  4. Commandos in my experience have the best dps as a healer Good aoe burst and can pop supercharge cells for the damage buff and spam the hell out of charged bolts for free... finishing with a free full auto.
  5. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=673269 Thought id post a link to my suggestion here for those dps'ers that may have not seen this (was probably a good idea to tbh) Basically give this post a read, it would essentially be a proper tool for all classes to get correct parses on fair grounds. I know its gotten some great support from people that know me and it would even be a great tool the devs could use to help further balance tweaks in future updates.   7. Briliant idea, optional setting that changes its title. That opens up new parsing options for the burn phase specialists, thanks for the input .

"Injured" setting would be good for testing out pure burn phase, clearly assassins should come out top in those (according to the dev's atleast) but that should not be the main thing, maybe just a sub setting but it would need to be highlighted somewhere so people don't post "official" parses, when its actually burn phase only mode. And well.... 900,000 is 3k dps over 5 minutes exactly. so somewhere between 900k and 1 million HP would be ideal for the dummy droid yes. infact 1 million would be the sweet spot as some parses are 3.1k. It's going places

That was one of the ideas I had, however you have to take into consideration the normalisation factor When people create parses they could lie about that "settings" they had on their dummy droid, it needs to be standardised so as not to jeopardise results. Permanent armour de buff and a static health pool will ensure this. No tampering, just results

Discussed this in depth with one of my fellow guild mates and it would fix every single one of the DPS measurement disparities currently in the game As we all know parsing on a dummy droid doesn't give a real world (static boss fight) evaluation of real DPS performance, as certain AC's have disadvantages, some more than others. (executes, burn phase talents, armour debuff etc) This creates false scores that people judge the classes on. (Theory craft all you want xyz etc etc....) My proposal is this, add a new type of Operations training dummy that has a set amount of hit points that deplete over time (as you deal damage), plus an armour debuff that is constantly active. Amount the total health pool to what a 3k parse could kill in 5 minutes as that is the ideal benchmark for a DPS class to be "viable" as people dub it. (even though actual boss DPS requirements are nowhere near 3k). So naturally as players are parsing away, ALWAYS with an armour debuff active (6% more damage for those without it) and the ability to reach execute phase for the last 1.5/2 minute of the parse. This would give a true example of the damage per second the class can actually reach, which means pyro pt's and assassins for a start (most glaring examples of needing burn phase for big DPS) can get a factual good numbers parse, without the need for theory crafting or any of that malarkey Classes with finishers would be able to get a real parse, and with semi boosting burn phase talents (such as 15% more on dots for lethality) Straight forward, simple and effective solution. Just add it onto players ships and onto the fleets. Alternatively just add a toggle button next to the existing ops dummy to switch between standard (infinite health, no armour debuff) and health (with armour debuff) modes. This would give all players the ability to get realistic parses regardless of their class types, and provide a solid ground of accurate data for the combat team and balance dev's to work with to scrub out any problems classes may currently have with any of their dps abilities or skill tree talents. (To get the dps balance in check!) (This would also provide an option of a new legacy point for players to get this new dummy on all of their alt's ships, and just add it to the vanguard fleet ships by default) Further tweaking suggestions plus comments and feedback are welcome, thanks for reading . (NOTE: Sunder abilities, shatter shot and grav round/tracer missile armour debuffs wouldnt stack ontop of the passive debuff on this dummy, as only 1 can be active at a time. However Grav round would have to be detected on the dummy so demo round gets the appropriate damage buffs (same for tracer and heatseeker missile), but without increasing the actual armour debuff value, that needs to be a fixed amount - solid 20%).
  11. 1000% yes! also heat seeker missile sound bugs often and fusion missile sound is always bugged, no launching sound Arsenal merc, king of the silent casts. I miss the old 1.3 awesome sounds of everything Please fix.

The basic gear vendor and elite gear vendor (black market items via comms) do not have an offhand generator for DPS powertechs, there are only blaster pistols for bloody mercenaries and shield generators for tank PT's. Was this an oversight? only way to get one is save up a whopping 140 ultimate comms for Verpine one, be lucky enough to get an Arkanian offhand drop by winning the roll, (or Underworld from TFB last boss). Or assemble one yourself by either buying a reflex armouring 30 for the cheap price of 1.5 million credits (Red Eclipse server prices), or using your rare as hell purple mats and getting a crafter to make one. Why are there pistols for mercs but no generators for PT's :-\ ?? Could one please be added, as DPS commandos repside can get generators from both of these vendors, as this is unfair . Thankyou
  13. Personally I absolutely love the new animation, looks much cooler and that horrible high pitched "pew pew" sound it used to make is gone! good riddance. It may feel like a damage nerf but it does the same damage overall.
  14. Manaan from KOTOR. Beautiful, relaxing and generally awesome. Also being able to visit hrakert rift or anywhere deep underwater would be boss ingame!
