  1. There's a lot of negativity in this thread. I'm sorry to see that so many people have had issues with the new content. I returned to check this expansion out along with star fighter combat, and I have to say I'm really enjoying the additional features you've added. It beats STO by a solid mile now, and there's enough diversity in gameplay that I feel like I can spend time doing something different each time I have a chance to login without feeling like it's a redundant grind. Solid job, team. I look forward to future releases.
  2. This is in regards to sage/sorc being able to speed jump the gap after the first door. It feels a bit broken to give 1 class the ability to advance beyond everyone else just by speed jumping the gap after the first door before the bridges are down. I totally understand if a defender is on the other side and a class with the ability to jump to them, jumps over the gap by using their presence - that's defense's fault for opening up the opportunity. But to allow 1 person to outpace all offense and defense and effectively break the flow of the map independently - that just seems a little broken. There's no quick / effective way for defense to counter, short of killing themselves and waiting for the timer on the shield door. Or having someone from the same class on the team. But more than likely the individual that jumped the gap will have already breached one or two more doors. Anyway, I'm sure people disagree. I'd like to hear it.
  3. This game's quality of PvP and balance between classes is actually worse than WoW and Rift. At the moment, when you hit 50, you just grind losses against a ton of Battlemaster geared Sorcs or Sages. Then after each loss you get fewer commendations and make less progress toward your dailies because your team can't compete against full BM. The BMs then get higher rewards that they don't need because they're already geared out. I like SWtoR but the PvP and end game are far far worse than any other game out now.
  4. I agree with some of it. But don't turn these threads into ultimatums to Bioware. It puts people on the defensive when you say "...in order to keep subscribers." For a 13 year old you articulate your points well. Keep up the good work.
  5. Digital download is extremely common these days. It wouldn't surprise me. Do you know if that 600,000 is for standard, dd and collectors?
  6. Estimate came from the latest article in the LA times. Prior to that confirmed numbers had it around 1.5. EA even stated that they had 1.2 million users at launch. Maybe the box estimate you're looking at is physical units purchased from stores. 600,000 is impossible given initial usage numbers. Remember to take into account digital downloads, that should fix your thinking.
  7. This could be good. DAoC frontier was fun. But it doesn't fully address the numbers issue in that Republic is severely outnumbered. Or did DAoC eventually address that? I don't remember,
  8. I'm not so sure Wintergrasp/Tol Barad were major fails. I still actively play WoW and TB is always full each round. People seem to still be enjoying it. But, different experiences... different opinions.
  9. Don't worry about it. And estimates are that it has sold 2.1m boxes at this point. In all honesty though, these angry folks are just trying to cause a stir and shake your confidence (not negative critiquers, you guys are good). Don't let them. If you enjoy the game, keep playing and enjoying it. Don't sweat EA's finances.
  10. I agree. I actually love that the dungeons have story and allow you to impact the end result. Even though after repeating them, you know all the outcomes, it's still one of the most fun I've played.
  11. Given the current issues with PvP imbalance in Ilum, make the zone like Tol Barad in WoW. Seriously, don't flame me. Have Ilum open 12 times a day to 20 - 30 people on each side. Set queues to open 15 minutes prior to the battle. If one side has less than the max, auto balance the number of players from the other faction to match the number of players from the faction with the less than the max (If Empire has 40 queued and Republic has 18 - each side admits 18). Have the battle last roughly 20 minutes. Give it 1:40 downtime to increase anticipation and want for participation. If you make it a limited resource that players queue up to participate in and bring them confidence that teams will be automatically evened out, you'll have more active, eager players and potentially even greater levels of participation from each side. I know what I'm not saying is new, but it works and might help.
