  1. It's actually a pointless upgrade, when you think about it. It will only get you to your destination 1/10th faster.
  2. As I said, that's what I've been doing. But the fact that I felt like that was actually a viable option just screams bad game design. Also, they really need to just relabel sith warrior stealth's tooltip to "Doesn't do anything, why did we even bother including this skill?" instead of the long winded description they have.
  3. This only really makes sense. You're supposed to be one of the most powerful Sith/jedi to have ever lived, it wouldn't be as fun if everyone was like "We don't need you here, we're good".
  4. Did you not see the opening movie? The Sith have the upper hand, the Republic do not. It only makes sense that everything is an uphill battle. Plus, the cardinal law of alignment is that it's way cooler to be evil.
  5. Were you even alive during Ultima Online? I don't think you're older than 15. Anyway, you can't talk to me unless you at least know what a true hardcore, challenging MMO is. So good bye.
  6. Take your "I'm so hardcore" attitude elsewhere, please. I survived through Ultima Online PvP, I'm more hardcore than you could ever be.
  7. Yep, that's why it's gonna be the first planet I don't finish. Getting off that ******** as soon as I finish my class quests.
  8. Either that is from beta a long time ago, or it is indeed bugged.
  9. yeah, that's what I was noticing, usually I hate sharing quest areas with other people, but today on Alderaan I found myself wishing the area was overcrowded.
  10. I don't trust it. I always assume people are serious.
  11. But...there's no challenge in it. It's not hard killing 70 groups of 4 normal mobs and 20 elites with a single normal mob with them. It's just tedious. Believe me, I love challenge in games. I have taken to soloing heroics just to find a semblance of challenge in this game.
  12. We're not your psychologists. We're here to play a game, I find it unfortunate whatever personal problems you're having, but I don't care about them. Nor do I really care about the people I'm grouped with unless they prove to be exceptional players. If you're pulling and progressing the dungeon, I will gladly be friendly and social with you.
  13. Yeah, that is one of the numerous reasons I quit Rift in under a month.
  14. In SP games, the mobs don't respawn. So getting out is only a matter of walking out, not fighting through an entire platoon of 5 billion grunts again.
  15. I don't recall the point in Return of the Jedi where Luke walked down a narrow corridor for 50 minutes killing various disposable grunts that are replaced in under 5 minutes. And yeah, I've started dying just as a means to get out of a place without having to fight since by the time I complete the quest I'm already annoyed at how many mobs I had to kill, or running as far as I can into an area and reviving using a medical probe and repeating. That is not good game design.
  16. Give the game a few months and 50k credits will be nothing, 1 million credits will barely be anything. Seriously, money is so ridiculously easy to get in this game that you have to be *real* spend happy to ever have money problems.
  17. They are, on the outside. But when you're forced into one of the game's billions of narrow linear corridors(some of which seem to be 20 miles long for no real reason), the agro becomes a problem. And one quest for 8.5k XP winds up taking 45 minutes because there's so much clearing needed.
  18. TOR is the worst offender of "theme park MMO" i've seen yet. Everything just feels like a ride that you have to wait your turn at. Maybe if it didn't take 5 minutes for all quest objectives to reset it would alleviate some of that.
  19. I'm pretty sure 90% of the players of this game don't do flashpoints for that exact reason. Bioware is essentially forcing a lot of players to miss a lot of content by bowing down to the vocal minority and refusing to add any sort of LFD tool. We can't all spend our entire lives on the internet and get a consistent group of 10 internet friends to play with. A lot of us have real life friends that take precedence, as well as a job.
  20. The amount of kddies here that get needlessly defensive without even knowing what they're talking about is real annoying. And not even EQ was as bad as this game, at least in EQ you actually had a chance of outrunning the mobs, as well as things like group invisibility.
  21. Doesn't work here. I've played more MMOs than you, I can guarantee you, and none have forced you to engage enemies like this one.
  22. The amount of times I've had to do a quest, but be forced to wade through 50+ enemy troops to get to one objective, and then wade through another 20+ to get the the final objective, and, if my warp is down, go through the entire place again to get out is ridiculous. There needs to be a far better way to avoid agro. Speeders don't work, because they blow up as soon as you take damage. Running doesn't work, as the mobs are spread so thickly that you can't outrun one group without agroing another. My awful Sith marauder "stealth" doesn't do jack ****. Something needs to be done about this. It makes questing extremely tedious.
  23. I don't really think grouping with your wife really qualifies as being social. More like just lugging the ball and chain around.
  24. I think the game desperately needs a "non-human" playable race. The fact that you can only play near-human races in a galaxy filled with literally uncountable species ripe for the picking is really silly. The closest we get to that is Twi'lek, but I hate their head *****s. Ewoks would be fine, they're cute. But Gungans? Only if they add a Gungan slaughter zone where it just spawns 500 of them with 1 HP and you run around killing them all.
