  1. @tschme The linked ea account carbonth1ef has been disabled, and uses the same gmail email used on your swtor account use this link (insert the swtor gmail email address into that link) to reset the password then login on that EA account Be sure to use incognito mode with chrome or delete the browser cache and cookies to be sure it isnt cached if purchasing on swtor.com When i checked support did not have an email from you yet with the steam screenshots per https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/INFO-Steam-Purchase-Not-Working/td-p/9356718/jump-to/first-unread-message
  2. Support says it shows as rejected by the bank on their end, given you have checked with your bank , if you have waited a full 24 hrs to retry, best to use a different payment method like paypal
  3. can you confirm that is still the case, support checked and you have the option to create a thread
  4. change the email address on the swtor account to one never used by any swtor / ea or origin account and then try to verify the account otherwise call swtor support when the lines are open to update the email used https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/INFO-Getting-Help-and-Board-Guidlines/td-p/4806237/jump-to/first-unread-message
  5. anyone can call with an account issue Email screenshots for the steam purchase per https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/INFO-Steam-Purchase-Not-Working/td-p/9356718/jump-to/first-unread-message will check with swtor support on account issues with your swtor account and they have your email with the steam screenshots, response will be in about 9 hrs when support are online for the day When a swtor account is disabled for subscribing , no gametime can be added to the account from any source, this includes steam and codes, this will likley be why the steam purchase failed to add gametime
  6. ensure windows power options are set to high performance when playing swtor , if it is on power save your fps will tank and ensure vsync is turned off
  7. sometimes there can be a delay between purchase and reflecting ingame
  8. launch issues belong in the technical issues forum per https://forums.swtor.com/topic/795177-bug-report-forum-usage/#comment-8547643 Delete the client_setting file initially a fresh one will be created on next launch, if it persists post the contents of the client_setting file in the post at minimum
  9. Glad to hear gametime has been added to your account
  10. make a post in the technical issues forum https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/bd-p/star-wars-the-old-republic-en Provide a dxdiag of the system per https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/Guide-Posting-a-DxDiag/m-p/4832663/highlight/true#M70799 And paste the contents of the client_setting file into the post
  11. If a swtor account is disabled for subscribing, good indicator is not able to purchase on swtor.com in cases like this no gametime can be added to a swtor account until the issue is fixed , hence steam and codes will not apply gametime to the account either for the steam purchase email screenshots as shown in https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/INFO-Steam-Purchase-Not-Working/td-p/9356718/jump-to/first-unread-message will check the swtor account for issues and they have your email, response will be on Monday when support are online again
  12. start with the guide in the 2nd post in this thread https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/Guide-Game-failing-to-launch-on-Clicking-Play/m-p/4809830/highlight/true#M70795
  13. Glad to hear you are subscribed ok now
  14. If it was the game or servers per sey there would be lots of people at the same time as you saying they cant get in much like when people with systems below the actual minimum game requirement found out they could no longer load into the game Cant resolve it post in the swtor technical issues forum https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/bd-p/star-wars-the-old-republic-en
  15. i would check the antivirus and firewall as this is more likley to cause you issues logging in
  16. Yes this is a very well known issue , my take based on seeing this for a large number of years example from 2018 https://forums.swtor.com/topic/864511-bug-4kuhd-resolution-vertical-stretching-bug-characterscertain-gui-elements/#comment-9253702 Swtor utilises the EDID information loaded in windows from the monitor, sometimes there are errors with the edid that is stored in the monitor, usually HDMI TV are the worst for this In the post above, the 3840 x 2160, in this case it should be deleted , or manually create another higher 21:9 ratio resolution so that swtor sees that one instead (it doesn't need to be used) and reacts accordingly I am aware of several attempts over the last 10 years to reduce the occurrences of this, but given it is based on what the monitor tells the OS it is limited with the swtor engine, and is a rare occurrence based on the number of systems that do not get this issue at all
  17. You should be able to resolve this , try this initially right mouse click on the game shortcut and select properties, go to the compatibility tab and select run this program in compatibility mode for windows 8
  18. used the latest setup ? https://www.swtor.com/download
  19. just to close the loop here , in situations like this it is best to email support@swtor.com and see if they can assist further if someone is unable to recover the account then call swtor support when the lines are open so they can help you regain access
  20. have you submitted a ticket ? (not as a bug report) that would be the first thing i would do and see what the response is
  21. on that screen press the alt+enter keys a few times to change to window mode , otherwise edit the client_setting file as seen in https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/Guide-Game-failing-to-launch-on-Clicking-Play/m-p/4809830/highlight/true#M70795 accepting the eula is a known steam issue on new installs
  22. make a post in the technical issues forum https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/bd-p/star-wars-the-old-republic-en attach a dxdiag of the system per https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/Guide-Posting-a-DxDiag/m-p/4832663/highlight/true#M70799 and paste the contents of the client_settings file
  23. start with this guide from the swtor technical issues forum https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/Guide-Game-failing-to-launch-on-Clicking-Play/m-p/4809830/highlight/true#M70795
  24. The general forum is for general discussion, and the bug report forum is for ingame bugs make a post in the swtor technical issues forum , https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/bd-p/star-wars-the-old-republic-en attach a dxdiag to that post for starters https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/Guide-Posting-a-DxDiag/m-p/4832663/highlight/true#M70799 also mention if you do you get to press play on the launcher ? and what occurs when you do, details like this will help There was an issue with systems below the minimum game requirements but has been resolved i believe, Start with the below known solution for systems that are below the minimum game requirements Press the [Windows] Key + [R] at the same time Copy the following in to the text box and press ok %localappdata%\swtor\swtor\settings Open the client_settings.ini file in notepad Add the following in the [renderer section or amend if the line exists TextureQuality = 1 GraphicsQuality = 1 Save the file and retry and see if that helps
  25. launcher issues should be posted in the technical issues forum - https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/bd-p/star-wars-the-old-republic-en first be sure it was this C++ file you installed https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe
