  1. When the game first released, spawn timers were a problem in a lot of places, not only heroics. They did do a few passes over a lot of these throughout the years, and many they fixed properly by getting rid of spawning altogether and replacing it with an item to click that had a 1 min reset. Its past time they did another pass at these missions.
  2. I swear, they could put out an exclusive turd on a stick and people would whine about wanting it... Just because.
  3. They are not there because its another tool to entice users to sub. And things can be gotten around if they were on planets and fleet. I won't go into more details, but now you know.
  4. He has a ton of unique dialog. In most places on all the planets where your 1-50 companions comment about people and places, HK has a comment as well, usually funny. Though you will miss a most of this if you don't do any of the sides or are using a mount, but that's the same for all your 1-50 companions as well. He is recognised by some npcs, and he also has a part in the main planet quest line on Voss when you're dealing with the Gormak. He's a lot more special than all the muppets you get after 50 put together.
  5. I disagree somewhat, as legacy is legacy, they all do the same thing, whether it be the free space suits you get with a new character or any other. There's no need for 50 sets of them, a few sets are more than enough and the rest are wanted because they have a unique look, so having the ones from the supply crates lose their legacy status to be able to be in collections would be a great trade off in my opinion.
  6. This is a bit too contorted and unnecessary imo. This is all that needs to be done, add them to the collection system so we can retrieve them any time we like.
  7. Although there have been some variables to cause some spikes, inflation has been steadily rising simply because the amount of credits entering the system expanded. Between 1.0 and 2.0, the most you could make from dailies if you done them all every day was around 1.2 mill a week, now I have not done any math on what is possible now and including the heroics, but I think it would be safe to say the figure would be at least 10 times that amount. Also keep in mind they removed a lot of sinks that were around back then. It was always going to be inevitable that inflation would increase.
  8. And they said they were getting rid of tokens and comms because it was too confusing, and look at the contorted mess we ended up with. Plain and simply, they will say things that fit their narrative of the time, though I have no idea what you're talking about as gear that goes into your inventory? How else are you suppose to receive it?
  9. As a main tank, I was thinking thinking this may be a cool thing, like in FF14, in which I regularly queued for FPs because the rewards were good, not only for my tank, but I could also use them for my alts. The equivalent here would be Superior augments as the reward, but they are a little easier to get so not an exact equivalent. Still, its a great reward and it works really well there.
  10. Before Strongholds, it was a bit of a pain with all the mails, I'm up to 41. But since then its easy to deal with... Within seconds of making a new char, I port to the SH and stand beside the cargo hold and deal with the mails, then back to the planet.
  11. Indeed, collections do not address the big concern of a lot of people, and thats availability, there are some combos that I've wanted that simply don't exist. I did some rough math on the pallet size x 2 x the frequency of release and it was thousands of years before we would have all the combos available.
  12. Considering for most of this game's life, you've not been able to buy dyes from the market, that's quite a bold claim. No, Subscriptions and Packs are a major source of income for BW, dyes would be minor at best. And as for other people making money, they have continually shown that they don't come into the equation when making decisions about what and how they make items available, which is how it should be. As for the OP, I can't see it happening, and I would much rather then looking at ways to make the system more user friendly and increasing profits by making all dyes available all the time at set prices depending on the combos used. Or as I've suggested in the past, a dye kiosk type feature like the appearance one we already have. I quickly knocked up a rough pic to show what I mean. You select the primary, then secondary and depending on the colours used, the prices can vary and just purchase it. https://ibb.co/miSAUk
  13. Although they already had a fair bit of skill separation(cooldown times and damage amounts having different numbers), Final Fantasy 14, and their newest expansion that dropped last month completely removed all the crossover skills, so now when you enter a pvp zone, you have a new skillset, though they do play similar to the pve set you have. The game producer said its just too hard and more importantly too much work for the team to balance the same skillset for pve and pvp as changes to one can and does have negative effects to the other. An old pirate game I used to play before SWTOR was released had a similar outlook, they wanted to give some cool and fun skills to the classes, but realised they wouldn't be able to balance them in pvp, so they simply made them not work against players. When SWTOR released, all the classes had a skills(Head Shot, Tumult, Pommel Strike to name a few) that didn't work against players, only npc's, so they did understand separation prior to 2.0 here. The reason at the time for removing these was "streamlining the skills"... Make of that what you will, but its no coincidence that its when they started down the overall game simplification route.
  14. But also to be fair, its always the pvp bads that shout the loudest that drive the changes. "I killed that womp rat on Tatooine too fast/too slow" Said no one ever...
  15. But someone else started it.
  16. You could easily argue that it would halve the workload, as they wouldn't need to worry about the side effects of each change. They also would not need to re-balance PVE with every expac, as once its been set, would rarely if ever need touching again, and its reason why most other games have separation of skills, so the guys tuning pvp can do so on the fly and at will, without having to worry about breaking the game in all other areas.
  17. There's definitely some kind of RNG at play, I've had times where my health has dropped to 30% and still not knocked off, and others where a single shot from a little probe droid has sent me to the ground.
  18. It's quite interesting reading through this thread again(I'm bored), and to see all the names that are no longer around. For quite a few people, It was sort of the beginning of the end in a way, and probably for me as well now I think about it.
  19. This is the only game i've played that doesn't give you the option, and I play a lot. But what do you expect from this studio? Its exciting!
  20. Every week in FF14, the devs list their weekly haul of RMT advertisers and bots. This is last weeks report. This is from the week before. Keep in mind that this game has to be purchased and a sub to play, and is also region locked(chinese cannot get onto the US/EU servers with their cheap copies) Now, just doing some head math, that's an insane amount of money coming into the studio on a weekly basis.
  21. Opening containers resets the timer again, even months/years later. I'm surprised you didn't notice the timer on the items when hovering your cursor over them.
  22. If you listened to the Stream, they said they want to make "Story Mode" more accessible to everyone, and have the veteran and master modes for people looking for challenging content, which is how it should be. I don't think you have anything to worry about.
