Oh look an encounter that is tailored made for the Dps meter crowds. That even child with all his macros and looking at his DPS meter can complete. Such a linear (boring) fight doing as much dps woo****. Tank and Faceroll...
What ever happened with the good old days of raiding (the grand daddy of all raiding games EQ1) where people actually had other things to do besides DPS and Healing? Even EQ2 had much more then this.

Theory Crafting ruined WoW. Everyone in the same gear pressing the same buttons and flaming anyone who tried to do something different.
You can shove your damage meter, recount, and all that other crap where the sun don't shine for me.

Thought i'd post something instead of complaining i'm not in yet. As it's not going to help me get in any faster.
I am one of the people in Australia who preordered. And for some reason I was assuming EU servers would be faster, but I did a search and on another mmo they are saying US is faster for me.
So can anyone clear this up for me, would it be better/faster for me on US or EU servers?
I was hoping it was EU because most of them don't have many people yet. The 'unoffical' Australian server is apparently Harbinger, which is full at the moment.
I heard Swiftsure was an unoffical Aussie server (US-West Coast) from other Aussie players.

You can blame the huge pre-order spike from the black Fri/cyber Mon/freakin' huge beta weekend.
I believe is was close to a 100k retail from that weekend alone.

Is is very possible that all of Nov will be in tomorrow. Or the cut off could be Nov 23 but then that makes the cut off 3rd week of Nov and they did not say that. So I think you guys in late Nov are good to play tomorrow.

Clearly states do not provoke a negative response with your posts. I guess people need to be reminded of that fact by flagging people like you that have nothing better then trolling and making people feel even worse.

Okay I turned in mine on Aug 1st and I'm not in game yet. That's pretty sad. The pre-orders started on July 21 and they haven't made it to the 12th day. LOL I really don't think they are telling the truth. I know of people that Pre-ordered after that that are playing the game. Not to mention a lot of people still saying they submitted in july that still aren't playing. Blah BIO/EA this is bull crap.
As for the people that are going to try and flame me for this post. Let me start with don't waste your time telling me about how they let us in 2 days early. Really that's not the case. In the begining it was up to 7days. Then it was cut down to 5 and then last minute it was back up to 7. Someone running for Congress here or something?
Then the hole staggered release. I think it was more so like some insider trading. All the people from Bio/EA probably logged in yesterday to make thier accounts. And thier friends probably were told to preorder and stuff in advance so they could all be in on day 1 - wave 1.
All the mean while BIO has sounded like a double talking southern politician in how they have worded things and posted things to make it so I have to feel like I need a lawyer to decode thier lines of crap.
In the end I'm not happy with the game. I waited for buy the CE and in doing so I now have thousands of people that get a head start on me. A day is a day.
I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER GAME MADE BY BIOWARE OR EA. No madden! No NBA Live! No NHL! No Mass Effects! You get the point! I will play this game but there will always be a bad taste left in my mouth. As soon as World of Darkness somes out I might be gone. Next game I buy... Boarderlands 2!!!
Hope your stupid staggered WAVE release was worth it because you lost all the rest of my business in the future. P.S. If I'm not playing tomarrow I'll probably just not buy my CE copy and let some other tool pick it up. Starting to feel like I'm playing WoW/SWG all ready!!!!!
Unhappy customers more then anything brings the slow death of a game. Sony Online has a proven record in this department and is known throughout the MMO community as such. Some people swore off SoE games and they stuck with it. Sadly, BW/EA may be making this same mistake with soo many people feeling left out. People being told one thing and then changing it later on (ie grace period). Giving condesending twitter responses to unhappy customers.
Not a great start I fear for a great game. I too feel that bitter taste in my mouth about this game.

Servers may be smooth now, but when a lot of people get on tonight after working, it may be a bit more laggy...
Oh yeah cause the Euro servers were melting during thier primetime..... Oh wait it's done and gone and during thier primetime almost half had Medium population.

My friend was in the 2nd wave of access, he just hit level 10 and there is no one to do BT with, there are 6 people on the space station.
Yeah great way to start an MMO, play like a single player game.

I was in the early release for Rift. It is a great game but on the first day of early release they had nowhere near enough servers and let everyone in all at once. There was massive queue times throughout the the day and a lot of nerd rage on the forums. Trion quickly had to add many more servers to handle the load.
Another issue they had was no guild pre-loading like they did here. No one knew which server they would end up on at first. There was a lot of guilds spread out over several servers.
There was also an exploit where hackers were hacking accounts left and right. Which took Trion quite awhile to get investigated and solved.
So I can see why Bio Ware has taken this route. And I have to say it is working. The level and intensity of nerd rage on these forums is nothing compared to Rift's first day. But their launch went pretty smooth even with all the problems I listed.
I am content to be patient and wait until I get the cherished early access e-mail. For me having a smooth gaming experience when I first log into the game will make it worth the wait.
Give people the option and they would take the waiting on a queue for a few hours over not being able to play for days. Then on top of that, what we are going to have to wait on queues for hours after we waited for days to actually play the game?

Personally I'd rather be sitting in a 4 hour queue - ala Rift, at least knowing I might get to play at SOME point today, rather than sitting wondering what day I'm even going to get the chance.
Don't worry in a few days when you actually get to play you will be waiting on those hourly queues

When you release your MMO, you can dictate the launch however you see fit. They're doing this exactly as communicated and they are ahead of schedule. (for wave 2 anyway) Just relax and quit whining.
If people never complain about bad service, they will continue to give you bad service. Sorry if some of us want higher quality service, compare to others who are happy getting crapped on.

Yeah exactly haha, people think it's going to be any better as the days progress. Guess what, we will be waiting for days to play THEN we will be waiting on queues to actually play. So we get screwed both ways.

This is incredibly insane? Only 4 waves per day? I am watching people play on live stream and the starting zones are also freaking empty. What kind of Early Access is that? Aren't we being way over-cautious here?
I would bet most players NOT playing atm would choose to be a queue for a few hours instead of waiting for 2-5 days to actually play the game.

Exactly, I perfer to wait on a queue for hours instead of not playing for days. It's just common sense.. Not a great start for SWTOR and the press for the game.

A guild m8 of mine is in game and has only 13 peeps in starting zone... it is not instanced
Yeh it's like playing a single player game. Where's the MMO part of this game? Some of the best gaming experience of any MMO is the launch. Excitement and mad rush people get when everyone starts fresh. Everyone running around, the zone is alive and rampage. Sometimes chaotic, but that is part of the fun and the competition is strong. But this thing going on atm, is taking alot of the fun that alot of Veteran MMOs crave from a game.
Who cares about server firsts, who got 50 first, first guild who has the most 50 and gets cracking at the high content first. With this going on, who really cares anymore...
