  1. Great post, agree with everything that was said. Game feels incomplete and lackluster at 50. Leveling was a great change of pace, but after 2 weeks i no longer log in, its just nothing new, its WoW with lightsabers and less content at 50, literally, there isnt anything that WoW doesent offer, but it offers even less with more bugs... Ive unsubbed, will re-sub once major changes and fixes are introduced.
  2. The amount of loading screens in this game is absurb, and its only going to get worse, I dont know if I can take a year of this or even a few more months...die in a flashpoint...wait in a loading screen, spawn right outside of the flashpoint, walk back in, wait in a loading screen... I can only imagine how annoying this will be during raids... Cant these loadtimes be consolidated somehow?
  3. Unsubscribe. Let your voices be heard. Thats how changes were brought to america. Go on strike. Wow lost a million players, what did they do? New Patch! Easy raids for everyone! Change the look of your gear to anything you want! Pandas! Pokemon! Blizzard waited until they took a significant subscriber hit to implement these changes. People were asking for gear matching and changing since the game was released in 2004. Blizzard didnt waste their time. You know why? They needed to save bullets in their gun to use in times of need. You never release an MMO with every single option and feature available. Then what will you do when players start to get bored and leave? You have nothing else to offer them. String them alone, make them invest time into the game so they wont just leave for no reason, make them get attached, and then, when they finally start leaving, you bring in something you know they always wanted. Stop being ignorant people, this is a business, Bioware is never going to use all of its ammo at launch, they will introduce content over the course of years to keep people happy. Its simple when you think about it.
  4. Pretty much. Hardcore players just need to adjust. You are an extreme minority. You are not going to get your way. Deal with it, move on. Its 2012. We are in the middle of one of the biggest recessions of all time. Learn to co-exist with casuals inside MMOs because the current model of MMOs isnt going to change. The reason WoW has 11 million players is because its a casual friendly game that offers hardcore rewards for the "true gamers"
  5. This isnt 2007. Nobody is going to play a game where they cant see content. Bioware isnt going to design raids where only 5% of the population gets to see it, you know why? 95% of the player base will get disgruntled. Blizzard perfected this model. Make raids and content accessible to ANYONE. Make heroics and hard modes accessible only to coordinated guilds. Win/Win situation. Casuals and Hardcore gamers both get to see the content blizzard produces.
  6. If SWTOR catered to all the "true gamers" it wouldnt even have 10k subs. Its called a MASSIVE Multiplayer Online game for a reason. You dont get MASSIVE by catering to the minority of players. /end thread
  7. Gearscore with no LFD would make finding groups for new 50's near impossible. Hard enough to find a group as is, oh wait, now I need this level of gear to even do a hard mode? I quit.
  8. I dare you. Its a near impossiblity, as a PvP centric player, this is a game breaker for me.
  9. Not a hate post, just wondering what the community thinks about the state of the game, and if you think its worth $15 a month for 6 hard modes, dailies, huttball (if your empire this is really the only warzone you are able to play) and one raid.
  10. Reading this list, i would re-sub if most of these were implemented. The "quality of life" of this game is just way too low, it needs more.
  11. Its not you, its Bioware and its horribly optimized game. Wait for a fix and keep holding out hope they get their act together, its going to take some major engine work to fix this one.
  12. For those saying the game sucks, I agree it does not live up to the hype, but what did you expect? Honestly, what did you expect? MMO's cannot revolutionize the genre, the end game is always going to be the same. Dailies, PvP, Raids, and Instances. Thats it. If you dont like those four things, you just dont like MMO end games.
  13. I understand people are dissapointed with this game, but the reality is, its no different from other MMOS. In the grand scheme of things, MMO's at end game can only offer so much. You have dailies, pvp, raids, and instances that you use to gear up for said raids. Thats pretty much it. The community, your friends, and/or guild you are in is what will effect how much you play, and how often you do and might just affect how much fun you have. You arent going to find a different end game in any other game, its all the same with various degrees of graphics, for example, the end game in SWTOR is no different then WoW, except we are in the star wars universe, thats a good thing, its a change of environment. If you got this game expecting level 50 to be completely different then in any other MMO, im sorry but you had your expectations too high. SWTOR is a great game, but if you are tired of the whole "stagnant level 50 play, i want faster content to keep me entertained" you just might be burnt out as far as MMO's go and its time to move on to other types of games. For what its worth, I loved leveling in this game I thought it was great and was really interested, but once I hit 50, i realized that the idea of end game MMO's no longer interested me or kept me entertained. Doing dailies, buggy/laggy PvP in only one warzone (huttball), ability delay, lack of raids and only 6 hard mode dungeons really made me lose interest in the game. I didnt expect anything different, I just thought a change of scenery from WoW was what I needed to get back into the MMO scene, turns out, I just no longer like MMOs, the end game is just too boring. Nothing against SWTOR, I just feel that like myself, other people are no longer interested in the current state of END GAME MMO content. I wont be going back to WoW. Havent touched that game in over a year, and pandas and pokemon only reinforce my lack of interest in every touching the game again. I just feel like the current state of MMO's just is no longer fun for me.
  14. Already unsubbed, will come back once the FPS in warzone and ability delay issues are fixed. Great game and I love every aspect of it, even though it has tons and tons of bugs, but since im mainly a PvPer, I wont play a game where I cant PvP with a decent frame rate, my comp runs all other games fine, and I even get 70-100 FPS in lots of places in SWTOR, but the warzones are near unplayable and i have more then the minimum system specs.
  15. I miss Taris and Hutta the most. Hutta because of the "first day nostalgia" and massive amount of players in the zone. Taris, because that planet was just incredible from top to bottom, its a crying shame that Republic cant interact with Empire there because they are completely different phased worlds altogether. Would have made for some great PvP.
  16. Dear god Bioware, this is just a tad bit extreme, money is not easily made in this game, right now its costing me 40k for a full repair after 10 deaths, and it is EASY to die in this game.
  17. And this is coming from a lifetime raider. The amount of work put into these bosses must have been incredible. And to think, they are just hard modes of normal flashpoints, not even operations. As of right now, the hard modes are extremely overtuned, for characters hitting 50 and delving into them, they are extremly demanding, and also buggy. And you know what? I like it. I like how challenging this game was, not only to level up, but the hard modes are ridiculously hard, as they should be. My group just spent 4 hours in Hard Mode False Emperor. Got up to the 4th boss where we got him to 10% after about 2 hours of trying, but couldnt get past him because we didnt have enough geared DPS. Night well spent. Warning, "bads and newbies" will NOT be able to get through hard modes, the amount of skill and etc is just too high. Most hard mode fights include staying out of constant aoe, as well as having to do other things all at the same time, to help the fight and help other people from being killed. SWOTR includes EVERYONE in fights, every member of the team is responsible for everyone else, not just healers or tanks. Your ENTIRE team has to be competent in order to succeed, you cant "carry" newbs in this games flashpoints on hard mode.
  18. Whos idea was it to PERMANENTLY require \ to be binded to open/create a help ticket, a window pops up that you HAVE to manually mouse over to exit two screens. Its RIGHT ABOVE THE ENTER KEY. Dear god, this happens dozens of times a day the worst times, seriously why did you not give us the option to de-bind this travesty? I am BEYOND annoyed! Seriously? The key right above the enter key? Please fix this in the upcoming patch and let us de-bind this. Its infuriating.
  19. This game is destined to be the greatest MMO of all time. Sure, there are a billion bugs, infurating ones, combat delay repsonsiveness issues, FPS issues, among other things that may piss a million players off. But despite all of the bad, the good outweights. Ive yet to explore every nook and cranny, but from what ive seen so far as a freshly dinged 50, makes me want to keep playing, and playing...and playing.
  20. Anyone else with good to great FPS anywhere else get nearly unplayable FPS in this warzone? I cant for the life of me figure out whats going on, I get extremely low FPS here, all the way down to 5! What gives?!
  21. As a PvP first player, I cant see myself playing this game long-term if the ability delay isnt removed and is made more fluid. I enjoy all other aspects of the game, but PvP is unplayable, clunky, and unconfortable and I will notbe playing a game long term in which that is the case. Great job on all other aspects though Bioware, and im sure eventually you will get around to changing this game breaking feature.
  22. Try PvPing as a Sniper or Gunslinger, your cast bar will finish but your ability wont trigger. So you cant just hit another move until you actually watch your ability animation go off, now try watching for ability animations while looking at your health, energy, the opponent, other cooldowns, etc at the same time. Yea, unplayable.
  23. PvP as a Sniper is pretty much unplayable with the current ability delay. All my moves have cast timers, so I have to wait until the animation goes off before i use my next move or it gets cancelled. Its kind of stupid to have to sit and wait, even though your cast bar just finished, because you have to make sure the animation goes off or it doesent cast. I rerolled today because I cant PvP as a sniper anymore, the ability delay is just too much for me to bear.
