There's no subscriber symbol.. I think you're mistaken by the Legacy veteran symbol (the golden republic/empire symbol) that you get once you finish all 8 class stories.

I only use one set of legacy gear for all my characters now with Mastery and (sadly?) all th augments are Alacrity as that is still ****** for my main Vigilance Guardian :|
