  1. The class stories can be explained because the events of each class take place at different times within the story. The only real story inconsistencies I know of are on Hoth Master Sav is killed in both the Republic and Imperial planet quest line and on Alderaan Boris Ulgo is killed or captured by both the Empire and Republic in the planet quest lines. I suppose both could be explained though because Master Sav is said to have an extreme knack for survival and Boris Ulgo could have escaped or been busted out if he was canonically captured in at least one of the planet quest lines.
  2. This was elaborated on in the old 1990's West End Games Star Wars RPG. Basically the stormtroopers were said to be elite and are part of this group: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Stormtrooper_Corps while the regular Imperial soldiers who were never really seen in the movies outside of vehicle pilots were part of this group: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Imperial_Army. However this information only applies to the movie era and as far as we currently know the stormtrooper-like Imperial Troopers are the standard in TOR.
  3. Archon was a a Greek word meaning rule or lord and was used by leaders of public offices. Heres an article about it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archon
  4. Despite doing all the quests and making an effort to pass by these characters whenever possible and sometimes stop and wait, the NPC bystander conversations rarely trigger. I would recommend making sure these trigger once when the player first walks by the NPC's at the appropriate time and then be able to trigger the conversation again at any time by clicking on them.
  5. Whats interesting to contemplate is rather or not the Force is alive. Kreia certainly thought it was, and the Force can be wounded or disturbed, and it is said to protect certain people which suggests some kind of consciousness. You could argue if the Force actually is some kind of evil entity it would allow Force sensitives to exist and manipulate its power knowing that it wouldn't have to do any work because the users would form various organizations and war against each other because of philosophical opinions, these wars serving its never ending quest for balance. Assuming it is alive why the Force would even want balance is another question though, as is why does it exist.
  6. And yet there's over 1,000 years of time after the games start point unexplored by the expanded universe. It doesn't make any since to have the Empire lose this early when we have time for a lot more adventure.
  7. If you use the "killing you will be such fun!" option you won't get any alignment points however if you don't take that opportunity and continue the conversation it ends with the choice of sparing him to lead your cult for dark side points or killing him for light side points.
  8. Is there any way to spare Lord Paladius without leaving him in control of the cult? It strikes me as somewhat odd that the light side choice is murdering him, exile or something would make more sense.
  9. Can a mod move this to Star Wars Discussion? It has nothing to do with the games story.
  10. Lucas has a strict policy about the EU never expanding Yoda's race. Entire works have never been published for trying to do this.
  11. Are there any plans to feature characters from the SWTOR novels in-game? Many characters like Agent Vii and Eldon Ax were very memorable.
  12. But we have about 1,000 years of unexplored territory in this period of the expanded Universe so why destroy the Empire so soon?
  13. It would be cool if it could be done right but that would be difficult. I think the Vong would notice and send war ships if a scout party went missing.
  14. Originally SW's weren't able to be aliens because it wouldn't make sense being that they are from a noble Sith lineage, however this added little room for race customization and they added it at the last minute. I presume its non-canon.
  15. Originally SI's weren't able to be Purebloods because of them being slaves and SW's weren't able to be aliens because they are of noble Sith lineage, however this allowed little race customization so these (presumably non-canon) options were added at the last minute.
  16. The Empire is not racist in the manner of humans being better than aliens, their racism is based on rather or not you have Sith blood. In truth there are no full members of the Sith species left because of heavy interbreeding with the Dark Jedi exiles, but those who have high amount of Sith blood and retain red skin and other Sith features are at the very top of the pyramid while those that appear human but still have Sith blood are immediately below them. Anyone with no Sith blood is basically considered a lesser being.
  17. The Chiss are featured in the New Jedi Order series and RPG material heavily fleshes out the Ascendancy.
  18. In the 100 years of 1869 to 1969 we went from a largely agricultural society with little in the way of machinery or education for the common man to walking on the moon. We may just get to participate in something amazing yet
  19. This is a common bug unfortunately, its also effecting those who spared him, the game saying that he's dead.
  20. The ability to play a Dark Side Jedi or a Light Side Sith makes it interesting so no thanks.
  21. Eh, its kind of ambiguous rather or not Obi-Wan knew the stormtroopers were coming for Luke's Aunt and Uncle.
  22. Personally I see the Jedi philosophy as foolish, for example the Jedi's attempts to be pure Light and to shield themselves from anything that could lead to the Dark Side, such as recruiting infants, forbidding contact with families, marriages, children, and other attachments, and otherwise avoiding any possible competing loyalty leads them to become isolated from and clueless about the people they were supposed to protect. Plus Jedi's attempts to purge oneself of emotion sometimes leads to disturbing cold acts such as leaving the Outer Rim to be slaughtered by Mandalorians. My RP Light Sith believes that it is much better to enjoy life and use emotion, yet still have the willpower to use the negative emotions Sith use to gain power without becoming evil. Also as a note the Dark Side philosophy is not inherently evil it only makes one use emotion to gain power. So I consider my Light Side Sith a user of both sides of The Force.
  23. Are many of the Republic quests like the ones you've described? I've only played Empire as of yet and most of the choices are true black and white.
