  1. Because they hit 50. Leveling to 50 was the best part of the game. End game sucks. Sorry but its true.
  2. I sat around all day in Orgrimmar in WoW while waiting for queues to pop, it was boring. 7 years later and im still doing the same thing, just with sabers, and in space. No thanks. Ill be back when im not sick of MMO end game in general, sitting around running circles around the fleet while waiting in queues or spamming LFG for all the raids/flashpoints that i dont really need because it only takes a few days after 50 to get in full raid gear isnt really my thing. Game has tons of potential but the end game is horrid and is basically just World of Warcraft in space, but less sandboxy and less polished with less options. Leveling 1-50 was incredible, and was done really well, but leveling was SO FUN that at 50 it kind of feels like "wow, why am i playing this now? i beat it, and theres nothing to do but sit in fleet now" Until then ill be playing Mass Effect 3 and league of legends
  3. Just played a few rounds of the new mass effect 3 multiplayer. Incredible graphics, lots of FX, overall it should be more taxing then SWTOR warzones right? Wrong. ME3 mutliplayer plays BRILLIANTLY on my comp, flawless FPS, max settings, the game is great and the engine can handle multiple people running around with massive gunblasts everywhere. SWTOR on the other hand drags to a lowly 20 fps, i dont get it, SWOTR is inferior in every regard to ME3 both graphic wise and effect wise, why does it run worse then ME3 multiplayer?
  4. I really do. Hate is too kind of a word really. I LOATHE these two planets so much! It forces me to PvP for 6 levels straight just to avoid these planets on any alt I have. Hoth: Biggest planet in the game, least amount of quests out of any planet only quesh rivals for least amount of quests, most traveling involved out of all the planets. Example of a basic Hoth quest: "Hi there, travel to the other end of the world to kill or loot this thing, then come back to me, yea i know im at the starting quest hub, deal with it" Belsavis: 2nd biggest planet next to hoth, 2nd most time spent traveling with Hoth ahead of it, enemies on roads everywhere, you cant go from one place to another without clearing waves of trash each time you travel to an area. Example of a basic Belsavis quest: "Hi there, travel through three sets of different maps, clear the trash mobs that are on the roads to objective, go into this dungeon, go to the end of the dungeon, kill this thing, clear the trash that respawned behind you to get back out, then clear through all that trash again to get to a flight path, die to the elites that are wandering around the roads, feel the lag of the huge guns going off, dont make a wrong turn or more elites will kill you, come back to me, hand in quest, NOW GO BACK TO THE SAME AREA TO KILL THIS OTHER THING" ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
  5. Lets see if anyone can do this or is willing to. Level a character without dying of boredom in World of Warcraft from 1-85 after playing SWTOR. I dare you. I double dare you.
  6. Im still shivering, this is going to the best game in the history of mankind. Thank you Bioware.
  7. Did the math over the past few weeks while leveling a republic toon that I leveled to 50 through PvP only. Republic wins nearly all warzones, while my empire toon that I leveled to 50 through PvP struggled to win 1 out of 10 matches. So yea, Republic on Dark Reaper is definately the "Place to roll for PvP" If you wanted to roll republic, this is the server to roll it on, and proceed to win nearly all of your warzones, empire is so pathetically bad on this server its laughable. Just thought I would let you guys know, if you plan on rolling Republic, roll it here.
  8. I cant believe this class doesent have auto-attack. We are the only class in the game that is required to spam our basic attack, all the time in order to do anything, while other classes almost NEVER use their auto-attack... Comeon Bioware. Snipers/Gunslingers get Cover, Warriors and Knights should have an auto-attack, this is just unreal how badly this class needs it. Whos idea was it? Were going to make this class have to spam their auto-attack in order to use other attacks, but no other class needs to use their auto-attack ever... Comeon man...
  9. These foums rival the League of Legend forums, where 99% of the posts here are cryposts, complaining, whining, and insults. Literally, the front page is 90% negative with 10% positive and normal posts. The entire community of this game so far screams bad. I have NEVER seen a game where 90% of its playerbase on the forums are negative, trolling and crying/complaining. Not even League of Legends is this bad and its a free to play game with rampant 12 year olds trolling on their parents computer. Just look at the front page. 1) SWTOR doesent have an instant pizza hut order button so im quitting. 2) This game fails hard because it doesent have animal mounts, i think ill go back to Warhammer. 3) I have 6 level 50's and am legacy level 50 and bored, your game fails bioware. 4) Story is a bad thing (LOL!) 5) Ability Cooldown animations are the breaking point, I cant play this anymore. 6) This game needs to be F2P (Aka, i dont wanna pay to play, i want to play for free like league of legends) 7) Imperial fleet and republic fleet are the same...im quitting. 8) Jar Jar stole my bike, im quitting. Seriously guys, stop with the negative posts, dont embarass this community and turn it into the league of legends board.
  10. I cant get these settings to Low, ever. These two immediately reset to High whenever the game boots up. I can set the preset to low settings, restart, everything will be low but these two will still be on High...I dont get it. Can anyone help with this?
  11. Haha spot on assesement, everytime i think of that planet i remember how horrible it was and how many times it made me rage.
  12. I dont get it, it seems that many people, even with high end machines get massive FPS drops in Warzones, everything runs smooth but the second someone enters a warzone, their FPS decreases by 50 and they are struggling to get more than 40 FPS in these areas. Whats the deal here BW? Is it the guns in alderan civil war, is it the voidstar graphic and the fire in huttball? It seems like once the guns start firing, once the flames start igniting, it drops my FPS and many others by 20 and sometimes by 30. Have you checked these issues out? Anyway you can optimize these things?
  13. 5+ years in development and Bioware never "noticed" how terribly responsive their game is. Rushed untested game is rushed and untested.
  14. I fully agree. Fortunately for me i unsubbed and wont have to deal with any of their problems until these are fixed. Mass Effect 3 and real life for me, hopefully by the time I finish ME3, SWTOR will have added all the features it needed, fixed performance issues and ability delay, and remove all the needless filler like orbital stations, etc. Game has potential to be great but is just handled by the wrong company. Blizzard would have made SWTOR possibly the greatest GAME ever made.
  15. Bioware, Im starting to question your developers. 1) Crappy engine. Why did you guys use an engine that was made for a MMO that failed to even launch and was cancelled after 2 months in development. Why didnt you build your own engine like Blizzard did to make WoW? Learn from the most successful MMO of all time. You guys obviously didnt learn from others success. 2) The SWTOR End game, is a carbon copy of WoW's endgame with less things to do, nothing new, and a whole LIST of problems. All of us played WoW, we wanted something different, not more of the same with only "slightly better" graphics. 3) Ability Delay, your developers worked on this game for 5+ years and for some reason failed to acknowlege this horrible problem and fix it within that time? I think you knew this was a problem, but failed to do anything about it, why you waited is beyond me. Horrible decision that has and will cause a loss of subscriptions, something you could have dealt with BEFORE the game launched, but chose not to, hope the loss of $$$ makes you realize this mistake. 4) Zero World PvP, my server had a 2 hour queue to log in every night when I leveled, I ran into 3 players of the opposing faction from levels 1-50. Three. Your game has no world pvp. Something so many people wished it had and thought it would. 5) Bugs, I have never, EVER, played a game that had as many bugs as this game. 6) Performance. Lets be honest, the games graphics are mediocre at best, and slightly above WoW. Yet so many people are having performance problems running this game, espeically in Warzones. WoW was successful because their engine was made to compliment hundreds of players in one space and large scale PvP. 7) No interaction with the opposing faction. Does the republic even exist? I never see them, we cant raid their cities, we cant go to any of their planets, we cant interact with them unless we queue up for two instances warzones. 8) Everything is small-scale. The planets are huge, but nothing else is. The games engine cant handle hunderds of people on the screen at once, so kiss raiding cities goodbye, and you will NEVER see a 40v40 warzone like AV in WoW. 9) Lack of player immersion. The game feels like once you hit 50, you beat the game and there is nothing else to do. Sure you can log in and raid once a week, sure you can queue up for Huttball, but is this really worth $15 a month? 10) Lack of polish. Quite frankly, the game feels extremely unfinished and rushed, it lacks pretty much any feature of newer MMO's, feels old, and makes you feel like your a beta tester. 11) Legacy system is a complete and utter embarassment to your company. You literally implemented a legacy system, it tells you "you have gained a legacy level" but it does absolutely nothing. What an embarassment Bioware. Why even implement this if it has nothing to offer? It just makes your game look rushed. 12) This list can go on forever, the point is, BW, you gave us so many things to complain about. Why didnt you just try to please us and make us happy with your product instead of leaving us dissapointed. Nope. For those reasons. Bioware closed my earlier thread.

  17. Get a better comp. You should be running an i7 with a top of a line video card to run this game, it has some of the best graphics I have ever seen, truly groundbreaking.
  18. Fully agree, unsubbed awhile ago and will not resub until most of the problems listed are fixed. I expect a HUGE drop-off in subscribers.
  19. There is a reason Republic cant go to Drummond Kass, and why Empire cant land on Coruscant. There is a reason why there are shards and the game is heavily instanced. There is a reason why Bioware made extremely huge planets, and made sure not to have overlapping questing areas between the two factions. There is a reason why 16 is the max amount of players in a warzone. There is a reason why flashpoints are 4 players, and operations are 8. There is a reason why thousands upon thousands of players are having performance issues with systems well above the minimum specs. Besides the fleet this entire game feels like they were purposely trying to design it to "not have too many people in one area" The game engine simply was not designed to create a large scale community game, or a vast MMO. Just think about it, the entire game is designed to round you into one area and keep you there, just to get to a planet you have to face multiple loading screens. Dont even think about ever raiding an opposing factions home planet, or anything like that until they work out the issues. If BW claims only 5% of their subscribers are having "Performance Issues" then why did they design their game to be as "small scale" as they have? Think about it folks. The Hero Engine fails. And the Massive MMO's you loved, the massive city raids and faction leader kills you once enjoyed, and the huge large scale battlegrounds you once participated in will never be available in this game.
  20. The game indeed does look great, on MAX Settings. On LOW Settings however, it looks like WoW, some of the detail in WoW is actually better, so the graphics are comparable. The difference is, now that they have the same graphics, one game can handle an 80 person battleground and a 300v300 person outdoor raid(that is a huge deal no matter the game actually) while the other game is struggling to run a 16 person warzone with the same graphics as WoW when its on low settings.
  21. I really hope you are right because it is EXTREMELY frustrating having to tweak so many things and try so many band-aid fixes just to play an 8v8 warzone with WoW level graphics when I could just be playing WoW and partaking in an epic 600 person raid or 40v40 battleground at 70 FPS. I love this game, but I cant continue to justify a subscripting with this problem.
  22. Not a WoW thread, but a thread where I am at a loss as to describe the performance of this game. I can run the game on my rig at MAX Settings, even with shadows on, everywhere but the fleet and warzones and maintain 50-60 FPS. Now, when I feel like visitng the fleet, but mostly to play warzones, I have to lower my video card, and in-game graphical settings to LOW. Now, lets be honest here, anyone who has played WoW, and has played SWTOR on low settings, knows that on LOW SETTINGS these are WoW level, if not "barely above WoW level" graphics. My rig is only pulling 15-20 FPS in all warzones which are only 8v8. WoW on Ultra was pulling 70+ FPS during 600 person raids and 40v40 Alterac Valley battlegrounds, where the graphics ARE pretty much exactly the same as SWTOR on low. What gives Bioware? I really want to re-sub but I am not buying a new rig to be able to play this game, when it can play so many other games on great settings with no problems. There is another game called WoW that has the same graphics as this game on low settings, but can also handle 80 person battlegrounds at 70 FPS.
  23. Actually im not, I quit the game years ago and would never play again, but the game DID do large scale very well, and some part of me wishes I could raid coruscant or partake in large scale warzones like 40 jedi vs 40 sith.
  24. World PvP is differnet in this game. You dont run into the opposing faction while leveling. World PvP in this game is "going" to a known republic area, and waiting for them to land at speeder locations before they go off and zone into an instnace. While leveling to 50 I ran into 3 republic players on my "full" server that had over an hour queue.
  25. What do you guys think? I think Bioware knows that its game engine and servers cannot support raiding cities (aka hundreds of people fighting at once, and also a 40v40 warzone similar to alterac valley in WoW wouldnt be able to run with the engine. In WoW I remember being a part of a over 600 person raid, around 300 on each faction that raided stormwind then ironforge, while WoW's graphics may not be the best, the fact that you could have over 600 people all using abilities in one area with little to no lag or choppiness was a testament to just how great their engine was. I think BW knows that in its current state, the game cannot support large scale battles, and we are pretty much destined for 8v8 combat and no city raids ever until changes are made to the engine somehow. Makes me a sad panda because city raids and large scale PvP is what this game is missing.
