  1. Well we're not going to be able to have a discussion then, as we have a fundamental disagreement there. Sorry.
  2. Giving gunships LLC instead of BLC is tantamount to removing close-range weapons from gunships, simply because there is no good close range weapon other than BLC for a ship type that cannot choose its approach. LLC on a gunship is worthless. The problem with BLC balance mostly isn't the weapon itself, but the cooldowns attached to it.
  3. Ship requisition is sufficient for ship type records. Missing entries are from corrections, mostly duplicates (from alts) that were discovered from the old lists. If a spot is open, go grab it! And perusing the list again, not sure why I didn't claim this old record, but here it is. Scout domination: Xi'ao - Sting - Domination - The Shadowlands - 99,524 damage
  4. Records updated and issues corrected. Thanks for the catch Danalon.
  5. TDM (enemy to 50) Xi'ao - Mangler - Domination - The Shadowlands - 28/29 Kills+Assists (96.6%)
  6. The scout records are well within the top range of what has been seen before. There is a requisition reward showing for the 37 kill record, which is fine (Fleet is always 1/10th of Ship, and it's 171 vs 1718, so it's fine). I can't give out a scout-section dps record unless there's a perf tab screenshot, because there's no requisition reward showing in the shot provided. Sorry. If you have one post the link and I'll give you the record for the scout section. As for the bomber one - ***? I am baffled by how that worked. The number isn't unbelievable, though it's shockingly high for a bomber (previous record was 190 something). The surprising part is how little damage and how few kills+assists went into it. Plus no drones out at the end. I'm really very curious how that match went. And, if I'm interpreting this google translate right, you take payment for focusing someone so much that they will quit a match early? That's sort of messed up. I'm not sure if it's in a good or bad way. Has anyone ever actually paid for this "service" - your server must have a really odd gsf culture.
  7. The best way to kill Drak is to set traps around DOs. It's questionable if it's better for your team than getting them yourself, but it's super fun to ion rail him just as he gets to it!
  8. I saw two of the various toons from this guild in a wargame yesterday. Mesas domination - I set up right outside the spawn and watched them. They would spawn, fly straight until they collided with the first canyon wall and die. Firing on them got no reaction whatsoever. No attempts to evade, boost, or maneuver at all. They ended the match with zero shots fired, zero damage dealt, and deaths only from me when I was on their spawn, with the rest from smacking into the environment.
  9. Ton of enemies glomming onto one sat, then the next, then another again. Pub side had C locked down, and their entire 12 man team would cycle from B to A. I should know, because I was running the beacon minelayer that with 1 or two other people on the node kept things actually capped while red dots were flailing at us. Cap B, stabilize, notice A losing turrets, boost to A, drive them off, cap, stabilize, notice B losing turrets, boost to B. The whole match. Lai'tish was chasing their gunships and harassing anyone that came close, I would lay mines and stay alive, and most of the rest of our team was shooting into the scrum, which helped the rest of us to stay alive but really made it frantic because we didn't have enough bodies actually piling on the nodes. Desponn's screenshot doesn't show the part where I was yelling in ops chat to "get out of your gunships and get on the damn node." This after the 5th or 6th time I had boosted from one of B to A to salvage the other node and prevent an enemy 2-cap. I think I was typing as I finally got killed off of B and then the node went neutral immediately because I was the only one in range. I ended the game by spawning on A to make sure we would win (just needed one node to wait the timer down at that point).
  10. I think his high survivability is largely due to power dive on the Condor. Everything else is mostly irrelevant to survivability for that ship. I can't possibly believe that, absent power dive spam, his ship is harder to kill with feedback than with distortion. This is not niche, it should be one of the gold standard builds.
  11. To be honest, I don't care about conquest, credits, or any of that. I just want a good match. And the bad actors from this one guild are not simply bad pilots - 0s across the board, except deaths, which are almost all self destructs. Even the worst pilots will at least attempt to shoot. Bad pilots are fine, but the depths of wasted life that this kind of behavior suggests is really annoying and somewhat disturbing.
  12. Well, I suppose I can pocket my sub then. If there's nothing to save req for, my current 5million should be more than sufficient without the subscriber boost.
  13. Some examples: http://fractalsponge.net/swtor/swtor 2015-01-21 22-41-34-64.jpg http://fractalsponge.net/swtor/swtor 2015-01-20 22-12-04-71.jpg http://fractalsponge.net/swtor/swtor 2015-01-15 15-34-48-97.jpg http://fractalsponge.net/swtor/swtor 2015-01-21 22-41-34-64.jpg http://fractalsponge.net/swtor/swtor 2015-01-20 22-12-04-71.jpg Occasionally an ace can carry the match, sometimes they can't. But it sorta screws the experience for everyone but the botters/farmers. The winning side doesn't get as good a match as they could've gotten, and the losing side is carrying a huge millstone towards the finish line. Reporting doesn't seem to really do very much, unfortunately.
  14. Source: his ***. Seriously, *** is the point of even posting a wild claim like that (low or high)? No one but BW has the data.
  15. Domination and gunship domination: Xi'ao - Mangler - Domination - The Shadowlands - 42 Kills + Assists
  16. Like I mentioned in the OP, they will self-destruct to avoid vote kick. Death resets the non-contributing timer.
  17. There's been a rash of people from one guild on Shadowlands imperial side just spawning into matches and doing exactly nothing except self-destructing to avoid vote kick. I suspect this is to farm conquest points or credits. Anyone seeing this on other servers?
  18. Some of it is also faction balance. Even those who group queue on a weaker side encounter more losses, because you can't always control everyone you're match with in a team of 8 or 12.
  19. Gunship walls are common because it's easier to set up, requires less coordination than a team of 8 scouts, and is pretty good at farming bad players. All very good reasons for pugs to gravitate towards that team composition. But at the same level of skill with the same coordination, 8 scouts will absolutely win over 8 gunships, every single time.
  20. You play at the oddest times. Who are these guys? Anyway, nice job
  21. In general, you should queue with other people. The matchmaker will prioritize starting matches rather than working on a first-in first-out system, so it will preferentially match groups in order to get a game going faster. So, even if they aren't friends or aces, being in a group will improve your gsf experience. I would suggest whispering some of the better pilots you meet in match to see if they are continuing to play and want to group. Also, type /cjoin gsf on either faction to join the custom gsf chat. If you are on Imperial side, you can group with me (Xi'ao) if I have space (and I can ever get out of my stronghold).
  22. This time of day you should queue impside for a good match. I, sadly, am currently trapped in my stronghold
