  1. Please don't word things like they are fact and not opinion. I know you are not trying to troll anybody. Myself (and many others here, I'm sure) have played WoW before the LFD tool was implemented and I'm simply not seeing where it killed the game. I remember having tanks on my friends list (was a healer) and it was alright, but I've always loved the cross-realm LFD tool. It's so simple, really. If you want to play with the same players, make friends, and roll on items with people you trust, join a guild. Dead horses are being beaten, it's just unfortunate that such a good feature faces not being implemented because of strange, empty arguments. I realize that anonymity makes people act like jerks but people have that regardless, and yes I remember things being ninjad with reckless abandon even before LFD.
  2. That's funny because I've been having a lot of fun with other people. Anyway, loving the combat animations and sounds, and music too. Every area of the game looks and feels cinematic and for just being released I'm really liking this. 5 days before the EGA for this game started and I still had a WoW sub and couldn't bring myself to log in because it's such a bore. This game follows most of the same template as most other mmos (mostly WoW) but it has a more refreshing feel to it somehow. Also love the alignment choices and darkside corruption. I really love tanking in PvP, I've been thinking in my head for years that taunts could work in this exact way as I'm sure others have. My first time experiencing that, having a lot of fun with it.
  3. Nice of you to offer. I'm East Coast unfortunately. I'm sure you guys are all cool, though. And yeah I believe it that dark siders can be cool people too.
  4. Well that's encouraging, I guess I'll mess around with my agent more and see how it goes.
  5. It's amazing how insecure the "omg im sick of these baddies *insert other generic, unoriginal insult seriously try coming up with your own material* are. Trying to establish your dominance over noobs makes you look like a soiled tampon to most people. We don't think you're good because skilled players wouldn't be so volatile. A skilled player has nothing to prove and doesn't have to look like they're better than anyone, they just are. Can't even call you guys trolls because you're seriously raging. Wish more of you were funnier, too.
  6. RP servers sound tempting. I'm worried about the atmosphere being a bit too serious, and having 'rules' to follow as to not cause any waves. Still, though, it sounds better than getting raged on. I'll think about it. Still, Empire side encourages power, red is by far the dominant color, and in general is where most of the dark side people go. Just seems like common sense to me that the community would be worse on that side. Just wondering if in people's experiences this is true.
  7. And the people getting ripped a new one the very, very first time they get the ball? The first time I got the ball in the middle of a fight, I tried to pass it to someone and didn't realize that it was a ground AoE effect, I targeted someone then hit the button. I ended up getting killed by the whole enemy team in the confusion and it all happened within a matter of seconds, but you can bet your *** someone popped a vein over it. I'm honestly really surprised at how angry some people are getting. Thought this community would be cooler than that.
  8. I have characters on each side, and I'm still unsure of which I want to stick with as a main, and I would like to pick one. I'm curious as to what other people's experiences are like with players and community on either side? My first PvP match on Empire side had a monumental d**k in it, and I'm leaning toward Republic now with hopes that the community there might be less rotten. I'm aware that there's people like that on either side. Just wondering what other people's experiences have been like with them both.
  9. Lmao, what's with the people saying no. 2 is skinny/anorexic? That model is more muscular/athletic than most of the fanbase. Aside from the fat ones I guess. Maybe that's the issue?
  10. Can't wait to get my invite. I think it was all done very well, though. The 4 days of EGA (crossin my toes nothing goes wrong) is awesome. I think they handled the situation very well, I hope it wasn't too stressful for the mods to deal with all the drama.
  11. After your font I am now rolling a miraluka. Also, the whiniest are the loudest. Bad is easier to notice than good, and the people having fun and generally not screaming and flailing on the forums. Even still, there's quite a few good ones floating about.
  12. Nice to see some sensible people. Can't wait to play with ya.
  13. 2nd wave and already 30? Depresses me that this happens. Poor child isn't playing the same game we are. EDIT: Also depressing how people in the 20s are like, insecure about not being 30 yet or something. 'I'm 20something but (excuse)' lol? Hey. If that's how you guys wanna play, all the power to yas.
  14. I don't think it has much to do with insecurity, but the ridiculousness of the pandas and how they are taking center stage in the expansion is what turns me off personally. Yes, there's other silly things in the game, but for some people it's the icing on the cake. I really didn't enjoy Cata. It's too bad, too, because WoTLK was so fun story-wise. Not one to rage at people, though. You have a point there.
  15. Ich pflegte, um Deutsches wie sie zu sprechen, dann nahm ich einen pfeil im knie.
  16. You should try logging in through the launcher, apparently people are getting in that way before they get the e-mail. (I hear some people aren't getting the e-mail at all?) Just a tip.
  17. Many of us are bitter specifically because WoW was great in it's prime. Cataclysm was so, so, so bad. Pandas looks worse. Please mommy, I don't wanna play the bad game anymore..
  18. Still convinced this launch method is to weed out the worst of the potential community. I'm still waiting too and I can't ever fathom emulating this kind of behavior. Rofl.
  19. Whether you're pro-Blizzard or pro-Bioware (or neither, or both), I don't think there is any denying that Blizzard doesn't like this. I didn't expect them to be 'worried' either but they seem more defensive than I'd imagined they would be. http://www.gamespot.com/news/kotick-skeptical-of-star-wars-the-old-republic-6346762 (Not a huge deal, and left up to interpretation, but none the less immature) The annual pass that includes Diablo 3 and the mount? Annual pass? Kind of ridiculous and also again immature, and maybe even a bit cruel too, given the direction the game is going in. I wouldn't sign up for an annual pass even when the game was still what I considered good.
  20. Cool post LSCIX, was fun to read. I agree with most of it too. I think this game has a lot of potential and I wouldn't be surprised if the spirit of SW fans in general bolster this game's success.
  21. All well said. I guess in the end, I'm just eager to watch WoW burn because of Blizzard's poor decisions and it's disappointing to know that they probably won't for a while yet.
