  1. I just logged in as I hadn't played in awhile (had initially gotten a 6 month sub). It's 10pm Pacific time and there are only 6 people in fleet on Ajunta Pall republic side.....
  2. You can think this, but it's not the case. You have to have a solid foundation for something to be built from it. If the foundation is all crumbling, the rest will collapse too and that's what we're seeing here. Honestly this is what you get when amateurs for the genre do the design work. I hate to bust their chops, but they pulled in people from Warhammer Online because EA owned Mythic. Those people didn't design a good game and so they put them on another larger budget project? How does that make any sense? I have loved previous BioWare titles, but they haven't created an MMO before so I don't see how people expect them to get it right the first time. Unfortunately in this market and the fact that we're a picky crowd, the masses are not going to give them time to get it right we'll just move onto the next best thing.
  3. I'm pretty certain if this project flops that they won't try again. Once a $200 million dollar project fails, it's doubtful anyone is going to be willing to invest in another one, even if Star Wars is huge.
  4. I found that I started having this problem after I got a Naga and started binding a slew of things to the thumb buttons. After doing some testing, from my experience, this issue seems to occur when you use a mouse button that is bound to any shift + key combo. When pressing one of those buttons plus the movement keys, if you tap it, you can sometimes become stuck moving in that direction. I changed my keybinds for the thumb buttons to alt+<key> and haven't had a problem since.
  5. No better options on the table ATM and I can stomach the PvP as long as I'm queuing with friends.
  6. and then you'll spend time unable to queue again. Actions have consequences. Nobody is telling you that you can't choose to do what you want, you'll just have to pay the piper when you do.
  7. This thread is win, simply for this graphic!

    Taunt & Guard

I'm actually talking more like four vs five to six. The four being their tank+healer premade the five to six being more of a mix. With the control the area style pvp of Alderaan and Voidstar, this group comp just feels like it can stay alive forever while doing massive amounts of damage. I totally understand that it takes good group coordination but it still seems to me that it's just a bit too good.

    Taunt & Guard

Anyone else find the taunt and guard mechanics combined with healers a bit overpowered and just a bit too good? I see a lot of premades that consist of a healer or two and two classes that have guard. More often than not I see Powertech/Vanguard as the tanks since they can do so much AOE damage and kite melee like a boss while remaining tanky (in pvp gear of course) on top of the fact they have dedicated healers. They protect the healers with guard and taunt rotations and it quite literally feels like you cannot do any damage to the group unless you stack up 8 people vs their 4.
  10. They really should just remove the PvP aspect, add armaments everywhere, and we'll call it the gathering mini-game "CrateVille".
  11. Considering they're invis hacking, it wouldn't do any good. What they should do is attach the champion mob that is guarding the chest, to the chest with a buff. Make it so when you kill that mob, you get a temporary buff that allows you to open the chest. Even if they level up, they can't really bot it considering champs can be difficult to kill. Also they would have to be able to interact with the mob so no more invis hacking. Poof, problem solved.
  12. I'd seriously recommend not opening bags until the patch. Bags from PvP quest rewards are non-unique so you can save them in the bank. Don't bother buying pvp bags atm, just save up 1000 of both commendations.
  13. There's a glitch that might be something people can re-create, but it's giving one side too many players 10-11 vs the other side having 8.
  14. We can always hope when he kicks the bucket that whomever inherits creative rights to the universe will release some new movies. ;0)
  15. Someone else who actually played X-wing vs Tie Fighter. Sir, I salute you. One of my favorite games of all times, and definitely my favorite space combat game.
  16. Or perhaps they have more info on how the abilities actually work then you? You're making a lot of assumptions on how things work, especially for a game that has no combat log. Napkin math, especially on gaming abilities has been proven wrong time and again in games like WoW, by the developers, and those people even had combat logs to parse.
  17. I'm only valor rank 48 right now so I do not know. Can you save your BM bags in the interim or are the ones rewarded from quests unique?
  18. Time to start saving my champ bags from quests, would much rather get a guaranteed 15 tokens then play with the RNG gods hoping that I get a helm, leggings, and a MH + OH lightsaber.
  19. Ok, this is actually a good change. That would definitely be something you want to update the patch notes with. It never made sense to me that champ bags did not drop champion tokens. I can only hope this patch is coming very soon. Thanks!
  20. So basically, you'll just skip over Champion gear until you're a Battlemaster, and then start having to bank up tokens for that gear grind? This doesn't make any sense and I'd really like to see a more in depth explanation on how this idea came to be. If anything you should make champion bags give champion commendations and a solid chance at a token to buy a centurion piece of armor.
  21. So to clear up any confusion, this is a MIXTURE of both active paid subs and people who have "given their credit cards over" Not saying this is good or bad, I still love those numbers. But that is the TRUTH about the 1.7mil number. There's your answer right there. I know when I play MMOs, I enter my subscription plan right off the bat since I can cancel it anytime. People who have purchased the game and entered their CC and within their first month are counted into that figure.
  22. You can throw out Wikipedia links all you want. Use some common sense, and actually learn a little about businesses. There are quite a few tax laws in place as well, but Corporations easily get around them and pay little to no taxes through clever and legal accounting practices. Can anyone say "Cayman Islands tax shelters"? The same can be said of how businesses report their figures to shareholders and the public. Yes, they walk a fine line, but it is done on a regular basis.
  23. There's a difference between falsifying and reporting information with a positive spin and doing everything you can to make it look good. It's done all the time, especially when it comes to presenting quarterly results to shareholders. Business is business, nothing new here. Also before the real conspiracy clowns, aka fanboys, cry out that I'm out to get the game, I have a 6 month subscription and I'm happily playing it regularly. That doesn't mean I can't look at information presented to me from financial management and be objective about it while using common sense about how corporate businesses are run.
  24. That's basically what I'm saying. By the time the resolve bar actually fills up, I've typically died 1.5 times.
  25. The resolve mechanic only really works when you're fully geared, then you might live long enough and have enough HP for it to make a difference. That is, assuming that it actually works. There are many instances where I'll have a full resolve bar and I'm still getting CC'd left and right.
