesn't have to be increased speed healing to counter the smug.
I think it should be a sage ability that way dps have the option so they are also more pvp viable.
if not I think the reduced healing inside the bubble would be good and it should be 50% force burn with full ability output IMO

I'd say Abeloth would be the strongest so far, based on the books that are out so far, with Luke not so far behind. That may change as the final two come out though.
i would venture to say abeloth is more like a force enitity than a force user, and it also is akin to darth nihilius who uses a technique that ascends his powers but also weakens the user and creates an unstable product.
my point being that if luke (or any elite force user) tapped into a forbidden art or power source he could reach at or beyond what abeloth has done. I think a more vaulable assessment tool of force adaptiude is being able to accomplish force feats while in a normative state.

It is never really clear how strong Starkiller is. the Emperor believed he had the potential to be stronger than himself so if at the end of Force Unleashed 2 *SPOILER* it is unclear whether he really is a clone or not. If he isnt a clone he could have reached his full potential.
Read is Wookiepedia page it is CANNON that Starkiller had the potential to become one of the strongest if not strongest force users in history.
keep in mind he was desperate to find an apprentice due to vader's failure, but ultimately the force potential thing is a wash once you reach the levels of the elite. in other words the potential for say mara jade to be equal with luke skywalker is reasonable, its the resulting actions of the character that determine if they become yoda or yaddie.

In my opinion Starkiller would beat Yoda hands down, Yoda couldn't even finish Dooku........or atleast had problems with Dooku.
the thing about yoda was he wasn't about finishing his opponent, aside from a plot device, he was more about measuring a situation and figuring out how to proceed with other players in the mix.

Perfectly valid opinion. I disagree, but it's probably just because that moment holds a special place for me. It just felt like a punch in the face. The "No!" sounds dubbed in, cheesy, and weak (again, just my opinion).
Personally, I wish Lucas would just remake episodes 4, 5, and 6. Now, before everyone comes after me with Force FX lightsabers, I want him to remake them so he can have films that match up perfectly to the prequels... thereby leaving the films I grew up with alone. A remake doesn't replace the original. I still have the original Clash of the Titans, the original Fright Night, and the original Conan the Barbarian, even though there were remakes.
But what Lucas is doing is far worse than a remake. He's erasing the movie I love. He's replacing it with something I don't like and making the one I love unavailable. I just think that's a shame.
If the originals aren't the movies he "always wanted to make" then he should make those movies and leave the originals alone.
I find it ironic that he's doing this when he stood so strongly against colorization because he said it defaced the art of the original.
I honestly hope the next star wars flims are set in an era outside 1-6. SW definitely needs to evolve, cinema imo as well, and i would love to see it bring campie into a viable viewing experience again. The option of physcologically dizzying or out and out pull you into tramua to mainfest an experience have taken the magic out of movies, and what made SW 4-6 so profound was that it made happily ever after acceptable at every level for people. The era is set for it, 1979 american morale and cinema feeding off paranoia, hopeless, and decay.... 2012 much the same.

The hate is because he doesn't care about something great and cheapens it any chance he gets just to make a buck.
a lot of it is a fit of narcassium where he needs to establish that it is his art, if you watch any of the documentaries on lucas or starwars, it clearly establishes his need for autonomy with his work which he is willing to go to any lengths to establish (see the cause and affect of using the famous opening craw) and his personal feelings over being george "starwars" Lucas rather than just george lucas.
Like all great producers of human achievement he is eccentric, and usually by the time they hit that twilight stage of life things get messy and erract. I honestly think he is remaking the film and producing star wars products at this stage out of a want for continued expression rather than just making a buck. (and hopefully thats the case).

I think for most OT fans its just another knife to the back, via their prespective of course. For this generation of fan post OT lucas has been such let down on so many levels that each adjustment or even product lucas puts out just metaphorical kicks the man while he is down. The whole process is akin to idol you've say modelled aspects of your life after going down a self destructive pathway (drug, mental breakdown, etc..) and watching each detail unfold.
