  1. I suspect this has to do with them not wanting to push a patch out (due to time/money/QA costs) than anything else. It's easier to just patch the server, than the client.
  2. As per the title, I think the last time I really played SWTOR was 2013 or so. So I was wondering If there is a list of the order I should do the story missions in? I'm a Bounty Hunter and just hit 60 last night, the XP boost going on it really nice. I'm rather confused between all these flashpoints and ops and whatnot, I think I've finished my class story (but the loading screen on login still talks about it?) and then I followed the purple markers and (Spoiler) killed darth malgus when he tried to take over the Empire, the next thing my log is telling me is to do the Rise of the Hutt Cartel thing, is that right?
  3. Do you have any proof of that? Or is this just your theory?
  4. I would also like to know where all the new orange schematics are. I ran UT missions for about a day and a half after 1.2 came out, and I haven't seen hide nor hair of them. Personally I don't think their in game yet.
  5. I haven't found any of the new orange schems but I got a few crits on the old ones. I can take a SS today once the servers are up but I crafted about 5 medum armor helmets 1 of which was a crit. I also made about 7 low level chests and 2 of them had a crit.
  6. Ya know if we had a singe server like some other games (eve) we wouldn't have all these ghost town servers...
  7. Also still having this issue log-in screen still says Chapter 3...
  8. OH NO! We have to GROUP UP to do CONTENT! SAY IT ANT SO!
  9. Is the Iron Fist build still viable in 1.2? A few things were tweaked but form the looks of it its still viable. But if I knew that I wouldn't be a noob and a scrub.... So I'm asking you people. Also dose the new heat screen ability make shields more useable in PVP?
  10. That was good. Now do Sword in a Box in Gree. If you survive the translation process post it here!
  11. There is also a 15mb English Assets patch. Just an FYI for those with download limits.
  12. Yes it is you get the new orange schems from crew skills.
  13. Yea... no. Simple fact is Satellite internet is ***** for MMO's I can't even connect to the D3 beta servers. Gulid Wars and City Of Heroes both ran "ok" but SWTOR is a more modern game and uses a different form of data propagation which is why Satellite internet sucks for SWTOR. Edit This is also true.
  14. Yes I have Satellite, it sucks but theirs no other option available where I live.
  15. With a ping around 2,000 on a good day... Pain has become another part of my MMO experience. It's interesting to note that SWTOR's Ping meter can go up to six digits!
  16. First off read this thread here. To answer the question on currently available orange items(Yet again). To prepare for patch 1.2 you do not need to collect orange items(Whether they be from world/quest/operation/rewards) you can not reverse engineer these items to get their appearance. To get their appearance (Orange schematic) you have to run your respective crew skills (I. E. Underworld Trading) once patch 1.2 is out and the schematics are available. The only reason to keep orange items right now is because at some undetermined time after patch 1.2 they will be able to be reverse engineered for their schematics.
  17. If that is true it makes some sense..... If true it would mean that they can't change the schems people already have and they will have to get new schems. (What reason would there be to NOT change the current end game items?) If true it means that all end game items that drop after 1.2 are BOE both the end game items in game now and the items being added in 1.2...
  18. Your right they are BOP right now but... They WILL BE Bind On Equip in 1.2, which is what that post is talking about. Because your right. At this moment these items have no use, that is why their changing them.
  19. Yes, at least I think so. Some where this is stated or at least implied by a dev post, I can't remember which one though. We know for a fact that the new orange items can be, it would make no sense for the old ones not to be. the point of these changes is to add variety, not take away. Also keep in mind that you don't need an augment slot to use an orange item for the look. If you like the look of an item use it! It will/can be equal to the current end game items in 1.2. Augments just make it better than them in addition to having the look you want.
  20. Ok so to answer your question RodneyMcNeely, No. Teykos your right the list is only for the new endgame items. Hopefully at some point in the future this system will realize its full potential.
  21. Yes that is true about orange items. The reason they don't want us gambling with them is because they were unique as Each character can only get one. Reverse engineering is supposed to take multiple tries and on top of that they can't allow that as people have already completed those quests and either not taken the item or have taken it and subsequently sold it; these people would whine and cry in holler to all hell if they found out these items were now useful to them in some way. The question is whether items that were never orange to begin with will have an orange schematic available. In essence the mass-produced items, the basic blue/green items that armor/sinth can make, people want orange schematics for those items as well. As far as I can tell those items are not covered under what you quoted.
  22. See this is still not clear. Alltho the header on the list says end game item the forth bullet point simply says non-modded whereas the fifth specifically states end game items. So what RodneyMcNeely is asking (I think) is whether or not he will be be able to get an orange schematic for the green/blue schematics he already has. And there is no clear answer to that question. If the bulleted list is only referring to end game items answer is no, if however he was talking in a broader sense the answer is yes. My personal interpretation of it is that currently available orange items that do not have an orange schematic will have a schematic available from crew skills. This does not include green/blue items that do not have an equivalent orange schematic.
  23. Darn I think your right. I guess they don't want anybody cornering the market on this stuff then. Makes sense I suppose, wish they'd be a bit clearer about it though.
  24. Ok I think I've got it now. If you read this (which can be found here.) Emphasis mine. This tells me that.... 1. Orange items that you get as drops either World/Chest/Op/Quest Reward have NO use in 1.2. (However they may have use latter on 1*) 2. All current orange items that drop as World/Chest/Op/Quest Reward now have a schematic that is obtainable from crew skills. (2*) 3. Their is very little you can do right now to prep for 1.2 You have to wait for the new schematics to be added so that you can craft them to get the orange item with the appearance that you want with an augment that will make it better than what the purple gear you have now. 4. However items that are NOT modifiable CAN be RE to learn their appearance schematic. So collect the trash greens/blues that have the look you want. (ITS NOT CLEAR IF THE LEARNED SCHEMATIC IS MODIFIABLE OR NOT.) (4*)
