  1. Certain conversations only open up after certain points in the story. In general, you have no chance of romancing a companion until after Act III has begun. Finish up Alderaan and start Act II and then you will get a huge slew of conversations
  2. Um, where is the nerf PT/vanguard posts post 2.0? Exactly, nonexistent. Therefor, no balance yet. Sorry. However, operatives are ONLY good at healing against competitve teams, which is sad because I refuse to only play as a healer, though I do heal once in a while if I keep getting into games without healers, and I bought field respec if it is a close game. Juggs, marauders, and snipers are in a pretty good place of balance, with all three specs holding a pretty useful spot in pvp. Assassins I assume are still good for tank hybrid? Idk, my friend only plays his as tank, and obviously infiltration [could be the wrong tree name, i could be using the shadow name] is good now, but madness isn't quite so much. Sorcerer from what I have seen are better healers, and lightning got buffed, but madness is yet again nerfed, though DoTs don't seem to serve any real purpose in pvp anymore anyways, lethality aside. Mercs seem to be able to handle their own in their two own trees, while yet again, the shared tree sort of fails in comparison. Now, this leaves us with PT. I am not sure how well their middle tree is doing [currently leveling up mine now for fun, and because it was the class i made during beta and then i never ended up playing him sadly] and it seems to be doing good in pre-30 WZs, but who knows about later. So, this is to say, that no, this is not a balanced game. TLDR: Far from balanced, sorry brahski
  3. That is not what he means. It is a known bug that if you kill a scoundrel/operative while we use the roll skill we will be unable to move at all afterwards. /stuck does not work, and either does being pulled in any way, we are simply stuck waiting in limbo to MAYBE win the match [never happens to me late enough in the game though], or we have to leave or just wait it out and then get kicked out of the wz
  4. It has been happening since the move was created, and has no fix in the forseeable future probably even though they've had a similar problem before
  5. I would like to see some form of an AoE healing put into the class. Yes, I know annihilation can heal once in a while, but it would be pretty cool to have a tree where using a skill such as smash will deal less damage to enemies around you but heal allies around you, some form where say you still deal full damage if there are no allies but for each ally around you it causes you to deal x% less damage to each enemy but heal for y% or amount and have it on a scale event, and things like force scream able to heal allies it passes through. I think this would be a cool feature because the sith warrior/jedi knights are a class that require you to be in melee range due to the way the resource works, and they have no ability as it stands to act as a healer [while being the ONLY class that CAN'T heal, with smugglers/operatives being the only class that can't tank], that might open up the board for healers if they still have the ability to DPS while offering, not main heals, but worthwhile offheals to a group? Maybe make the other tree similar to how a bard typically works, and give them some sort of extra buff that also creates resource regeneration for allies around them, so that they are a very good support tool that can provide HoTs and PoTs(power over time, MoTs, whatever you wish to call it), and still have damage.
  6. That would actually be really cool to see
  7. I would like to agree that having one guarding a node, except for when that is your only node, is a poor choice in any REAL match. I can not count the amount of times I have been chain stunned JUST right in order to stop me from preventing a ninja cap by 2 people, and nobody came to help in time. I have also seen plenty of times where I have come up on my scoundrel, bursted down the defender so fast, and capped the turret that nobody could show up in time, but if I am trying to ninja a turret and I see 2 defenders, i back off unless I have another stealth with me.
  8. I'll remember to attack you in any pub v pub with my scoundrel now then =] The joys of playing the... well I guess it's the 2nd most UP class now. Nobody expects to see a scrapper come out of nowhere and take away all their health anymore.
  9. I would like to agree that I think carnage and annihilation are both very good specs. I played a carnage marauder since around 20, got sick of bleeds after I get Quinn to heal me instead, and I love bursting people down extremely quickly. I also play a scrapper though, so maybe bursting somebody down is a lot more fun to me than it is to bleed them to death. It is also really fun playing a carnage marauder and just simply wiping the floor with rage/focus specced warrior/knights and then laughing to go kill his buddy too.
  10. See, I was SOMEWHAT okay with you saying they stunlock you down 3/4 of your health, but a mara/sentinel using ONE OF THEIR DEFENSIVE COOLDOWNS to win a fight, yeah that is just petty and low. But honestly, even if you are only going to survive for like 2 seconds longer, stay in the fight, it is bad practice to /stuck, because then you'll end up doing it while solo guarding side turrets, and even .1 second can mean the difference between winning and losing
  11. I would like to actually thank you guys, I went ahead and picked up deception, which was also thanks to a friends recommendation as well, and will probably go check out Darth Bane next, after I get through the set of these. You guys are helpful, shows how a forum SHOULD work, now I am afraid to go back to the pvp forum=]
  12. Also, Vanguards and PT are probably the most UP class at current standings. Lucky merc/mando and op/scoundrel got buffed, but PT got nerfed, and smashers DIDN'T get nerfed (hardly seems fair to me, and mind you op/scoundrel only got a utility buff in terms of roll that everyone wants nerfed as it is]
  13. As a long time fan of star wars, tv shows, movies, and games, and finally finding a bit of free time, summer break of college, I was hoping to find some time to read in the expanded universe, and was looking for some suggestions on some good books to start off reading. I would prefer to start reading away from the main characters of the 6 movies, and would prefer a bit of jedi action to start off, though if there are some really good sith books or smuggler/bounty hunter books I will check them out as well. Thank you in advance
  14. Since nobody has pointed this out yet, the Seethe healing animation is very reminiscent of Darth Maul during episode 1 while Qui'Gon was trapped behind the energy door, waiting to continue the fight, while Obi Wan was waay off. The Jedi Warrior heal is even the same meditate that Qui'Gon does. Now take this one bit of evidence, as well as Darth Maul being, probably, the second most popular sith in Star Wars history [due to the movies being more common, I myself have read very few books, and Revan is my favorite anyhow], being the most popular double bladed lightsaber user, and from what I have personally seen, the second most popular assassin race is ZABRAK, after human [everybody plays humans, I have 2 myself I think], and with all the new f2p players coming in, I don't think we're going to get rid of the seethe ability. I perfer the sith warrior healing ability by at least 20 times over my sorcerers healing ability, but I haven't had MUCH issue outside of PVP healing myself, but I usually heal myself with actual healing abilities to get the medals, but I'm greedy and want to make sure I get 8 medals no matter what
  15. Too bad I only like that armor set and the Thana Vesh armor set, I would like the scouter, but you will see too many sith warriors using it now to shout about power levels and stuff...
  16. QFT. Seriously. Test this, We don't get to ANY NODES at the start of a match to steal the cap from anybody. If your team doesn't send an assassin/shadow to your node in a real game TO BEGIN WITH then that is a huge l2p issue, and that is what you should address. It is simply your fault if you send some class that has no range and no gap closer to the side nodes. OH WAIT! DOESN'T EXIST. I have tried to steal side nodes more than once, and it never works, at most I make it there fast enough to stop them, but then again, so can warrior/knights and consulars/inquisitors. Seems fair to me, but like stated before, they can actually FIGHT once they get there, I just sort of waste all my energy regen skills to fight or autoattack to keep him busy while i wait on backup. And no, we are defending an ability that is keeping us ON PAR in terms of mobility and useful in pvp as EVERY OTHER CLASS. You are just like everyone at launch crying for us to be nerfed because you can't figure out that there are HARD, and when I say hard, i mean hard as a diamond, hard counters to this ability, and it comes at a great GREAT cost to us, unlike force speed. So yeah, if you make roll free, and make it cover the same amount of distance in the same time as force speed, then yeah, take away force speeds CD. Also, take away our being impaired during roll like force speed. I am okay with that. Also, let us roll at both allies and enemies no matter where they are in relationship to us on anything other than the X axis. Totally fine with that buff too. I know you probably don't understand class balance by reading EVERYTHING that you have stated for why this ability needs to be nerfed, despite A TON of us coming in here, both op/scoundrels and non-op/non-scoundrels telling you why this ability needs to be there. Prior to 2.0, my marauder was my favorite character to play in huttball, now they are tied. Ok truthfully, I just recently made both a sorc and sage and that is my favorite, but that is for another reason, when it comes to objectively speaking, my marauder and scoundrel are equal.
  17. Ok, so we don't have a CD on our skill. So what? Leap and force speed are all FREE abilities, not abilities that cost 1/5 of your resource, with one use almost knocking you out of the ideal range of energy recovery. Sith warriors have a 30m FREE leap that gives them their resource so that they can use a slow, and then jugs/guardians have ANOTHER leap. Sorcs simply have force speed, free, with a longer range from 1 force speed than 12m, oh wait a second, did I just throw something truthful out? Yeah, in a short race, the inquisitor/consular will win, trust me, I've tested it. Over time, yeah, scoundrels/op will win a race [we're more cross country than short distance, but that's ok because we can't fight ANYTHING afterwards in cap games/voidstar]. Now, assassins can be COMPLETELY IMMUNE while using force speed, and then simply have a sorc/sage PULL them an extra bit of the way. If anything, this is making the class VIABLE. Yes, I played and won a lot prior to 2.0 on my scoundrel, and I have always played him DPS. I play with friends, one of whom is a shadow and one is a guardian, who both always had to be our ball carrier, and prior to this I just stood in the enemy warzone stealthed to be guardian leaped to, or passed to at the last second. I am glad that I am finally USEFUL in warzones for more than just ninja capping side points, or healer harrassing. If you want to give us a CD on this skill, either GET rid of the energy cost, give us a 25m range, or somewhere in the middle, 10 energy with like a 20m range and maybe, what, a 20s CD? That would make most OP/scoundrel happy because then at least we still have a gap closer, BEING THE ONLY MELEE CLASS WITHOUT ONE
  18. I don't play my marauder much, but isn't there a trait where force camo can REMOVE hostile effects? Using that logic, it might remove electro net, I do not know if that was intended or not, and I haven't tested it [my marauder is only level 47 or so, and I haven't spent much time playing him since 2.0, and IDK what tree that is down anymore] However, that is my thought on why, not entirely sure if that is the actual case
  19. Assassin can solo flashpoints from what I have been told, I even had a friend on pub side, shadow, solo it, but it takes a lot of prep work, probably knowing all of the fights, and getting the right gear, and it probably requires a hybrid tank tree, but I know it was possible, could you solo HM? Oh no, but there were certain flashpoints you COULD do
  20. ^^ What both of those guys said. Look at other games with p2p models, WoW, ffXI, Rift, all of those you have to buy the expansion [normally for $60] and anyone who doesn't buy it became useless in the game afterwards, it is the same thing all over again. Sorry to be mean, but they've said for 4 months that you have to buy it to experience Makeb, and that you can only get to 55 by buying the expansion. Sure, maybe they didn't say that you can't get gear with coms at 50 anymore, and that the new brackets would mess up twinks and people that only want to play a level 50, but they had to change it with the updated levels and balancing. Really, it isn't that hard to find $10 that you can use to buy this expansion pack, just don't go out to eat one day a week, or don't drive one day, and there ya go, $10.
  21. I also remember reading that jedi masters are allowed to pursue romantic options but it is a rigorous amount of work to go through, and at the same time, consulars are more known for being level headed and intelligent, thus less likely to go dark side through logic and reasoning, rather than headstrong knights who just charge into things, which is more of a "dark side" though process when it comes to this game [note: this is shown because whenever you seem to want to seem like a warrior and kill someone, hurt them, or do anything knight-like, you get DS points]
  22. The reason class things are posted in here is because we are asking for balances based on PVP experiences. While yes, you do see people in the sith warrior/jedi knight that admit that rage/focus need to be nerfed, and while I am sure that Bioware knows this as well, the chances are it will be noticed in PVP and brought up here. I also was not here when the game launched [played beta but didn't have the money at the time to start playing], but I am pretty sure a lot of the nerf operative/scoundrel posts here is what got them nerfed right away [yet again, they were probably paying more attention to what was actually happening then due to the higher number of staff] So at the end of the day, pvp players more than ANY OTHER FORM want class balance, for a more enjoyably pvp experience, where every class has more than one cookie cutter build to work with and play, so that you can play the class you like in more than one way and be competitive and worthwhile.
  23. I honestly use Guss Tuno almost all the time. Aside from using him to be my healer, with the 1 out of combat mez, and flash grenade, ontop of the other stuns, I rarely need worry about not being able to start off fights behind targets or wait for CDs to come back, because they are dead. I normally go in, OOC stun either the elite or whichever I feel like if there is no elite, shootfirst one target and then pistolwhip, and bam dead, flash grenade, backblast, suckerpunch, normally dead, then stealth and let it all cool down and kill the elite [resetting him doesn't matter as you did no damage to him to start off with]. You still have the ability to dirty kick and if worse comes to worse legacy dirty kick still for backblasting, and guss will pull aggro off of you by healing if you dont attack all of the targets at the same time. However, obviously this idea works with any companion, but I don't have to worry about a fight getting hairy with Guss because he has no AOE to turn off, he has his own stuns, and he can heal us, and still does amazingly well in all of my old DPS gear
  24. Pretty sure they said they are ADDING skills to each tree, to give each tree one new active ability, as well as giving each class a new skill [which hopefully will have some way to be buffed/altered in each tree so that it is used by everyone. I'd hate to play my dps scoundrel and get a new heal, that would be a waste]. They also probably have to add skills orelse you could go almost high enough on sentinels/marauders to get huge damage from both smash and force scream [i play a mara, not a sent, so excuse me not know what the skills are called on sentinel side]
  25. There is one flaw on things like this every time that it happens, some people honestly DC or get kicked from the warzone for having to do something IRL at the beginning of a match, and bam they get booted. Now, if you could actually make sure that you are only giving the debuff to people who leave the warzone purposefully, then yeah sure go for it, but I've been dc'ed due to internet issues, my computer restarting, and a few other issues myself, and I would be mad if I got a 10 minute debuff personally for something outside of my control.
