  1. If you watch the Hope video, rewatch some of the SW:TCW fights, as well as Luke Skywalkers confrontations with his father. To say nothing of Mace Windu's lightsaber techniques, and especially Obi Wan's fight with Darth Maul, the Jedi fight with a lot more passion and fury than they'd like us to know In short, they are total participants at some level in using the dark side of the force. I'm always surprised when some Sithy Fanboi assumes that they're going to get stomped by their opponent just because they're a Sith.
  2. I leveled an operative to 60, love my operative, but I want to do a sniper. I know what to do as far as questing and the like. But as far as spec, what my best DPS rotation is as I progress... I can figure a lot of it out, but I'd like to get some input from some veteran snipers to enrich the mind of my lil level 16 sniper as he goes forth on his big adventure.
  3. Right, so why would we nerf the entirety of weaving just because the basket spec is OP?
  4. I agree with you in principle, you're right, it is easier to mask weak game play in a larger environment., I've been playing MMO's since '07, I get that class balance is nearly impossible, and I think it's fine. You're right, this PVP system is very casual friendly and a lot of casuals are out of practice as far as PVP goes, and I accept that and move on, try to do what I can to help my team win. I love PVP and play it a lot. Those things are facts of life and I live with them and I still enjoy PVP and I almost never complain about it. No, what offends me is the guy who, instead of trying to help his/her team mates sits there in WZ chat whining and belittling and just general being...The only word that comes to mind is pitiful. If someone was as great as they say they are and can carry a team to victory they would never lose right? WZ's aren't lost because people are stupid, or suck, or any of the other vile spew that PVP based frustration engenders. There's a winner, and there's a loser, one team has to be better than the other. Just because the match doesn't go your way isn't because you EVEN YOU were unable to save the unwashed scrubs from being less than human, it's because the other team won...period. I'm not a PVPer to the level of guys who are able to compete in those micro matches, I admit it freely, it's not the end of the world and I am sometimes pleasantly amazed watching people be really good at this, or any game. I'm not QUITE quick enough on the draw for arena matches, I know that to be a weakness of mine and I try to avoid situations where I am weak. But I do well in WZ's, I love WZ's, and I would never dream of taking a part of the game away from somebody else because I don't play it well. And I would hope that the arena players on my team would think of that as an act of consideration on my part. But don't sit there and call the entire team a bunch of vile names because the match sucks, if you see someone doing something by all means call them out. But I promise, it is highly unlikely that the whole team sucks except you. I just play out the match, help out where I can, and move on, win or lose without calling peoples mothers filthy names etc. I don't understand why anybody else would do otherwise. And what? Sense of entitlement? Yeah, it's the whole insulting attitude that annoys me, more than anything else. EDIT: When I say "guys", it's not because I think there are no awesome chick PVPers. It's just what I happened to type.
  5. I actually think civil war would be awesome on a larger map and 2 more objectives arranged around mid. It reminds me of Arathi Basin in WOW, which is hands down my favorite BG/WZ. Objective based, large map, potential for crazy combat.
  6. Interesting how all the "cool kids" assume they are carrying the team.
  7. Yeah, at the same time it's not hard to mistake some abilities for hacks, I have asked myself before if I had seen one. I just never decided I had, and reported it.
  8. Any damage that does not occur very close to an objective is at best incidental, and at worst, detrimental.
