  1. The first part of having skill is playing a class that isn't inherently weaker. Skill begins at class selection.
  2. My favorite baddy story is the one about the baddy who made the elitist "funny baddy stories" thread on the swtor.com forums as though that kind of thread is actually not just an example of why this community is so awful.
  3. Seriously though unless they want to make every single companion a healing companion, they shouldn't even give us more than one.
  4. This quest is a textbook example of something that would be fun if there was a tactics system for companions or if healing companions weren't completely *********** overvalued, thus baiting anyone who uses a different one into death by roleplay. As it is this is just *********** stupid.
  5. who cares if mara/sent is effective? It isn't fun. MMO balance is built around having classes that are equally fun. Classes that can vanish three times, roll around the map faster than sonic the *********** hedgehog, use a million knockbacks or lockdown someone so hard that even after all of their defensive CDs fall off they die from the 12 dots that are still rolling for the next 30 seconds on them are fun classes. A class with no mobility that becomes the primary CC target because it performs well against target dummies is not a fun class.
  6. Just chased a smuggler around for like thirty seconds as he rolled his way infinitely across the map until he was out of combat and stealthed. I'm *********** done with this ****** game, take your terrible pvp and shove it up your stupid *********** ***.
  7. So they have a way to heal all the real classes on your team, a way to speedboost all the real classes on your team, a way to boost all the real classes' damage, a defensive cooldown to use to not die while you provide those buffs, a couple things that assassins have but with knockbacks on top of it and then gap closers that are contingent upon other players' positions instead of being usable on command and controllable. Why don't you give me a reason to believe you aren't trolling?
  8. And "becoming a better player" obviously means never ever ever ever ever using your unleash unless it's on a flashbang even if you're fighting other players because you'll just be setting yourself up for an eventual 10 second cc you noob, because you only have one unleash and you need to make sure you're always fighting the snipers who aren't even there. Also, seriously? Are you saying each class having a hard counter is good pvp design?
  9. This doesn't "deal with" the sniper and in any kind of objective based pvp he doesn't HAVE to get up and move, he can just sit right where he is and continue beating you.
  10. yep, the supidest thing you can do is play sentinel. If you want to be a sentinel, sit in the back and try not to get in the way of the real classes.
  11. Oh man, sick burn you sure showed me. you've made a very compelling point causing me to re-evaluate my entire experience with juggernauts marauders and assassins and I have since realized that the entire time that I thought I wasn't having fun, I actually was! Seriously though answer the question.
  12. What does either the juggernaut or the marauder bring to pvp that an assassin doesn't bring better?
  13. If you want content, take it off. If you hate content, leave it on and be amazed at your complete lack of sidequests
  14. Failing that can we at least have it so that if one class can obtain a datacron on its own, all classes can obtain said datacron on its own? This is the kind of fun-ruining class balance that can make people feel like they've picked the objectively wrong class 40 levels into it.
  15. I would like to request that all datacrons that take a group be made obtainable by a single person because this game has a terrible community and I should not be forced to play with these *********** animals under any circumstance. Please ignore all posts that disagree with this sentiment as they will only be proving me right.
  16. Considering it's based on the British empire of the 19th and 20th centuries you may as well ask how anyone took that seriously.
  17. I think some star wars flavor minigames would spice the game up a lot. Considering the on-rail flight missions, I feel like that kind of engine could be modified for swoop race tracks and stuff? Could possibly even have competitive swoop races. Pazzak would give the opportunity to sell pazzak cards in the cartel shop.
  18. Mostly I'm embarassed by the fact that putting a hood on makes my character go bald. I would be much happier about being forced to wear a hood if the hood didn't modify my character's physical appearance. Furthermore, lekku can go over the shoulder. A twi'lek is capable of wearing a hood. I've seen screenshots of it in star wars galaxies!
  19. This is your best bet. Between all the deluded biodrones who think the class is fine and the buggy game mechanics that cause a lot of the problems in the first place, play anything besides a knight and you'll be much happier.
  20. Actually, there's nothing wrong with the class except you because you fail to recognize even the most basic of imbalances. If you had the slightest inkling how the class works you would know why you're wrong. If anyone needs to learn the class, it's the people saying that it's fine.
  21. A man in a wheelchair with a rocket launcher can make a big explosion once, then he's as weak as any other cripple.
  22. I'm guessing the person who made this video came every time he got a crit over 6k, so he recorded it under the impression we would do the same. That's the only reason we would have slowdown/zoom-ins on large numbers in piles of people instead of footage of things requiring skill.
  23. Obi-wan's mastery of the soresu form clearly means he's a Jedi Knight.
  24. Playing the class to the best of its ability is still gimped because the class is, at its best, gimped. No mobility, poor resource management, no cc, limited defensive capability, our snare break works as a "stealth" which means if you use it while holding the huttball you lose it. But it's cool, under the right circumstances when the wind is blowing from the east and the force is strong with you that day and your buffs are all stacked properly and everything procs, you can hit for 7k. There's about a million crit money shot videos cleverly disguised as "pvp" videos proving this, the one linked in this thread being no exception. Just because a guy in a wheelchair with a rocket launcher can cause a big explosion periodically doesn't mean he's somehow not crippled like a person who isn't in a wheelchair. But clearly we're just fine.
