Thank you! Both of you! Some positive feedback. You're both dead on with this issue! This is my point! Just because you want to do something, does not give you the right to do it, especially when it treads all over everyone else's right to NOT have you do it! And there are TONS of other servers where these people can go and enjoy themselves and have all the goofy-name fun they want! Why do they have to come into our servers and force their fun down our throats? To all of you that have been telling me that it isn't going to happen, that it isn't worth policing, that we just have to "Suck it up, Buttercup", WHY? Why are we letting these buffoons stomp all over our fun? Why are we putting up with these people when their only reason for joining our RP servers is SPECIFICALLY to ruin our fun? If it's not worth policing, if it's not worth sticking up for, then why is it even worth having RP servers in the first place? Dear BioWare/EA: If you are not going to enforce naming conventions on your RP servers, then please, do us all a favor and drop the pretence of RP servers. Make them all just plain old PVE or PVP. Dear Bioware: First, let me say Thank You for making such a beautiful game! You have really outdone yourselves! I am thoroughly enjoying my experience thus far. There is an issue that I would like to bring to your attention. There are two kinds of gamers in the world: The ones who want to go into a game and have their fun and do whatever they like, with no regard for their fellow players, And the ones who want to immerse themselves in the richly created world that you have provided for us. For this reason, there are two categories of servers available: non-Role Playing, and Role Playing. Those of us who want to immerse ourselves in your world prefer to play on Role Playing (RP) servers, in an attempt to avoid the random people who do not respect other people's gaming experience. These people will claim, "It's an RP !!PVP!! server! That means it's a mixture of role players and people who just want to PVP!" I submit to you that this is wrong. PVE and PVP describe the interactions between the world and the players, and the players and the players. They are gameplay descriptors within the server type (RP, non-RP) descriptors. We roleplayers would like to enjoy our gaming experience without the presence of such names as "Obi-I-Wanna-Cannoli" and "Darth'Kaka" and the myriad of other goofy names that crop up in these games. These people can just as easily have their fun in the non-RP servers, while those of us that want the full experience have no way of avoiding them when they invade our servers. I ask that you begin to enforce naming conventions for RP servers to allow us to enjoy our time in your game. We pay just as much money to play our game as these people pay to play theirs.
