The only way out of this mess is to make the need option unavailable unless the item is usable for your class and add a companion button so everyone can roll for companions... the need of a real player should come first... and not the need to sell in the AH.

I agree OP it is... and a sub losing problem especially when they book an 8 hour slot for it then muck something up and have to pull another 4 hours.. then a further 2... Sloppy very sloppy all that's being fixed is what they've broken... considering there are still bugged class quests and bugs that have been around since beta...

Or the ones smart enough that they can see what's happening in a game perfectly well without them....

Another conviently timed *emergency* patch for the US Separate the damn maintenence times! Plus how long are they going to continue the pattern of breaking something for someone everytime they apply a patch......

A simple dungeon finder is not going to help you then is it.... Server population.... times you play.... The only way it possibly would if it was cross-server I'd be suprised if cross server ever happens...

Instant gratification generation... I'd like to know what ppl actually want to do... It's all take me from A to B instantly with one click... Don't make me kill X number of mobs.... Don't make me run from A to B..... Why can't I find a group with one click..... Why aren't I 50 out of the box....... All of this so ppl can then complain they're bored there's nothing to do lol The list of whines is endless and if they were all just the way they wanted them they'd find another list of things to complain about. As far as I'm concerned the ship and the travel makes it feel as though I'm travelling round - one click just wouldn't do that.

That grabs me too all the *it's an emergency* patches (for which there was one fix listed today a sometime/somehow/some players disconnect issue 4 hours which over ran to 5!) they all are applied at a time designated *perfect for NA* how urgent they must be... knowing they have an 8 hour slot anyway on Tuesday.

That's hardly serious is it A: EU players would be in bed and... B: All the threads complaining how US servers need merging because their populations have declined the rogue EU player logging into your precious servers could be a good thing

Actually it's usually the graphics card dev's that need to sort it out and they can take a some time to do it too - often the problem affects just one family of cards - been there with other games.... But having had this glitch from beta through launch it's been fine for me since last patch.

Samo old same old... First scream for new servers to be added.... Then scream for server merges.... Then scream for cross realm anything....... Then scream for..... Merging servers too early is as bad as opening too many. One thing is for sure servers cost money EA won't be having anymore than needed.

I'm with you here... Blizzard started the hand-holding, spoon-feeding culture, Trion took it to previously unimaginable depths. The hope for GW2 is they'll do it their way and will not be swayed or bullied by the *pls make it just like wow or it'll die* groupies. The FTP model gives them a superior level of control. I'm hoping BW hold their nerve and keep with their game concept, and leave some level of difficulty or skill required elements in the game, but it's looking increasingly unlikely. These post that include *EVERYONE* make me laugh they generally are the most minority opinion posts of all

I don't want macro's at all say yes to one and you have to say yes to all and it's a slippery slope to one button play no skill, no brain required just mash one or two buttons for a couple of hours. Personally I prefer it challenging.

I'm with you here my biggest fear is that this game and all it's potential is turned into WOW-in-Space just because the instant gratification generation scream so loud. BW do well to remember the majority of their subscribers aren't here yelling me me me

How is it difficult to gear up companions? One thing I've found is I have way too many zone tokens anyway.. so I got modable gear for my companions pretty soon and mods are cheap 2 or 3 tokens. Quest rewards often include companion gear ... plus a variety of mods. Not hard at all. But then I also think if you need something you should need it because it's an upgrade and you can use it - ie: equip it there and then... not need for later... my pet... or the AH... If no-one needs it for themselves - then fair enough open it for companions. Useful if you agree this kind of thing in the group before you start.

I've seen it and experienced it on different machines and I think it's really pretty common - for example the Rift forums are full of posts about how high end machines have problems... WOW has/and had similar issues. Skyrim runs like a dog for a friend of mine and is great for me. The problem will be either a hardware or software environment anomally. It's well known ATI cards can bum out on some games that Nvidia run fine and vice versa. Same story with processors and it's down to their manufacturers to work with BW to come up with a fix. Pinning down exactly what the problem is is frustratingly tricky I give you that but blaming the game itself as a blanket statement based on your friend is pretty stupid tbh. I run on 3 different specced machines not a problem on any of them so go figure

You're right it could work fine... but ppl are just to plain dumb. lazy or wowised to use it - while screaming for LFG tool just like.... and that's the reason we end up with games that a 5 year old can master

To clarify it's only server wide not account wide

There are just as many mistakes made when ppl create characters in the first place I've seen some weird names running around But then I've no objection to a name changing service legacy or otherwise providing it's a paid for service. I don't think stupidity or carelesness should come out of the game budget.
