  1. I have two main suggestions for potential GSF itemization/vendor items (and one half-suggestion that goes with the first). [1] I would love to see a GSF vendor selling 1:1 scale decorations of the various starfighter models for either faction, like the models we see lining the hangars on the fleets, just in decoration form. These would obviously be something perhaps high-tiered/expensive, but I figure that if we've seen full-size sandcrawlers and the like become decorations already, that it wouldn't be too far of a stretch, scale-wise. [1.5] On the above note, and this is taking it a step further, but it would be pretty awesome for GSF players to potentially acquire a 1:1 scale decoration of their own customized ship that they use in GSF. Granted, this is a project that would go above just making some new items, but it would be a pretty cool sight to, say, see your GSF ship sitting at your stronghold's landing pad, or to see your guild's flagship hangar filled with your guild members' respective GSF ships. [2] My last suggestion would be to eventually see more cosmetic pilot outfits for either faction that focused on specific pilot suits for their correlating starfighter types, like: Imperial Scout Pilot Suit Imperial Bomber Pilot Suit Republic Gunship Pilot Suit etc. Perhaps primarily using a certain ship and achieving a GSF goal with it unlocks the ability to purchase the corresponding pilot outfit from the vendor. Or, if not, just having the vendor sell them for credits/points would still be great without needing to have some system for unlocking them for purchase. These are just a few ideas I had for GSF itemization in a cosmetic sense that could make for more tangible "ground game" rewards, some of them more directly reflecting a player's GSF experience and involvement.
  2. PLEASE do not make level scaling mandatory. From just an RP perspective it will make world RP that much harder. Please no.
  3. For the love of having a coherent public RP community, I'm presenting my case for not acknowledging the upcoming "time skip" in a public RP settings (as in, most of the general 'untouched' game world). Notice I said public, what you and your guild do in private events/settings is certainly up to you, hey, you can Star Trek RP with your guild if you wanna (though you'd certainly be causin' one heck of a disturbance in the Force). For those of you who don't know, the upcoming expansion for TOR, Knights of the Fallen Empire, takes places at least a few years down the line from current events in the game's overall storyline. Now, why am I advocating not acknowledging this particular leap in time, you might wonder, why this expansion and not the others? The biggest issue is the subject matter itself, and where the minor spoilers come in (it's shown in the game's trailer): The obliteration of both the Republic and the Empire, for the most part. This, coupled with the fact that, as it stands, there's no word on the game world outside the expansion actually being altered when the expansion launches, which means the Fleets will stay in tact, the planets will be fine, everything outside the actual expansion itself would seem to be untouched. That just doesn't work for RP. I'm seeing a grim future where people are approaching each other and realizing after a few posts that, oh, woops, their timelines aren't synced. It'll be the knife in the back of random/world RP, for the most part, as if strongholds didn't already knock it down a flight of stairs already. If the game world is generally unaffected for the public, if we don't all see the effects, then I say we keep it in guilds at most, or even wait for them to make any world changes before we make the RP community a bigger mess than it needs to be. I get it, though, you wanna give your character a beard or some grey hairs or wrinkles or something. You wanna kill off him or knock off her and have this, that and the other thing happen in between this skip, I understand. But for the sake of most of the RP community, which is going to explode in numbers after the new movie drops, mind you, most players going to be ghosts, just like you would be to them, fracturing everything unnecessarily if it becomes some mandate everyone tries to enforce on players in public settings. Even in private settings, it's going to completely turn off a lot of new people who thought they had some grasp on who their character is/would be, but now they have to factor in that it's years later and everything is ashes. Are we all going to collectively pretend the Fleets are fine? The Imperial/Republic soldiers and Jedi/Sith waltzing around are dead, the ships are gone? Are we all going to have to become continuity cops and talk down anyone who plays something outside the "current" everything-is-kaput storyline? The truth is, this expansion seems like the KOTOR 3 people never got, it's a singleplayer experience, through and through. And I'm not even accounting for the idea that there could be multiple endings to it (which likely won't be soon since they've stated that more installments are coming in 'episodes' more or less), how would we decipher what's the canon ending that everyone exists in? All I'm asking is, after it releases, please don't try to enforce it publicly in roleplay, it won't make sense, it'll be a headache and it'll probably cause a dwindling in the community as a whole. I personally think even guilds shouldn't really bother with it, yet, that is, but that's just my own taste, in private you do what you like amongst like-minded peers.
  4. [i'm sure a thread like this is floating around, but, I couldn't find one that was recent relating to it.] As the title suggests, I feel like TOR could greatly benefit from having more character body type options. Now, do I mean sliders? Not necessarily. In fact, I think adding sliders at this point would just be a mess, and an absolute nightmare for the modelling guys and gals. Sliders produce an upsetting amount of clipping, generally. Though, I could argue that the game has its fair share of clipping here and there already, and, as long as the sliders never went someplace ridiculous, then I, and I imagine plenty of other people, could certainly live with a little clipping if it meant we got to play a character more to our liking in terms of general shape. The more viable option would just be more body types in general. I've been sticking with TOR ever since it launched in 2011 and I think it's high time we got a few more body types than the general 4. There's plenty of roles to be filled in that regard, such as, but not limited too: Muscular/toned female that isn't quite as hulking as the current female type 3, a shorter and stockier male, a tall and lean male, and a shorter and curvier female, just to name a couple off the top of my head. It definitely would help fill in some gaps that I know exist in at least the RP community for people (like myself) who don't really have a type they relate to for a certain character or characters they play. So that's my suggestion. What do you guys think?
  5. /foldarms should actually have a pose to go with it. Arms folded, leg crossed, leaning back some. It'd be oh so helpful for all of us loners and wallflowers trying to look cool and aloof. Of course, it'd be best if it was just a constant relatively-static emote once initiated, like /chair is.
  6. I just hope someone sees it! But, then again, doesn't everyone? I don't wanna give myself more credit or anything.
  7. I figure since they have a few shuttles and default ship models already in, it'd be a nice next step to add 'em.
  8. It's a small thing but would be awesome for those who are big into GSF.
  9. As the title says, wouldn't it be pretty awesome to be able to buy at least one of your GSF ships as a decoration to put in your flagship or on your stronghold's landing pad, decals and all? I know more than a few people (my whole guild for starters) who think the idea is slick. What are your guys' thoughts on it?
  10. I thought it was a reward as a permanent mount for your guild if you conquered the planet. It looks amazing but.. who.. cares.. if you can only use it there, and it costs 10? Wow, a reskin and a buff on Alderaan or wherever while using it, huh. Woopie. Certainly didn't have the RPer in mind, is all I gotta say. Here's hoping they release more tangible variants.
  11. I have a variation already, but I'm looking for this dark gray version as a base.
  12. Hey there folks, I'm looking for one very specific piece of gear, this. If anyone out there has the schematic for this, PM me here, or mail me in-game, Imp-side on my character Syrost. I have the mats and will pay a tip, of course. I've had no luck looking elsewhere in-server thus far, so I thought I'd post an add here.
  13. Seems like they'd add it to Collections under the Events section towards the bottom, though.
  14. I noticed there's apparently no place to unlock the Kingpin Rancor for other characters, unless I'm missing something. Anyone know if there is the ability to, or if they'll work that in?
