  1. First of all, mad props to whoever decided to give ironman blasting animations to PTs back in SoR aswell as anyone and everyone behind every pinwheel Shadow/Assassin move. Anyway, so whenever you guys start working new abilities for the next expansion (sometime next year I assume?), could you please consider having whatever you add to the Sorcerer/Consular and Powertech somehow incorporate their mainhand weapon? Pretty please? I'd love to see my heavy force user actually use her lightsaber, be it for offense or defense, at some point.. Even if its something exclusive to a discipline, it would just be cool to see. And while my Vanguard is currently being a hardcore son of a hutt firing plasma shells at people at close range with her rifle (something made all the sweeter after getting some blaster rifles that resembles shotguns! :3), my PT is left having virtually no use for all the cool guns I have been collecting... And as neat as it is to pretend that you're Ironman in a galaxy far far away, my triggerfinger has been getting awfully itchy since Unload went away. ... Not to mention that Kaliyo chick has been giving me the stinkeye for stealing her thunder as the most violent person around. Not to mention my clients are getting quite ornery at the fact that every tool at my disposal these days are almost exclusively tailored for Disintegrations only. While Fire, Explosions, and Plasma are all essential ingredients for happyfuntimes, its a terrible hassle whenever a bounty requires visual confirmation of a kill.
  2. I always thought the "unique style" was that it was supposed to be more of a midrange fighter like the operative than a pure melee.. Hence why they actually used guns. Guess that wasnt the idea after all. That said, i've never seen or bothered myself with using that rocket for anything other than pulling mobs and the railshot nerf doesnt really bother me from a mechanical standpoint.. I'm usually most comfy at around 10-15m anyway. All this is to me is a nerf to the coolness factor of the class. Gameplay wise it hardly changes anything. Then again, i'd honestly rather underperform while feeling like a ******, than be super powerful yet kinda bland. (I'm still so incredibly sad that they nerfed my Consular's wubwub frequency rather than the dmg it did... :<) As for the sorc stuff.. Havent cared for madness since they removed hybrid specs anyway, and the healing stuff seems fine.. Just a filthy casual, but from my experience it does feel alot easier to never have to worry about resources on my sorc compared to my Op or Merc, so increasing costs makes sense to me.
  3. This would be a nice quality of life thing as i often forget how many credits i have on my 3 pages of characters.. But ultimately just a quality of life thing. It would be a nice implementation if some dev got the extra time to tinker with stuff, but nothing i'd consider high priority and certainly not worth petitioning for. I feel like even if it was worth spending time on, it could be handled much more simply than reworking how legacy storage works by just making a sort of credit chip item akin to the Warzone commendation voucher items that lets you buy and sell the token for the same price, then store it in your legacy bank that way. 3 tokens, 10k 100k and 1mil, done. No need to rework something that functions perfectly fine as is, and no risk of accidentally breaking it in the process either, causing people to potentially lose stuff they've stored there as the code gets rewritten.
  4. Its the voice... Everything else is basically just him being a replacement Malgus. I mean, everything he does is essentially in line with Malgus' view of how the Empire should be and why he rebelled. Its like after getting him axed, they realised that his empire was actually a way more interesting one than Vitiate's "muahaha evuhl twirling of mustaches!" empire, then proceeded to continue the story as if Malgus had won but now wore all red.
  5. I get the feeling she is gonna catch a case of sudden and unexpected death for the sake of plot twist. Might even be by her own hand... Exploding like the Inquisitor from channeling too much power with too little control. As a sidenote, is it just me or does Arcann come off as like a Malak lite?
  6. Yeah she is basically your own personal Harley Quinn... Only she has no charm and the warrior has no humor.
  7. I dont get what the big fuss is about 4X/Pierce.. Qyzen and Lokin are infinitely more annoying to grind, with Lokin even requiring you to be online at certain dates. I dont PvP on most of my alts, but i'll gladly do the pvp daily every once in a while to eventually grab him and the pvp relics. But doing loops on Hoth and moneysinking millions of credits into biochem mats only to be forced into the rak'ghoul event on 20+ chars? Odds of that happening is approximately three thousand seven hundred and twenty to one.
  8. Some way to adjust the frequency or simply toggle it on and off would definitely be appreciated. But thats been on the wishlist forever. Some companions are just more intrusive than others. Its one thing to hear Vette go "Boom!", its another to hear Lana go "Challenge accepted and met". The longer the sentence, the more tiresome it gets to hear over and over and over and over and over and over again.
  9. Definitely feel that more than anything, its not a lack of defensive tools, but rather everyone else's ability to negate those tools thats the issue. The root on rocket punch hardly ever works (not in the buggy sense, but rather its usually instantly negated). The overrides are usually only good for avoiding the last tick of a ravage and thats about it. Works decently against marauders, but they've got their own problems. The knockback VERY rarely does anything effectual against any target you'd want to use it against. I dont even bother with the concussion missile for defensive purposes, too slow, unreliable, and with a long CD.. Only good for offense when you dont want someone to help the guy you're trying to kill. The net is just... For all the things that 1 ability is meant to cover, it should not be as easily negated as it is. Its about as important as a charge, only its about as effective as something like force leap would be if it had three times the cooldown and every ranged had the sniper's cover mechanic. The shield, kolto overload, and selfhealing really is fine.. Its all the little things. (Like the overrides only granting slightly more movement speed than most melee these days have passively through utilities, so they can generally just run after you and keep up perfectly fine for the majority of its duration without having to expend any form of gap closers of their own)
  10. Cultural gear would be sweet. The cathar, manaan, and gree stuff is already among my favourite weapons in the game. I dont even know what Rattataki stuff would look like, but i'd love to find out! Maybe dedicate a pack to cultural exchange? Call it Ambassador's pack or something and load it with Bith, Twi'lek, Togruta, Rattataki, Nautolan, etc outfits, emotes, vehicles and so on.
  11. Either a toilet, shower, or sink. Really, anything to cover basic hygiene... I mean, there is a reason why the ship droids keep commenting on how they've cleaned the ship every single time you get onboard. They kinda have to in this hyper advanced space civilization which seems to never have developed any kind of sewer systems. (Maybe because everytime they try, even if on a space station, wierd tentacle monsters seem to spawn in them) Or maybe its just because these things are made with GREE TECHNOLOGY which nobody has a clue how it works. Wasnt there a quest hinting at that on Coruscant? So maybe we do have hygiene items, they just look nothing like what we'd expect... Maybe holocrons store more than just our data.
  12. The flirting dialogue in Inquisition was the best thing... xD Definitely think that even if the people our chars flirt with arent interested, it should be up to the player if their char is. I mean, I'd have my sorc hit on Khem just to see how he'd react if it was an option.
  13. Huttball is great. Its the WZ where i can feel really powerful as an IO merc. Sure I cant carry the ball, but I feel like I was made for burning down whoever is..
  14. Could always get rid of the solo ranked which nobody plays then in favor of unranked arenas only. See if that sees any action. I doubt it, though. And yet again, the positive mentioned on arenas is "its a quicker way of getting the dailies over with". And i'f rather way 5-10more min checking the gtn and crafting than get ripped out of the queue to run around in circles looking for a stealther sitting in some random corner trying to drag out the clock, then having to requeue. Honestly i'd rather DC and miss a pop than get an arena pop when queueing for unranked. At best its a waste of time "that gets the daily out of the way quicker", at worst its a downright frustrating mess.
  15. That would be wonderful. As much as I miss huttball, not having to stomach those random arenas resetting my queue have really gotten me back into PvPing these last couple of days. Please dont turn them back on BW. They're not fun. Only positive i've ever seen or heard anyone say about them is from people who doesnt like PvP doing conquests and such, commenting on how they're generally over quickly. When the only positive is the same thing you could say about getting a shot at the doctor's office, its really not a positive experience.
  16. A jawa or droid that chases your char with a cattle prod like device while you run away from it really fast! Idle animation could be the jawa/droid fixing their shocking device while the player character catches their breath! Backflips or cartwheeling! "mounting" animation just being the character getting into position! Really should put in a hoverboard by Oktober as a tribute to having finally reached the date from Back to the Future 2! (As a sidenote, also need a holographic shark decoration that bites the player when activated.)
  17. For my BHs i'd get rid of Skadge.. While I actually do kinda enjoy having Bebop and Rocksteady's lovechild around, he just doesnt fit. Think he would have been much more interesting as the ch1 rival than as a companion. For my Inquisitors i'd honestly kinda wanna ditch everyone but Andronikus. Well maybe Khem can stay for my Sin. For my Warriors i'd get rid of Broonmark. I dont really care for feeling like i'm charlie brown whenever i speak to my companions. For my Agents i'd get rid of the creepy fembot. Was fun for the Heavy Metal reference.. Dont really care for it beyond that. For my Consulars i'd get rid of Zenith.. Jerkface. For my Troopers i'd get rid of whatever his name was.. Meltyface. For my Knights i'd get rid of Rusk. Because ZzzzzZZzzz. And lastly for my Smugglers i'd get rid of Akaavi. Because Mandalorians are such gosh darn attention craving hipsters... In all honesty, though.. To me its kinda more of a question of who I would even want to keep, as for most chars I kinda either wanna get rid of, or am indifferent about the majority of the comps. Only comps i'd really care about keeping are Kira, Blizz, Temple, Andronikus, Mako, Vette, and Liberty Prime.
  18. There are far far more bad DPS than bad healers and tanks. Mainly because bad healers and tanks either get better, stop PvPing, or switch to being bad DPS. Most Tanks and Healers in PvP are either new or mediocre at worst. Not because choosing those roles somehow magically makes them more skilled, but because doing badly as either of those roles are infinitely more painful (and in turn obvious when you are) compared to being a bad DPS. Bad healers have to live with the knowledge that even if its just one person, they're likely going to harrassed the entire game, every game. And tanks get virtually no feedback in terms of how well they're doing untill the end of a match, they seriously just run around whacking people with a wet noodle while screaming insults at them.. Tanking is pretty much purely rewarded through the satisfaction of knowing you helped the team in the end. A mentality you rarely find in people who doesnt improve. Atleast as a DPS, no matter how bad you are, you can always fire some big crits into someone's face and feel good about it... even if you arent doing anything to really help the team win. Ask pretty much any tank or healer in PvP what they do when they get frustrated and just wanna vent, and they'll either say they stop PvPing and do something else, or switch to DPS for a while and just lol about because even if the games they're getting are still terrible, atleast they get to pewpew a little. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who mains as a DPS in PvP who will tell you that they like switching to their healer or tank and just lol about when they get frustrated in WZs. You might find a couple who says they do it when they get frustrated over never getting any heals or because someone has to do it.. But I doubt you'll find many who are gonna tell you they do it for the casual nature of it. Another thing to add is that healing is such a support based role that the difficulty of playing them is actually tied closer to the skill of the DPS they're fighting with, rather than against. By that, i mean that good DPS can make it easy for even the most terrible of healers to do his job (as the good DPS wont need as much support), while even the best healer in the world will find himself constantly struggling if the DPS are bad.. Essentially a healer isnt fighting the strength of the enemy, they're fighting to make up for the mistakes of their allies. And tanks got it even worse.. They're pretty much entirely reliant on the competence of BOTH the healers and DPS as their whole gimmick is delay. Delay untill the DPS can kill the opponents. Delay untill the healers can top off the team. They can do neither of those things on their own and are purely there to make the jobs of their teammates easier.
  19. Yup! Most of my moments of "I really need to take a break from this game.." has stemmed from that exact situation. Nothing worse than having to charge past the melee on a Merc because they're either too timid or tunnelvisioned to chase after and finish the opponents' 1 healer whenever he casually backs down the hill on Novarre. If there is one thing PvP in this game is suffering from badly, its timid melee. But i'm not without sympathy.. The medal system does kinda favor a more restrained playstyle. Which I suppose is born from not wanting to reward tunnelvisioning people for getting lured away from objectives in order to chase kills... So not sure how to properly promote aggressive play without hurting objective focus. Aside from perhaps lowering the respawn times in Alderaan, Hypergate, and Novarre so people can stop being so damn scared of dying.
  20. Guess you've either not played WoW or Blizz have really pulled themselves together. Because I remember when Alterac Valley could literally last the entire week. WSG turtle matches that lasted indefinitely, then they introduced a debuff, then they made the debuff worse, then worse.. And if memory serves me right, they eventually had to put a 45min timer on it. Arena matches dragging on for just as long with resto druid+SL/SL warlocks doing no damage to eachother whatsoever, and more. This game can certainly have some really dry matches.. But to say its the only one or the worst is a gross exaggeration. While i'll concede that PvP has gotten more stale as of late, its still better than anything i've seen in the limited scope of MMOs i've tried. (That being WoW, FF11, and DDO..) It IS however not as good as it used to be... Still dont miss the smashmonkey era, though!
  21. Really? Because i'm having the exact opposite experience when matched with and against the many healers vs 1-2 healers setup. The many healers virtually always loses.. Slowly. So if our experience differs completely, it cant be -exactly- the case. But you're right about the first thing. From the looks of things, Burst, CC, Healing, Tanking, and DoTs are ALL too strong. Its like Musco said when SoR was still in beta. "Every time I see these new changes i'm like OOH THAT LOOKS REALLY OVERPOWERED! But since i'm thinking that with all of them, it cant be that bad."
  22. ALL THE TIEM! D: "Right, time for Sith business! Grr!" STOP JUDGING ME, VETTE! ITS A STRONG ATTACK, ALRIGHT?!?!?!
  23. With that said, can we perhaps get the act of consuming string cheese as a regen item? Or is the idea of consuming cheese to become healthier where you draw the line as something being TOO unrealistic for Star Wars?
  24. Good is a point of view, the Empire believes in justice and security as much as the Republic. Evil is just a label we all use for those who threaten us and our way of life. That said, we should all embrace the glorious Hutt Cartel! CAPITALISM, HO!
