Other than the rage on the forums (EDIT) *over the EGA*, so far I've really liked the community. Have you seen all the reasonable posts? The WoW forums are bloodthirsty over everything and anything. You get 2-3 vicious attack posts for every helpful one. Also like someone else had mentioned; you know it's a good game when people are raging that bad because they can't play. I think the beta drove people more crazy than they'd like to think.

I think you're right. Could be that a lot of them are getting defensive for that reason. I remember before I couldn't fathom how I would ever let go of my characters after all the work I put into them. Now I could really care less.. It's become more than apparent that the game is headed nowhere good. I mean, it's not even the same devs working on it anymore. Kind of a big deal? Eheh.

Same here. Why are people saying SWTOR's endgame will suck? What is so great about WoW's endgame? A lot of us flat out refuse to play it and yet people are still in denial? My theory is that a lot of the kids who like Cata are newer, or something.

I'm so horribly sick of WoW. Surprised that you guys really think this game won't put much of a dent in it. I still have subscription time when them and I refuse to play, just waiting to get into the EGA. I've been playing WoW since the start of BC, and I havn't complained until now. Cataclysm was horrid and pandas will make even more people quit, along with the rest of Blizzard's horrible decisions. This isn't Aion, this isn't Rift. No, the launch won't put that much of a dent in it. But over time I have faith that the SWTOR population will grow. No clue as to why people are still playing that other game.. Horrible.

..or is it just purely cosmetic? I was really enjoying seer in the beta, and getting to occasionally rip stuff up with the double strike was fun. I'm guessing this ability becomes obsolete quickly though with all the spells?

I feel stupid/ignorant, but I didn't see the fine print mentioning the staggered access stuff. Also, the gamestop guy did lie and tell me I would have access on the 13th. Again, yes, I feel stupid. Still disappointing, though. I would have pre-ordered sooner had I known.

I wanna say 2 and I suppose I will but the name thing is kind of cruel.

I don't really feel like it's a big deal to have to wait (even though I still have WoW subscription and am so sick of it that I don't wanna) though I'm sure the people who pre-ordered earlier wouldn't be too upset if they did speed up the access. I'm pretty sure those people are already playing the game and would be distracted/happy with that fact, and the community would really appreciate the unexpected mercy. Would be a good business move, is all I'm sayin'.
