  1. probably the ones playing at low Ammo count. My trooper is only level 20 but have seen those other troopers in Heroics who have almost all the time less than 50% ammo.
  2. Agreed. Its stated the the force s in anything and around anyone. Just because someone can´t use the force doesn´t mean he isn´t affected by its dark/light side.
  3. I only played Flashpoints up to Athiss (level 20 ones). But dont get that feeling. Elite fights usally take less that 5 minutes and feel pretty nice. You have time to learn the bosses moves without having to wipe. Most of them have adds to deal with or an ability that needs to break los to avoid massive damage.
  4. I look at it from another perspective. You can only put a limited number of workers into fixing a bug at the same time. If a major book takes 2 weeks to fix (inlcuding QA and all other stuff) and uses up 3 workers at a time you can use the other 47 workers of your staff to do other thinks like fixing the smaller ones. Just because those major bugs aren´t fixed yet doesn´t mean it isn´t worked on them. Especially if no Information available on the internal development structure and stuff like manpower and capacity of the departments working on the game. or the availablity of specialied workers.
  5. Such a server would be a bad idea. Imagine a server already exists and you come int 2 Months worht of playtime (since XP is capped you need 2 month playtime to get to 50. just as an example) now you are playing PvP. Youre facing lots of 50 and other players who are highlevel. Those "others level faster give me somethign to keep up" demand are pointless. Why do you have the right to get a Server with equal level starting pop. but the player who come to play 2 months later doesn´t. That doesn´t make any sense.
  6. You get to see the light side of the quests and can get Ligth sided gear. (like a sith with blue or green lightsabers or a jedi with a red one). Nothing more to it than tat i think.
  7. - No LFG Tool (been in WoW for over 2 years... absolutely baffled as to how this hasn't been developed for TOR yet) Actually no need for it yet. Never had a problem finding a group for Group stuff - Awful UI; I could make an entire thread about this (and people already have), but for the sake of brevity, I'll just restate that it's awful Pretty subjective. For me the UI does his job. - 2007 graphics (The Skybox being a 2D Painting is particularly insulting) Graphics are somewhat old yeah. But Astetics are Awesome. And for me Last thing Counts more than up to date graphics - No Day/Night Cylce Agreed. Would be cool to have one - No accessable body of water deeper than 6 inches Agreed. Maybe add a Waterplanet like the one the fishpeople live one. - Server queues (Had queues in WoW for Vanilla, BC, and Wrath but not Cata, Blizzard has evolved, BioWare has not) No issue for me. Plenty of Servers with no queue at all. (Actually fascinating how the early Access Players play on queued servers while all who came in at 18 - till now have no queue issues) - Lackluster Character Creation Yeah could be better but its a minor concern - Three Warzones, No Arenas (also consider Huttball cannot be taken seriously as Rated PvP). Again; TOR is competing with 2011 WoW (8 Battlegrounds, 4 of which can be done Rated + Arena Content) I think its a bit unfair to compare TOR with 2011 WoW. - No Macros Im a bit splitted on this. Oh the one hand i like those too. On the other hand without macros a players own skill and reaction comes into play how good the char is played. I think they should add a Macro system like the one in Rift. Its basic and not too powerful. - No addon support No concern for me. - No Dual Spec Didn´t they already announced it for a patch after launch? - Lack of variety in quests; everything is kill X amount of Y, unlike WoW where they've added a lot of variation (for better or for worse) in the quests, which makes leveling feel less grindy Actually the Dialog stuff evens that out for me. They are not similar for me because for the first time in mmos i actually "read" the quest description - Player Character repeating Dialogue from other conversations (My Sith Inquisitor has said "I'll show you what a Sith can do!" like 5 times now, and other less memorably rhyming are equally if not more common) I actually like that one. Its like a signature line for my caracter. eg. my IA likes to say "how do i fit in" - "Choices" are still just the Blue good guy option, or the Red bad guy option — this was kinda new in KOTOR, and still cool in both Mass Effects; but unimpressive today Don´t think theres much more to it. But i would prefere more neutral options givin no light or dark sided points. - No Mount until level 25; it only takes a couple hours to get your first Mount in WoW these days. No idea why this was considered a good idea You get fater movespeed at 14 so whats the big difference. In vanilla WoW it took you to 40 to get a mount didn´t it? - No Appearance/Gear Customization such as WoW's Transmogrification, or a standard MMO Appearance Tab (weird in a game where we watch ourselves talk so much) Orange gear does that fine. Dont see a problem here. - No Barbershop for minor character recustomization (again, weird in a game where we watch so much of our character speaking) agreed would be nice. like hair and stuff Points i left out i have nothing to say to. I would like to add a point: -No Accountbound/Factionbound Friendlist and guild membership like in GW It was awesome in GW. So why so i have to invite all my twinks into my guild or add all my friends from the friends list again while playing a twink - No Import function for Keybindings and Settings like in Rift Having to rebind my keys on every new character is bad.
  8. Im glad i rerolled on a no queue server. Was on a Server with a queue of only 600-1000 people. Now i can login whenever i want.
  9. Im just a level 12 Marauder yet but tested some PvP and i think i can see where the Marauder is going in terms of gameplay. In comparison to my sniper (level 24) the marauder is a lot more harder to play. But not harder as in he deals less damage as in harder to acually manage the class and skills. Sniper = crouch + ambush + probe. snipe snipe snipe. rinse an repeat and handling the energy. (Its abit more than that but not that much). With my marauder i have to hanndle Rage, Fury, Situational abilitys and the defensive abilitys like cloak and stuff. Even my sith assasin was easier to learn. In PvP the lack of CC is pretty hard but with cloak of pain and saber ward you get pretty surviveability (especially when used together). But even with my level 11-12 toon my Damage was pretty good. I think the diffitulty difference in playing the marauder and other Classes is the Problem why people think marauder is UP. The soloability of a Class doesn´t say much of its power. Just because a Sorc can handle 3 golds with CC and destroy one after another doesn´t really mean that the class is stronger than other classes.
  10. No problem as Sniper here. But have to say i have like no Comparison because i haven´t played other classes that much. But Player skill in playing his class is vital. Maybe youre just bad paying as Sniper?. Had a similar experience with a Friend. Sith Inquisitor the quest where you get your companion. We both wehre similar equipped and about the same level. I was about 25% faster in the quests than my friend and he even got killed at the last boss where i had no problems defeating him.
  11. I think you misunderstand Tranq Shot. Its a 60 Sec stun (if no damage) Sure it fills the bar more than a 4 sec stun. If not a target could be out of combat for a total of 120 seconds (assuming youre playing in a team and use 2 peaople to stun them) before it gets a resolve breakout. Its a pretty stron stun.
  12. I dont think they are OP. i doubt they have the best burst. As sniper im able to burst more. Abmush + probe = 5k hits right at end of abush. But i think they have the best AOE things like flamethrower or mortar rounds do pretty good dmg And they can obly be tanky OR have heals. Heavy armor still makes them hard to kill buy they aren´t really tanky.
  13. As sniper i have a pretty hard time Agains assasins if they get close. Stun and knockback are our worst enemys. Out of cover were nearly useless. No Snipe, no Ambush and no probe. Our Strongest skills. And we have pretty long cast times.
  14. The blue not reuseables are better than the Purple ones. I didn´t know about the biochem requirement until a Friend couldn´t use the pack i gave him. Its the same for stims. I think all recipes have a reuseable purple version. The biochem requirement explains the very low chance of getting purple goods from diplomacy.
  15. I want to note that the Reusable Biochem Items can only be used by people who have biochem. e.g. a level 16 medkit needs biochem 50 to be used. And the Purple versions in biochem are not better than the blue ones. e.g. blue medkit 850-1000 health + 550 over 30 secs. Purple one: 850-1000 health. but is not consumed
