  1. I would think, or hope, most people would be able to separate a video game from real life by now. Guess not.
  2. I wouldn't hold my breath for any of that. We're likely to see more of the same. 2 Choices for "stories", short 2 cut scene type of stories.. Bungled "systems" for gearing, rewards, and the such. The honest statement is that the Cartel Market is the reason the game stays around. It will continue to pump out items to keep it there. Thus keeping the game going. Cartel Market is first and everything else and very distant second.
  3. In contrast, I have yet to let Koth live on any character. Light or Dark.
  4. Sooo, too many choices having been made prevent future choices from being made. That is a design flaw. Because the game is old, the engine older, and devs that can't be bothered are why any impactful decisions will have little to no impact on the character. There will be blanket affects to all characters with little choice given to the player.
  5. Anything overly impactful in the stories happening now is incredibly unlikely. The facts of the matter are the game is old, the engine is older, the funds aren't there, and the devs can't be bothered.
  6. Shouldn't have to be a thing to begin with. The UI should be working correctly. Refreshing the UI or reloading the UI shouldn't be needed to FIX the UI. It's a bug and should be fixed by BW.
  7. Help me out here. Reward was available from X to X and required X to be done. You didn't do it. Where's the issue? It can be easily argued that your "hobby and distraction" is more then that to you. Since you're speaking vaguely and non specifically about this achievement, tell us what the achievement is/was. Which one has you so bent?
  8. Companies endeavor to be profitable and tend to do things to ensure that happens.
  9. I've had multiple characters meet the 50K threshold and not receive guild rewards. Yes, the guild met it's goal as well. Combine this with the way crafting is currently working, this is an increasingly frustrating problem.
  10. The one takeaway from Eric is that communication will be, sadly, lacking and infrequent at best. Regardless of where game issues came from or how they came to be, it is disheartening that BW has decided to communicate less and express a disinterest in quelling the uproar due to these issues or resolve these outstanding issues that many are having. One would think that they learned their lesson after the launch fiasco, but apparently old dogs, in fact, do not learn new tricks. By continuing this tactic BW only exacerbates the current level of loathing and does very little to bolster the case they have a handle on things. By all accounts the game seemed to be heading in the right direction and players were overall satisfied with the game. It's become abundantly clear that this is no longer a concern for BW. For Eric to speculate about a 10th anniversary was not only a slap in the face to players currently experiencing a multitude of issues, but foolhardy. In it's current state, getting to and through it's 9th anniversary will be tough, uphill battle. Time will will tell. We'll see what happens, but what will the cost ultimately be? How many players become just fed up with BW , their inability to manage the game and just leave or just leave again?
  11. Thanks for the information. I think the various mods, armorings, enhancements, hilts.barrels needed some variety. Maybe things went a bit far. Perhaps I've gotten caught up in the BIS everywhere for everything juju. I've seen the spreadsheets and read some guides. A lot of those guides do not mention lettered designation of mods. So they say "Just use Superior Lethal" or "Just use Initiative" not mentioning A, B, R, AR, BR letterings and the variations of those. Thank you for some clarification.
  12. quick question about armorings. Which of the alphabet soup armorings is considered BIS? DPS tends to prefer the R-2 versions. Same for Resistive Armorings?
  13. BW needs to fix the Targeting system next. The god awful, horrendous targeting system. /sarcasm When I kill one of the many NPCs in front of me, the 1 NPC behind me out of view should be the next selected target. Or my companion. /sarcasm The system is so bad it makes the game almost unplayable. Yes tab-targeting works. Targeting doesn't even select something around me or in front me.
  14. Like it or not. I'm not particularly bothered or concerned either way. For me the 3 month wait between chapters really killed KOTFE for me. I don't care about HK-55. The only reason Bioware is dangling all this HK crap is that they, once again, have failed to consistently produce content. Now they're trying to distract people with coins and HK crap. It's a slap in the face to the people who pay their monthly sub. They knew waiting 3 months would be the deathknell for KOTFE and yet they did it anyways. Now Bioware is trying act like this was the plan all along and they want to reward people. No you dont, you're bribing people to stay while producing lethargic content. As much as I love TOR, the longer this fiasco plays out, the worse it's going to get.
  15. Perhaps they plan on making some new 4th strata of raiding that no one's ever heard that will completely revolutionize the way we raid.
  16. As a whole, I'm quickly losing faith in the Dev team since FE dropped. It is becoming quite clear that they are struggling to make logical, structured, coherent decisions about the game. Starting with comps, continuing with NiM mode, and the apparent incoming nerfs.
  17. It is assumed that at some point yes. When? Who knows.
  18. Maybe you're right. Maybe all those people who want to voice their opinions should just leave, myself included. I would miss TOR, it's my favorite part of Star Wars, but I could enjoy many other games that have a sub or offer a sub just as much.
  19. I do agree with this 100%, if Bioware has said "We're instituting a new rewards program for peoplewho sub and stayed a sub" all would have been fine. That isn't what they said. It was their intention, but not what they said. They referred to it as a loyalty, rewards program which is the crux of the issue. I'm all for rewards moving forward to reward everyone, including new subs, regardless of what the rewards are, but to the longer subs it appears that Bioware is only rewarding new subs with the program, regardless of sub length. Another game does offer vetern rewards. The longer you are a sub, the better the rewards are over time. This would have been a much better solution.
  20. The distinction I was making is that Bioware really isn't referring to current, older subs specifically with the newprogram. They are referring to newer subs. This likely why some of the older, longer subs feel slighted by the new program. Personally, I've been a sub since day 1. Bioware is wanting to attract new subs, which they should, but not slight older subs at the same time.
  21. I know it's early in the day for some, but at least put some effort into reading and comprehension.
  22. The mistake that Bioware made is that they said loyal customers but what they mean is new subscribing customers. The program isn't meant to reward older, loyal subscribers. It's meant to be a reward for NEW subscribers. Not what they said, but that's what it is.
  23. I gotta agree with this. Maybe there is more down the road but for right now it really doesn't feel worth the grind. I get that end game grinds are common, but usually there is something in it for you. Just doesn't feel like you get much of anything for such a long, tedious grind.
  24. Thanks, seems meh but thanks all the same.
  25. Is there any point in getting Alliance influence past lvl 10? I know the rewards for every even level, but aside from that, any point?
