As you already pointed out, "fun" is subjective, that's why "fun", "difficult" or "challenging" can only be determined by each individual and not by "majorities" or "minorities". "Votes" on the other hand are objective, can be counted and their purpose is to determine "majorities" and "minorities". And this falls in the field of poilitcs, and we are not discussing politics, but we are talking about a game and having fun.

Very nice said, not to mention that different lvls of difficulty means more options and more flexibility. I really can't understand how someone can complain about having more options; if you find something too easy/hard, you have the option to choose a harder/easier version. No one is forcing you to run all lvls of difficulty, you can choose the one that's best for you.

First of all I never said that we didn't finish the normal flashpoints, or the HM flashpoints, but that enrage timers narrow down the players options and force us to have only a certain group structure that we didn't enjoy, leaving behind a friend I would have liked to play with, but couldn't because he didn't have the right class/spec. Simply the idea of negatively motivating players through punishment if they don't get enough DPS in a certain amount of time seems rather abusive and I would have found it a much better way to have positive motivation, through extra rewards/achievements or titles if you could make it in time.

When you are telling people that they are stupid and, to quote you, "get the "****** OFF", no one asked you to play" you should expect that your post will be flagged for insult. I would also like to remind people like HellFlame, who are afraid that removing the timers will make dps classes/specs useless and unwanted, that the message of this thread was not to completely remove the timers from the game but to introduce a new layer of "difficulty" where timers are required, to give people the option to choose if they want to play with timers or without them. Also, the timers should be a way of motivating players positively by bringing extra rewards, achievements or titles, not a way of brutally punishing them for not getting the "right" time, wiping the whole group in seconds and get it stuck at that point with no options or solutions for that group to go on.

If you can't make it in time is not because you are bad , you don't have the skill or the gear , but because your group doesn't meet the required dps in "x" amount of time, forcing you to have only a certain group composition. Ppl like you who think that they are "skilled", "geared" and "good" are making the mmo communities worse.

We can't be thankful for an endgame content with lots of problems and the enrage timers are one of the biggest problem for some of us. You can't simply dismiss us just because you don't have this problem, not when there are simple solutions to fix this for everyone. Not to mention that feedback from players is the most important tool for improving the game.

This kind of debate can go on and on forever with both sides giving arguments of why they like or they don't like the enrage timers. The problem can be solved easily with little time required, as already has been suggested, by removing the enrage timers from the actual HM flashpoints to make them accesible for all casual players and all kinds of group combinations and by introducing "speed" HM flashpoints with timers , maybe more abilities for mobs and bosses to make them harder and some extra loot to make the hardcore players happier. This way everyone will be happy. What I found intriguing is the fact that the set items that we can buy with crystals and commendations from HM flaspoints are only slightly better than the ones that we can have from orange items combined with lvl 49/50 epic item modifications, which makes the HM flaspoints runs usless for the most part of the game unless you are hoping for a random drop that will suit you at the last boss of every HM. This would be all I have to say, the solution is simple but then again, many things are simple and yet we do not have them in the game: combat log, threat display, target of the taget display and so on. Maybe the dev team will address the problem but I'm somewhat skeptical after seing how they "solved" the fact that too many players felt that the Biochem was mandatory at lvl50... they don't want Biochem to be mandatory, so they fix it by making all of the good stuff require 400 Biochem to use. That being said, have fun ingame and may the force be with you!

Absolutely agree. The enrage timers are not doing the combat better or more entertaining it only forces you to have a specific dps and if you don't have it all your group will be wiped in 5 sec which is not fun nor imaginative, only frustrating and absurd. Everything goes well for the whole duration of the fight ,we have the boss at 7% and suddenly we are being killed in one shut. End of the game, disappointment and all this for what reason, what was the point? To make the game more entertaining? Sorry but for us was anything but entertaining.

I loved the storyline of the game, the lvl-ing experience, the fact that we have companions that can help us in heroics and flashpoints, but once we entered in hard mode flashpoints (after 2 weeks of grinding daylies for better gear, which wasn't very fun) everything became insane and exaggerated because of "enrage timers" ,a woeful way of transforming a nice game in a frustrating and impossible experience. If you want to keep the same high quality of the game take out the timers from HM flashpoints ,this way all of us will be able to do our "epic" crafts and maybe an armor set (still the costs for sets are insane). If you want to keep the hardcore players happy you can introduce an "insane" mode with timers and something extra to keep them satisfied. Also would be nice to have normal and HM versions of all flashpoints for 2 and 3 players . A combat log , target of target and threat display also would be most helpful. The saddest thing about "enrage timers" is the fact that the enraged boss simply kills the players in one shot making them feel helpless and useless, taking away any desire of playing or coming back to the game. After more than 300 hours spent in game to lvl-up and gear the character this is not the feeling that you expect to get from the end game content, especially after Bioware has invested so much time and money in storylines that make us feel so heroic and unique.
