  1. Initially I read TOFN re-roller... and I was thinking "OMGOMG Finally a thread about those silly and cheap re-rollers, rolling in TOFN and not even being bothered to buy the recruit PVP gear". :p Problem is serious though... Re-rollers cant even be asked to pay for the recruit gear and enter WZs with their orange/blue gears.
  2. Nah... we are here being sustained by the delicious and super tasty sorc/sage tears. Good job BW. keep up the good work in balancing the heal classes. Btw, ops and mercs still need the one aoe ability we can spam and fill 1/3 to 1/2 of the whole raid's health bars in the middle of the fight and while hiding behind a pillar.
  3. To OP: When writing "PVP", do you mean Player vs Punctuation ? Dude, some full stops and spaces please Awesome idea btw
  4. L2P or perhaps progress content in a more reasonable pace? People were complaining content is too easy... perhaps it was to easy if only 2-3 specific classes participated. As for the ground AOE I usually put it in the middle between the melees and me, and I move a bit closer so we can both benefit... range classes know this and they follow or set their tents in front of me... I am saying it again... you have it too easy... Even after the 1.2 changes you continue taking so many things for granted i.e. that the healer should be 30 m from the tank... what about the operative with an AOE based on proximity? Should he be moving back and forth so he can AOE heal melees and range every 15 sec ? What you are saying doesn't make sense. Stop complaining ... sorc is still the most efficient healer. The only difference is that now you have to pay attention to "banal" mechanics such as mana and plan the tank's burst damage if its CDs are down through bubbling and not a 1.5 sec mega splash heal on 100% occurrence.
  5. Mainly in ops (and less in 4mans) I consume just before my AOE, or rely on the warrior's crit or another healer's AOE. Its a team game, learn to coordinate with others Stop complaining.. As an operative healer who switched to sorcerer for PVE, the class in 1.2 is just reasonable. No more easy mode semi afk healing. I enjoy the PVE much more now. The PVP is a mess I agree... that healing burst will be missed. But, its time for sorcs to learn proper PVP healing instead of sitting in a corner and spamming consumption and AOE.
  6. I am in a similar position (only a couple of levels lower) So far, I ve tracked the following relevant points in the 1.2 patch notes PvP vendors no longer sell Champion Bags. ..and thats it basically  So, you will not be able to buy the chamption bag after 1.2. But, if my memory serves me well, I read somewhere that we ll be able to by directly champion commendations, which will be slightly more expensive from bags (around 5-10% tops). I am not entirely sure though.
  7. I think in his hybrid spec he delivered more dps than the pure dps... so there is not much he could have done to help his (bad) team.
  8. Then perhaps there are better games for you. That is, if you are saying that you like this game because of a very short story line of your first companion, some random clicky click cliché dialogs and a storyline. Most modern MMORPGs nowadays offer storylines.
  9. Todays gamers take grinding as an accomplishment. Its something that has dominated even within the FPS community (both players and devs/publishers) with the introduction of "RPG" elements as they like to say it, such us levels, upgradable gear etc. If we want to start with the "back in the day" stories, we can go back in the day where it was enough to kill your friends again and again and again and again in 5 to 10 mins matches with everybody having access to the same basic gear, in home / student halls / computer labs / internet cafes LAN parties. So stop blaming the new generation of gamers as lasy for not wanting to grind. Because the concept of grind in games the "MMORPGisation" of even FPS games was introduced by a generation of players who thought they could replace skill with time. It is not a coincidence that when online gaming became a product and was monetised through the transition of from LAN parties to MMOs, the then younger generation demanded gaming to be less skill focused and more grinding oriented... after all they had more time to play from the older players who gradually finished school/college/uni... Now its your turn to sit in the corner as for once, the generation of gamers who pay your bills define the content. Gaming is a very mainstream multi-billion business. Filthy casuals rule. If you don't like find another game... but then don't blame the devs for bugs. They probably cannot earn their paycheck if only 100 ppl subscribe.
  10. Τhe victory goes to those who have achieved the more objectives by the time the game is terminated. So if team A wins by 2-0 and after 5 mins some of them quit hence starting the sequence without being replaced (in low pop servers at odd hours) those of Team A who remained could win the game. In most games that wouldn't make sense... but imagine a team who struggled to go to the third room in VS seeing their opponents roflstomping them in the first 10sec... I don't think the OP was describing a scenario like that, but it could happen. It doesn't make sense....but it could happen for the "lolz".
  11. Which we achieve by exploiting a game mechanic... (how is it possible to get 75k healing without a 2.5k single heal?) eek

The final stage of the first event failed to materialise. You may call it whatever you like, but that is what happened. instances were adjusted to LK level in 1.2, when they introduced the random lfg-feautere. in comparison bioware manages to bug stuff that was fixed, like the boss in cademimu that you can only kill by exploit him It took Plutonous 6 months to get fixed... Needless to say all the shortcuts and paths that shouldn't exist in instances. and tor limits instances to ~100 players. in the end it limits the load 50 < 100 contrary to popular belief, the majority does not roll 3+ alts, especially not in a game where 4 classes can practically do everything. and I rather have a company spend money on more critical features than the first 6 levels you see for 2 hours. Not talking about classes, talking about races. Its unacceptable for a 2011 MMORPG to have all races in the same area. they never did. people "implied" it because a lot of mythic devs went to trion and it uses the same engine. beta hype != fact I remember the "we will add RvR if people ask for it" very well. and wow copied their BGs from fps. there's only so much you can do with objective based pvp That is a really immature argument... and FPSs copied from playgrounds? and the industry standard would be...? A Bethesda game... (btw term "standard" in "industry standard" implies fixed point... I don't think there is an MMORPG that has achieved that)
  13. For all of you comparing SWTOR and Rift launch lets remember a couple of stuff about Rift. 1. First world event patch finale (RoS) failed in some EU servers (not sure about US), whole battlegroups went down and we were compensated with 2p and 18-20? slot bag 2. Instances were bugged and their difficulty was constantly adjusted. It took them months to fix exploited instances with glitches 3. Cap in 50 rendered players in the map. Its really easy to fix a stable graphics machine if you can only see 49 ppl around you 4. All starting areas the same with all the quests equal. Really? For a 2011 MMORPG having all races starting at the same point? 5. Betrayal of the RvR heavily anticipated feature... in the end devs said "we never promised anything". 6. 2.5 out of 4 WZs direct copies from WoW 7. C-L-A-S-S I-M-B-A-L-A-N-C-E and FOTMing And these are all related issues to the launch. Rift had definately a more stable launch than SWTOR, but not an industry standard by far. And the fact that they didn't have so many problems can be attributed to certain shortcuts they took and also to a much less demanding and smaller community. Btw if you think that SWTOR PVP forum is full of QQers you should have a look at Rift's PVP forum with constant cries for nerf/boost due to Trion's insane attitude in stimulating interest through FOTM, lack of world PVP and faction imbalances (due to free guild server transfers) and annoying BGs. Pretty much the same stuff

    overqueue exploit

Definately not an exploit... it works as intended 10+ vs 8 in a WZ... Great thinking there
  15. Τhey should make it harder but also increase rewards. Like 3 consecutive wins. That will have people focusing instead of merrily hopping all over the place.
