  1. Servers will be down from 3am EST to 7am EST so not that big of a deal, it's probably a nice time for you to get some sleep from spamming these forums the last few days and hopefully you'll get to play before then too!
  2. Your account says it was created in December, so you must be confused. Go check your code redemption section under My Account to see when you actually redeemed your code. I'll bet money it's after Dec 2nd!
  3. Double Darn. Woke up checked the forums and it said the last wave ended on the 29th and was 58 minutes earlier, get all excited that I'm force sensitve or something for waking up 5 minutes before what I thought would be my wave. Only to find the next wave stops on Dec 2nd and I'm Dec 3rd. Darn Darn Darny Darn Darn. COME ON 7th WAVE!!!
  4. At least everyone who hasn't gotten into Early Game Access yet can sleep well knowing this game was made by EA and that all of the developers had to work 60 hour weeks under horrible deadlines and massive amounts of stress and will likely be canned as soon as EA doesn't have use for them. Am I right?
  5. D'aww yea Dec 3 here too. Who's excited to be the last wave with me?
  6. A drunk MMO population is a happy MMO population. I whole heatedly agree with these provided solutions. However, I would prefer a nice rum instead of whiskey, and I feel like the honey badgers would need to be recorded for full effect. Thanks for the humor it was a great change from the whining on these god forsaken forums.
  7. I mean they run the servers, they know what they can take, they should have data on how long it takes people to clear the starting zones, they should be able to offer a conservative guesstimate that would take some serious catastrophe to not be able to meet the given timeline. Then everyone gets a pleasant surprise when they get their email ahead of schedule.
  8. I mean why would we flame him? He's giving us the information we've been craving from BioWare in a nice concise way. The lack of nerd rage here just goes to show that with minimal effort BioWare could make everything run a lot smoother. Tell us whats going on, the whole shroud of mystery is just silly and irritating.
  9. I'm not going to argue that logic much, yes most of the people complaining are insufferable illiterates who didn't read the UP TO part of 5 Days Early Access , or didn't bother to click the link and read what determined the order of early access. But it's not incredibly difficult to treat undesirable people with respect enough that they will stop complaining. Sure there will still be greifers and QQers, but I feel like a lot of the tension in the forums could be pretty easily alleviated with minimal effort. Maybe it's like someone said earlier, this is just my first MMO launch and I thought it would be perfect, but come on it's my first time! I'm going to go drink myself into a coma now though, wake me up when my early access is ready.
  10. I'm not entitled to anything, but it's just good customer service. I want to see this game succeed and do well and I want to enjoy it, but it's hard to do that when the general mantra is you'll find out in an email 20 minutes after you can play that you can play and we don't care enough to tell you when that will be sooner, because well math is hard and we don't feel like reading server numbers to get a generalized idea when you could get in. There are so many missed opportunities here by BioWare and EA to make Early Game Access be as awesome as it should be, and they aren't doing diddly. People are mad and they have every right to be, that's something they should fix as quickly as possible. In before I'm told to QQ and whine more.
  11. The whole launch is already a horrid mess, I can't imagine talking to your customers so they feel like they aren't being ignored could possibly make things worse. I mean if the nerd rage levels really increased in here, which I'm not so sure is even possible, at least they tried putting water on the fire instead of just waiting for it to burn itself out. I mean just do something, send an apology, give away a neat in-game item to people who only get a day or two of early access, I don't care anything would be better than what they are doing now, just do something!
  12. If they honestly don't have enough data on their own servers to come up with at least somewhat decent timetable they've got more problems than the launch going poorly. Think about it though, over shoot everyone's times greatly so it would take a catastrophic failure for them not to get in by that time. People leave the forums since they have a clue as to what is going on instead of running around like headless chickens posting how much they hate BioWare Staggered Launches and EA. The when things inevitably go ahead of schedule because the time table was probably garbage and lies to begin with, I get a pleasant surprise in my email saying yay we are ahead of schedule! Then BioWare looks great for being ahead of schedule, people don't constantly complain from lack of information and everything is hunky dorry.
  13. Whats wrong with time tables? It gives me an excuse to leave the forums for a while (stopping my incessant complaining) and doesn't leave me feeling like I'll miss out on something important until it says I should come back. Besides everyone loves getting things earlier then they are told, so give horrible day late estimates to everyone and I'll be thrilled to get to play Friday if I was told Saturday instead of feeling like I'm lost in the dark this whole week wondering when I'll get a chance to play.
  14. Trolling whining and complaining aside. The staggered launch is a double bladed sword, or light saber if you prefer, it allows for more enjoyable play for people who get in, but insane nerd rage from those who don't, because they feel the people getting in before them are going to gank them repeatedly as soon as they get the chance. And let's be honest, that's exactly why all of us bought the pre-orders, because we wanted to rain hurt down on Christmas noobs like no other to fulfill some sick Jedi or Sith Fantasy we have. And honestly, I'm not too upset about the idea of a staggered launch, but a few of the ways it's being handled really urk me. For one stopping for the day at 5pm, come on now that's just cruel and unusual and asking for a whole night of nerd rage right there. And secondly, the fact that the pre-order system is as broken as it is, it's not based on when you actually payed for the pre-order but when you got a silly code that proved you bought it. A lot of people who bought from retailers have been getting a raw deal since the pre-order codes didn't ship until way late. I luckily wasn't one of those people, but definitely feel their pain. Third, I feel like I missed a huge opportunity to play sooner just because I was poorly informed of when the game was going on pre-order, I bought it first day I found out I could, which unfortunately wasn't until the second Beta weekend. And lastly and most importantly, not knowing when you'll get to play is seriously infuriating. I know you've got to test the servers, but that's what the beta weekends were for, you know what they can take and I seriously hope you have some data of how long it takes people to clear the early zones. With that little bit of information it shouldn't be particularly difficult to send out a short little email that says "expect an invite friday" at least then I can sleep soundly knowing I don't have to check my email every twenty seconds tomorrow and the next day hoping I miraculously get in. So yes people do have plenty of reason to complain, it's a grand idea and all but the way it's being handled isn't the best, and sadly it's really rocking my faith in this game before I've even had a chance to play it again. I hope everything gets straightened out soon, but until then could you at least work out a time table of when things will be happening so there is a moderate cease in the whining?
