  1. One would think that before adding this as a requirement to what, at its core, is PVE content, they would have had someone look over the complaints WoW gets every time Children's Week or Winter's Veil come around, or when the Legendary Cloak in Mists of Pandaria required PVP. Back before mounts were account-wide in WoW, I completed School of Hard Knocks twice in one day, which meant PVPing for 8 hours straight. I was so glad that I had already gotten With a Little Helper From My Friends earlier that year in Wintergrasp (where it was pretty easy to get those 50 kills without losing the buff thanks to people swarming one specific wall, and a few Chain Lightnings). I honestly didn't PVP again until the Legendary Cloak fiasco, which was made worse by the fact that one of the required BGs was poorly designed in favor of one particular starting point. I flat out stopped playing for almost 2 months because I was so frustrated. I gave SWTOR PVP a go when I first started, and it wasn't for me. Now, I'm staring at the one PVP match I've participated in since KotFE started, and I just can't stomach the thought that I might have to go through another 19. I want Pierce and Forex, I really do. I probably will eventually slog my way through the matches, but I won't enjoy it, and I'm pretty darn certain that the PVP-ers would prefer to have literally anyone but me on their team since I don't PVP well at all. Guess I just get to be bait for the other team.

  3. It's been awhile, but at my job, we ran a promotion that said "X item is limited time and exclusive for doing X, Y, and Z". Legally, because it was labeled as being for that specific thing, we could not ever release it again. Of course, we only found out about that after legal issues because we did release it again. So yeah, you're SOL, and it's not BioWare's fault you couldn't go to a public library for the 20 minutes (max) it would take to make this a non-issue.
  4. This reminded me of my biggest worry, which is that they'll "Virmire Survivor" or "Thane" the romances in KotFE. I'm already nervous about how the reunion with Jorgan is going to go with my FemShep... er FemTrooper. For all Jorgan knows, she's been swanning around in Wild Space for the past five years. I swear to Pete, if he goes all Kaidan/Ashley on her, I may throw my monitor. For the less-popular romances, like Andronikos, I'm afraid they'll fall to the wayside while work is being done with the more popular companions that are returning, much like what happened with the Thane Krios romance in ME3. It sort of got pushed to the wayside, then cut short while the work was being invested in the bigger name romances.
  5. I was also disappointed that there wasn't even a throwaway "I was worried about you" from Theron for Chapter 10. One of the things I brought up at the Community Cantina at SDCC last year was the utter lack of any interaction with vanilla LIs. For my SI main, she had romanced Andronikos and got married/engaged about 5-6 months into the game, and now, 4 years later, not a single moment with Nik other than telling him to get the Fury to Sith space during Chapter 1 of KotFE. I had been all pumped up for Chapter 10, wondering where the romance with Theron would go on my free 60, and not even a "Hi honey, welcome home"? The romance is, for quite a few people, a good portion of our character's story. Please don't (in the words a Mass Effect friend uses) Thane any of the romances, or dismiss them as un-necessary or not part of the story.
  6. I for one, as a Founder and a sub without more than a 2 hour lapse since launch, am glad of this change. Now I don't have to deal with losing gear for my SI to SWs who are trying to get better gear for "Jeesa". I lost upgrades in flashpoints and even an op or two to people who needed on it for their frickin companion. Also, I want to play and have fun with my character, not spend time grinding comms to gear my companion. Just my 2 credits.
  7. Can confirm that the Fountains are still loud as heck. It wouldn't be so bad if I weren't using my SH for all my GTN needs. The sound is driving me batty.
  8. All I can think about now is Empress Nympho from "History of the World Part 1". Could you please step on the same foot at the same time!
  9. Funniest line for me is from Andronikos' marriage proposal I laughed so hard I was crying.
  10. I see your pew pew, raise you a pew pew, and top it off with a bang-bang!
  11. To recap for those just joining us: OMG so much content for me! Thank you! OMG, no content for me, no thank you! Finally, we get what everyone's been asking for! You rock! What? Who asked for this? This sucks! Everyone will play the heck out of this! No one will play this! And my own reaction: Oh, that looks pretty cool. PvP isn't generally my cup o' tea, but I'm going to give this a try because it might be fun.
  12. If you're collecting them all on one character, once you have the whole set, you can reclaim the armor from the Collections as many times as you want on that character. It's how I would store the sets, unless you're modding them or something like that. I also find that my companions are very handy mannequins.
  13. Officer Mannus from the Dromund Kaas Bounty quests is a Chiss cyborg. I'd like a Cyborg customization option for other species as well. Maybe not as many options as the original Cyborgs have, but something!
  14. I don't think this is so much a cry for more content, but more CLASS-SPECIFIC content. The only reason SWTOR has a stranglehold on my wallet and my free time over WoW is that, despite the same basic missions every planet, I get a whole storyline I've never played when I start a new class. Class missions are why I fell in love with this game, and knowing that the class-specific missions are most likely dead breaks my little Sithy heart.
  15. My favorite convo was when Andronikos asked my SI to marry him. I was laughing so hard I was crying and having trouble breathing.
  16. I've personally always had this scene going in my head where the Wrath is going Wile E. Coyote on the Inquisitor just trying to kill them, and the Inq keeps standing up and dusting themselves off, and sighing, "How many times do I have to tell you, I don't seem to be able to die?"
  17. Thank you! And those expansions were a minimum of at least $30. That was in addition to the sub. I understand that a metric butt-ton of content came with it (and the subsequent bugs that EQ/EQ2 launches were plagued by), but I feel 600 CC is fair, considering SOE charges $20 for the Freeblood race on top of your sub. If you save your free SC from your sub, it'll take you 4 months. Here, assuming you don't have a Security Key, it'll take you all of two.
  18. Snip You get that NOW. If I remember correctly, when EQ and EQ2 started, you had to buy the expansion the race was from to get the race. Even now, the Freeblood race in EQ2 has to be purchased.
  19. Same here. Gave it up on my Sorc (even have rocket boots), and I was still dying because there is something with the jump controls in this game where I never seem to be able to jump consistently. I was either not jumping at all, or hitting the ledges then dropping.
  20. I'm making a brand-new character for my Cathar, so I don't have to worry about that.
  21. I'm pretty sure that it was stated in one of the other threads that Cathar will cost 600 CC. I get that in one month just because I sprung for the 6 month recurring sub. To top it off, I use the iPhone security key, and get another 100 CC a month. So 700 CC a month, and all I need to do is not spend it on Packs or character slots (I'm a terrible altoholic), and bam, I have my Cathar Smuggler.
  22. I posted this in another thread, but I feel it should be seen here. The jump controls in SWTOR have a delay that makes it nearly impossible for me to jump accurately in puzzles. No, I don't think it's my computer, I have tested my jump precision in WoW, EQ2, 2 kids' games I play with my nieces, and a beta test I'm in. I can jump and get around just fine in those games, but in SWTOR, I have to pray that my character even jumps when I hit the spacebar.
  23. My main is a healy sorc, and no I didn't realize. I did the questline within a few days of it being released, and there was no mention of this in any of the guides I read. That also doesn't address the fact that there is something seriously wrong with the responsiveness of the jumping mechanic.
  24. I would probably give them my paychecks for a year if they would make the controls more responsive. I'm working on Shroud of Ruin right now on DK, and I've been at it for almost an hour because I can't get the jumps to fire when I hit the spacebar. I know it's not my computer, because I tested in WoW, EQ2, 2 games my nieces play, and even a beta test I'm in, and my jumps fire as I hit the spacebar. Half the time when I hit the spacebar, I don't even jump. Edit: Don't even ask how long it took to get the jumping for HK-51 done. I'm buying that POS Droid from now on.
