  1. This really grinds my gears the most, beyond anything else. I haven't really played SWTOR much since release. I got up to 27 on a Consular in Tatooine, and most of my play time was during launch. I only played for a few weeks then took a break. Every few months or so, I resub on a whim and decide to check out anything new, updates, population and so on, or just to see if anything sparks my interest again. Every time, I rifle through my bags and check out all the robes I've earned during my play through, and ALL the robes still have the "Victorian Era Dress" problem. It's beyond stupid, really damn stupid that this bug still exists. Honestly why in the name of everything is this bug still present. Is this not something that affects everyone, does it only affect a small percentage of players? Half the armor in the game I can't wear for this specific reason.
  2. I skipped Nar Shaddaa entirely. I did all the quests on Taris (Consular), then just went around doing the class quest on Nar Shaddaa and none of the side quests. Went straight to Tattooine. It was set up too much like Coruscant for me to be interested, plus everything was green to me.
  3. They have a bazillion emotes, and a bazillion chairs/stools/benches/booths in dozens of Cantinas. Yet no sit animation in a single of them. Yet you can sit by yourself in solitary confinement, aka your ship. Reminds me of the EVE "Incarceration" (aka Incarna) expansion. Hybrid social interaction is frowned upon.
  4. There is something.... seriously wrong with the armor in this game. Most of it is off, and a lot of the gear is identical (slightly different hues). I dislike how there are different planets, with differing atmospheres and landscapes, but there is no difference in the gear that drops. For instance, I'd love to see 'Desert Themed' armor dropping in Tatooine; desert scarfs, dusty cloth, that sort of thing. Coruscant, high-society styling, aesthetically pleasing attire. Nar Shadda, darker, moodier tones, eccentric or thuggish attire, etc. etc. Haven't been to Hoth yet, but I doubt there is any difference there either, probably nothing to suggest you're on a sub-zero planet. I'd love to go to the Fleet and see someone in 'arctic gear' and say, "That Jedi spends some time in Hoth." Such a missed opportunity. Most of the stuff takes on a cult-like creepy appearance, especially the vendor sets. It's just weird, and off-putting. The robes from the PVP Vendors look attire for some sort of sacrificial cult.
  5. No thank you. This isn't Asheron's Call, hitting "cap" isn't the bee's knees.
  6. This is why players should be able to queue for the game of their choice. Huttball is neat, but it requires a different kind of strategy than the others. Also, I can't stand the Attack/Defend doors mission, I think it's horrendous and boring. I wish I could just queue for turrets and Huttball at my own choosing.. If you could choose queue, you would get more people that know how to play Huttball, in my opinion.
  7. Just gotta jump into it. Approach someone and greet them. Had someone approach me while I was shopping for stims, and we had a long and interesting RP convo. Be the change you seek, it's contagious. "RP Events" and "RP Centers" never really worked that well, and it's just so easy to RP in the Star Wars universe. Everyone has seen the movies at the very least, and it's from the 70's, so the "universe" has been learned quite well over the years. It's not like other games, with new lore, and no background to feel comfortable with. Everyone can feel comfortable RPin' in Star Wars, it's established and simple. Not everything has to be a dense nerdy exposition either.
  8. Shakespeare also said 'Brevity is the soul of wit.'
  9. RP servers are -always- what remains of a dying game. RPer's are consistently the most die-hard loyal gamers to any MMO game in the market. I was surprised there is only 1 per region, 2 for the US, and I think (3?) for EU. Especially considering Star Wars is a VERY established IP from the freakin 70's, it's very easy to roleplay, and it's considerably less "embarrassing" as such. So in my opinion, people are more comfortable and far more willing to RP in Star Wars than they would in any other game of the same genre. There should have been at least 2 per region, in my humble opinion. I'll get over the queues, they'll subside, and I'm not really "upset", I just think it's a touch bit silly.
  10. I was looking forward to rolling on RP-PVP East Coast. There are only two US RP-PVP servers, West Coast and East. East is completely full with a waiting queue. So now I'm not so sure.
  11. Then promptly move every single thread about Early Access to the Early Access sub-forum. 250+ pages before the second day starts, are we being totally serious people? Also, needs moar Technical Discussion sub-forum.
  12. I was never a big fan of Star Wars, but anyone who watches the original trilogy, well they enjoy it, and enjoy them I did. The prequels... well, I could never get why I didn't like the prequels so much. They never grabbed my attention, and I never had the urge to watch them again. To my amazement, I found out why it just felt like something wasn't right, and this man tells me why: http://redlettermedia.com/plinkett/star-wars/star-wars-episode-1-the-phantom-menace/ Very, very highly recommended watch. Entertaining to boot.
  13. I'd get rid of the prequels altogether. Or I'd go back and have someone aside from Lucas do it.
