  1. Ok so I am a Sith as you can tell and just made my first warrior sith race. I have Vette with the shock collar and know soon a cutscene will happen with her asking to have it taken off. I do enjoy the occasional shock when she smarts off, but I know if I leave it on it makes crew skills harder. So anyone else know other pros and cons of the collar staying on or being taken off? Also, being sith race I have the ability to punish my companions. I haven't used it so can anyone explain that ability and its pros and cons.
  2. That is because you aren't a tank in Vigilance, you are a Dps. Tank is the first tree known as "defense" and if you want to be a good tank you aren't going to do much damage, you take damage and you keep the enemies attention on you and thus you need to keep yours and your companion's gear up to date as much as possible (I am a guardian DPS and I was a tank first. The guardians have a bug I here on tanks, but they make great DPS players) My advice, don't tank, its not for beginners go DPS then your only job is protect the healer (s) and take out the adds and kill whatever gets in your way.
  3. I got the security key thinking the items would be awesome since they made a actually device to enter it in with and honestly I am very disappointed. Thank it will ever get better?
  4. Bounty hunters def rock. I have a sith and jedi account, but right now my Bounty Hunter is proving to be more fun. He is on Port Nowhere btw.
  5. I have battled this topic a lot and honestly I have found a root to this. Relativism and religion. This whole mentality of, "what is true for you, might not be true for me." is a society defeating worldview. We have come to the point, at least def in America where saying something is true doesn't mean it is absolutely true. Absolutes are out the window. As to religion, take the major ball hitter in our society, Christianity. People use to stand up and claim it was absolutely true, C.S. Lewis makes a good argument of that in Mere Christianity. As years have passed on, Christians have watered down their beliefs and made them socially acceptable. What I know about Jesus, the one who started it is he was a rebel and would say radical things and was even killed for it. Anywho, back to relativism. This whole way of thinking of people's feelings are the most important thing is hurting us as a race. I am a Philosophy major and I know for sure you can argue against someone' point of view without hurting them or attacking them. It is all about how you deliver your material. As a society, however, as a whole we have stopped talking and let the Government take control and tell us what to do and thus we have stopped thinking deeply for ourselves. Sure, everyone thinks, but critical thinkers are hard to come by. Have hope though, I have been looking at our generation lately (about 16 to 29) and you find a lot more critical thinkers on the rise. You see people asking questions and even saying things are wrong and need to change. I just fear if it is too late for us as a nation to be changed or if our parent's generation has screwed us over. Those are some my thoughts, I am a bit sick right now so my logic isn't that deep or detailed.
  6. They already have that, it is called the ignore button.
  7. I have been asking that question myself all my life. I have always had a weakness for their accents lol.
  8. oooo I do wish you guys were on Port Nowhere. I have a Bounty Hunter that I think would fit perfectly in such a guild.
  9. Agreed with this point, I sometimes even turn chat off since I think it makes lag go down a bit. I am probably wrong.
  10. I know right? I totally deal with this too, about how sexy my voice is, that I sound like a young Sinatra! Sorry I love the random humor. I am sorry you feel that way and it is true, when a guy hears a girl playing a game they get taken aback. I personally sometimes do when the character is a guy avi, but the person behind it turns out to be a girl, but to say stuff like cybering or hit on you is low. I believe wholeheartly that us men need to step back and relearn the art of Chivalry and being a true gentleman (I am not referring to the ones who go to "gentleman's clubs" those are pigs, not men.") Stand up for yourself, but remember to treat others as you would like to be treated. So many times I have seen women speak about justice and rights, but then turn around and contradict that by not allowing a guy the same rights and justice. Food for thought.
  11. Was that necessary? We need to learn to get along with our fellow man or we lose our humanity. Also, you make yourself look more as a fool when you react that way. He who argues with a fool makes himself more the fool.
  12. I have worked with mentally handicapped people in my life (actually trying to get a job right now doing just that to hold me over while in college.) Personally, I know you must have a lot of compassion and Patience in dealing with people with mental disabilities. Having said that, you could actually probably fool me (forum wise) that you are normal, you def show the signs that you are quite smart and highly functional, but I think what you had to deal with is advice we could all use. Sometimes we try to say stuff, even with good intentions and we just say it in a wrong way. No one is a perfect speaker. So maybe some stuff you were saying you saw as harmless and unoffensive, but others didn't see it that way. I know I have a problem with that a lot. I am very blunt sometimes and then other times sarcastic. My main advice, look at this as only a game. Don't stop yourself from making friends, but don't take things as a personal attack on you or your character as a person. We all make mistakes even when we were def. not meaning too. Find a new guild and just be yourself. Some people will hate you, but then some will love you so if you are being yourself then they love you for you and not a fake.
  13. Wow, a bit harsh. I personally am never like that on my Jedi account (Lanax) which is on server Master....something something. On my sith and bounty hunter accounts (xalan and Nalax) I can come off as a jerk since I love playing the part and usually if you really read what I say you can tell I am joking around. They are both on Port Nowhere. Ya, join a guild.
  14. True true, I just see it like this. A smuggler is on the Republic side, but they do jobs for hutts and sith too, so why not the same for a bounty hunter? lol
