  1. Yeah I really like the current gear system because I don't have the time to play this game all day every day, and the current system allows me to play whatever content I want. This new system will pretty much just ensure I don't play past the new story content.
  2. No worries, take your time. I'm excited for it to be released!
  3. Seriously, I felt really depressed by the end of this story. I didn't get too emotional during KotFE, but this expansion had me really feeling sorry for Vaylin, especially when you face Valkorion in your mindscape, and Arcann and Senya really pulled at my heartstrings in the beginning, and the end when you have to make the choice between saving Vette and Torian really tore me apart. Both were companions I really enjoyed in the past. I haven't really gone through the story much since the expansion dropped, but just wanted to know what you all thought.
  4. Why can't you raid with the current system? I've done plenty of raids in the gear I have so far. Group finder exists for a reason
  5. I didn't even know anyone had that many credits. Probably just someone being an a-hole on the GTN.
  6. I've been playing veteran with a mix of 216 and 220 gear and have been getting through. I've died a lot, but you just have to think outside the box, and use every tool in your arsenal, (CC's, Heroic Moment, Unity, medpacs, stims) but it is totally possible to do. Just keep trying!
  7. I jumped into this expansion last night after work and was blown away. I've only played a couple of chapters, but I am loving the new veteran difficulty, and that first chapter was awesome! Bioware really pulled out all the stops for this expansion, and it's showing. I'm really excited to finish the story and jump into Galactic Command. I was really worried about the class changes at first, but so far, the changes with my main character (assassin tank), have been really minor. The only power I am really missing is Crushing Darkness, but I'm not really sad that it's gone. Just my two cents on this expansion anyway, to help try and clear up some of the doom and gloom. I think Bioware did really good this time.
  8. I'm just going to jump right into the story and play like I normally do. I've never understood the race to get ranks and the best gear in video games lol. I just play for fun. Success in video games is... worthless outside of the game.
  9. I just genuinely enjoy every aspect of the game. I started playing around the end of 2012 and have subscribed off and on since then when I have the time and desire to play. I mostly play for the story and flashpoints, but I jump in operations once in a while, and I do quite a bit of PVP in warzones and in GSF. I even do the PVE space missions on occasion. I leave no portion of the game untouched.
  10. I don't like this story arc as much as I liked the previous ones, but I am interested to see how it ends. However, I am excited to try out Uprisings, and also am excited about the new Dark Vs. Light feature, and the potential for more social interaction because of it. I like that they're putting more focus on group content now. I would have preferred more flashpoints and operations, but Uprisings sound like they'll be really cool, and I enjoy fighting world bosses too, so hopefully things will turn out for the best.
  11. Yeah he only ever had one email tied to the account, and we checked his spam and trash folders. I just hesitate to send a ticket in game because it doesn't pertain to my account, and I've never gotten a response from an in-game ticket before.
  12. So my brother has been locked out of his account for a while. He went to log in to the game from a different computer, and it said the system did not recognize the system he was using, and forced him to use a one-time password sent to his email, even though he had a security key. There was never an email sent to his account, and I can't seem to find a way to fix this issue for him. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what he should do? I'm just confused as to why this happened because he has a security key assigned to his account
  13. I don't know if I believe that. This game obviously still makes money, otherwise they wouldn't keep adding content to it. EA would have pulled the plug already if it weren't. But something seriously has changed with the way Bioware is doing things with this game. And great is subjective. I think the game is great, even in its current state, and I'm excited to see where this new expansion takes things.
  14. It would be a monumental task. From what I've heard, this game was built on a half-finished modified version of the Hero Engine, so that's why the game's optimization is poor, and a lot of things can't be added to the game like 32 man raids, large open world PVP battles, etc. They're extremely limited in what they can do
  15. We actually did used to have something like that when the game first came out on Ilum. However, when more than like 20 people would get to fighting in open world PVP on Ilum, the game would lag so much, and peoples' computers would crash. The game's engine can't handle fights on that scale.
  16. I'm not sure what that track is honestly. Since we're on the topic though, I'd like to find that song that plays when you fight the Revanite Walkers in Temple of Sacrifice. It also plays during the Battle of Rishi when you fight that Jedi Master and Sith Lord.
  17. I've been subbed off and on since 2012, and I don't think the game provides enough of a challenge. Boss fights are too easy now, as is the base game itself. Even if they just made all mobs and bosses hit a little harder, that would be huge improvement. My boss fights shouldn't take less than a minute to clear, and I should lose more than 5% health while doing them. Right now the only challenge comes in the form of operations, and hard mode flashpoints.
  18. 1. Day/night cycles and weather cycles added to all planets 2. More PVP Warzones 3. More flashpoints and operations 4. An optional hard mode for story/daily missions for those who want more of a challenge when playing story, and up the credit and item rewards for playing that mode 5. Player bounties PS. I think a lot of the OP's ideas are actually awesome, and implementing some of these would go a long way in livening up the game a bit, especially the galactic news type events, his ideas for open world PVP, and the class specific dailies!
  19. Just go pop a music token back in the jukebox and that'll fix it. Personally, I say good riddance.
  20. So I've been playing one of my alts, and noticed when I reached some of the old story mode flashpoints, that I can't queue for them in tacticals in group finder until after I've finished them in Solo mode. Is there a way to change this? I personally hate playing through flashpoints in solo mode, and would much rather play them with a group.... the way it's intended to be done.
  21. Back when Ilum PVP was a thing, there were walkers and stuff that you could blow up and shoot rockets at. It was really unbalanced though, and it lagged a lot, so Bioware scrapped it.
  22. I'd just like to see some incentive for open world PVP. Ganking is fun and all, but it would be cool to have something similar to Ilum with more rewards, to bring the game's community together, and to add another layer of fun to the game, especially where the story has become so laughably easy. Most MMO's have open world PVP, so I'm not sure why this one has been hanging back.
  23. I was around when the Grand Acquisitions Race started, but I wasn't max level, so I didn't know I was able to do it yet. So bummed I missed out on that!
  24. I wish they'd bring back Ilum PVP, or something similar.
