  1. So far i haven't seen a straight answer to this. As a combat medic would i lose HPS if i switched to a blaster rifle from an assault cannon? The reason i'm wondering about this is because of the max damage, i've read posts saying the damage also affects the healing, and others saying it doesn't. If someone can clear this up for me i'd be thankful.

TBH, i think it is actually whoever is closest to the side the ball is coming in on. say ball was thrown at a player and it is coming to him from the west. if an opposing player is standing in between the friendly player and the ball i think the opposing player catches it (this is if they aren't stunned) Dunno if BW is right or if what i stated above is the case but, *shrug*.
  3. They aren't exactly brutal, but i would at the very least like to come back in to the last boss area that you killed. but like others said, it's not terrible because you can use your own speeders or boats.
  4. Got into an argument with my raid leader saying that very few ops bosses can be shielded against, i was wondering if that is true and i should trade my shield rating to defense. P.S. i am a shadow tank
  5. this is what u're saying is the 30% nerf (including the damage reduction)? Tracer Missile has been rebalanced in order to encourage more active gameplay rotations. It now generates 16 Heat, has a 2-second activation time, and deals approximately 10% less damage. ok, now bear with me here, about 2 lines higher on the PTR notes it says this Muzzle Fluting no longer reduces Heat costs. It now reduces the activation time of Power Shot and Tracer Missile by .5 seconds. ok, now it is back to its normal cast time. oh but it is nerfed by 10% damage Heatseeker Missiles' damage output has been increased by approximately 10%. if that isn't a big enough buff to even it out for you, they also buffed barrage's proc rate (which is arguably the hardest hitting ability [does 1k per tick for a total of 3k and about 2k per tick if it crits which could make it anywhere from 4k-6k]). and during the channel you are slowly venting its heat value to make it as if you didn't use the ability. Barrage: The chance to trigger this effect has been increased significantly honestly arsenal mercs and gunnery commandos, are about = if not better than they are on live. healers are a different story entirely, bodyguard mercs are probably not going to be the first choice for progression, but with skill and gear they could prolly pull something out of the air. (yes bodyguard mercs and combat medic commados have been nerfed for little reason [that i can see of anyway])
  6. i didn't see any difficulty increase, but the ship with jango . . . er i mean jindo tends to bug most common bug i found was the ship not retreating after you fire a laser in its face. as for darth malgus, i haven't seen any bugs with him (we did get him to 1% hp before he started his lightning spam though )
  7. like you i could see it having 1 ammo cost, i guess what Bioware is think is that a free, instant, 10 charge heal is extremely powerful. to me, it's kinda meh, i throw it whenever i can, but i certainly don't expect it to save the tank.
  8. Yeah, having a mind trap spawn under the pillar and then being dragged under it as the pillar hits = insta pwned
  9. Tauntauns animal mounts are so much faster, if it seems like a long distance, the screen just slides to the left and you're at your destination. but in all seriousness, at least on hoth you shoulda been able to get tauntauns. (heh rabbit goats)
  10. cross server, no thanks, server only LFG system sure. keeps most ninjas out, and the ones it doesn't won't ever get another group again because they will be singled out in the fleet and everyone will know the ninja's name. that's my 2 credits.
  11. I keep seeing these threads. I'm not opposed to an LFG tool, but the cross-server LFG tool is what drove the fun factor in WoW to the ground and if it's thrown into SWTOR this early, it ain't gonna fly. i agree with server merges and a server LFG tool, because server merges obviously will get more players on the server which means more players to do FPs and HMs with. A server LFG tool would be great because some 50s are on ilum, or datacron hunting, or assisting people leveling up which means they aren't on the fleet. A server LFG tool allows them to queue with the people on their particular server and still get datacrons and do stuff on ilum or what have you. Now what the above paragraph entails is that they put the respawn points INSIDE the flipping FPs instead of punting them out so they have to run back in. (or port in as might be the case) What will happen (in my opinion don't quote me on this) is if a cross-server LFG tool is implemented, like someone said before, there are going to be ninjas and trolls and people will be put into the mindset (for at least a week or two) that LFG content is easy and will wipe and wipe and wipe etc. that's my two credits. I know there's a guide up at the top, but i don't know how recently it's updated (or even if anything in the guide changed), but i would like to know what (in your opinions) is the best spec for a gunnery commando and its rotation also if you know the stickied guide is up to date let me know the reason i ask, is because i got into a fight with a guild officer about the spec, he kept telling me that i need to put the last 2 points into the med tree's steady hands. my spec is 5/31/3 (with two points to spend) When i told him that steady hands only applies to healing he said that i HAVE to take it because the healers might need an off heal at some strange time. Which imo seems extremely unlikely. My instinct though is telling me i should throw the last 2 points into first responder, so i can get through FA and GR faster http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#800McZMIkrordokfzZc.1 is the build so far
  14. server wide LFG tool sure, cross-server LFG tool no thanks. The reason i say this is because the cross-server tool that blizz used is so full of trolls that it's hard to get a group without one. keeping the LFG tool restricted to each individual server keeps people honest. If someone ninjas something in the server restricted LFG, they probably won't get another group that will stay with them. but if they ninja on cross-server, they know they'll never see the group again (unless they are really unlucky) and no1 knows about how they were being a jack***. this is just my stance on a LFG tool being implemented, sry if you don't agree.
  15. heh like i said, seems like when you almost kill someone 2 other people on your team suddenly appear and keep you from getting the assassain medal.
  16. the biggest problem i find when trying to 1v1 someone, is when you (or anyone else) gets the target to about 25% EVERYONE and their mother decides that they have to help you kill them (even if you have 75-90% health). While i didn't see alot of soloing in there, it seemed like if you did try and solo someone there was either A) someone coming in at about 25% and demolishing the guy. or B) they stood still for about 5 seconds (referencing the guy in the voidstar standing next to the blown open door) not bad overall, but it seemed like you clipped your videos after a single guy died. i would prolly recommend trying to get more than one kill per clip as i saw a few where you could have gotten at least 2 if not 3 but couldn't be sure because it went to another clip. keep trying, and give them imps what for .
  17. at least on my server the eastern turret still fires twice when the imps capture it. reason i know is because pubs captured west it fired once after about 4 seconds or so, imp captured east after the the pub's turret had fired and the pub ship went to 590 and the imp ship was still 595. but yes at least on my server if an ops group of 8ish pubs go to ilum they generally are capable of holding off 12-16 imps. that is until the real pvp guild on my server (imp side) shows up, then we need even numbers to beat them
  18. that's incorrect, have fought the boss down the stairs where you entered the room, still had 50 or so clones spawn. so having the origional come out or stay in does not matter.
  19. the boss name is the interrogator (think that's how it is spelled) and the bug usually occurs on commandos and bounty hunter equivalent. When he selects those classes he will start spawning 50 clones of the player making the boss unkillable unless that person takes a step out of the instance and lets the rest of the group kill him without him/her. And no that boss is not fixed. the patch that was supposed to fix it didn't. wow my T key isn't working well
  20. this would be an interesting idea, but what gear would drop? Rakata? kinda takes away the entire point of doing operations. edit: completely failed at reading entire post
  21. you can do any of the lower level flashpoints it's just going to be alot easier for you and you prolly won't get xp.
  22. the mobs do have shields that reflect damage, so if he hit the mob (by some stretch of the imagination) for about 6k each time and the shield was up, it's very possible he wrecked himself within the time span of 4 seconds (might seem like 1 just because of reaction time and time to look shockered as his health plummeted into the ground)
  23. what's annoying is they fixed bulwark being interrupted (which i never knew you could do) and bulwark's cone attack. so. . . um, about the extremely bugged mini?-boss just a couple rooms over? you know, the one who spawns a hundred freaking adds? i've found that if you pull mister interragator (or however it's spelled) back to the door you entered, you can dps the boss and also LoS any adds. This is especially useful because all the adds take 10-15 seconds to get there and not only that, if there are a ton of them incoming have someone knock them back, hope the extra 5 seconds is enough, if not jump down and run quickly. please note, this can also help with killing multiple adds as well had one instance where i got cloned 7 times on my commando healer and after the sage CCed 2 on the way in i CCed a third (while getting knocked to about 1/4 health) and stunning another, we managed to barely kill the 3 adds that made it, then the stunned one and finally killed the boss before our CCs broke. btw i died edit: typo
  24. reread your post, i think that might be fine, but i would wonder how the dying and being zoned out and have to zone in would be dealt with. >.> please put respawn points inside the dang flashpoints, i don't like loading the planet just to reload the flashpoint <,< As long as they keep the flashpoint finder restricted to the individual server i'd be happy with it. as soon as they make it cross-server is when the game starts going down hill.
