  3. Hey mandos and mercs this is our time to speak up and say something. The combat team asked for feedback and if we take this horrible patch laying down not saying anything then we will never get any buffs. This is the time to speak up.   4. true true.. guess it would all have to be situational on health and stuff but i can tell you that ammo will be impacted alot
  5. if someone is that close to you that you are stock striking them you are most likely using the charges for healing yourself which is much longer than a GCD and cost more. Also if you are using those to heal yourself you should be also healing yourself back to back to get the most out of your charges wasting it on a GR is dumb so yeah ammo gone... Edit: you must be thinking of your PVE rotation. this skill is more based on PVP
  6. just quoting this post of cash's instead of finding the one where he made his suggestion but yeah if stockstrike gave us 2-3 charges of insta cast... we would really have no ammo at all.. i would say it would also have to come with 1-2 stacks of next ability is free or something that way you have to pay for some of it but not all of it. Edit: oh yes and we could probably also use back our charged barrier giving us a total of 10% DR like it used to up from 5% that we have now
  7. cool idea i think it would be awesome though if it launched you up in the air aswell to possibly take advantage of maybe a walkway or something that if you aimed it right with the right distance from where you want to go you could launch up to there say out of the pit in huttball or onto the middle part in voidstar, if it did that though it would have the have its distance cut a lil bit so it would not go as far, but atleast then it would not be exactly the same as a roll from a op/scoundrel... kinda just curious how lack luster this next update that is suppose to bring merc/mando up to par is really going to be. i do not want a dps buff as those tend to get nerfed and then no real help is done. we need QOL and utility buffs

  9. right now in 4v4 you are the easiest healer to shut down by a big margin.. i literally have never had a problem taking out a merc/mando healer.. and on top of that, i didnt even have to pop my electro net on the healer to do it
  10. actually you are wrong and I will tell you why it should become a cast while moving spec.. first of all pyro does require casting in order to get procs it used to be less back in the day but since they reinvented it in 2.0 you needed to actually start casting charged bolts/ power shot(i think sorry im a mando) when before you would just hammer shot instead giving you the ability to "run and gun" now the reason we should be able to cast while moving is in order to give us something utility wise that is in line with snipers but not giving us exactly what snipers have.. right now snipers have an energy shield they get to hide behind and it makes them immune to leaps and interrupts, this is super overpowered especially for cast heavy classes giving us casting on the move but still being able to be leapt to and interrupted would give us something we could use to be a threat while not just making us the same as snipers... i feel this would go a long way in making merc/mando viable options in pvp and possibly help them with their pve issues of being behind in dps (dunno dont pve much anymore but im sure movement heavy fights their dps would go up)

  14. i understand what you are saying but this is something that IMO would be a commando/merc only ability in order to give us something along the lines of snipers with their shield that makes it so you cannot leap to them or interrupt them and just like for snipers not every cast heavy class has a shield.. and yeah they would have a hardtime with us because we could kite but that is the point... survivability
  15. you are right on the money cash GG Edit: although i do not believe we need the slows as they would still keep us with our problem and managing our distance from our opponents so everything but being slowed
  16. commando/merc really lacks in the ability to maintain dps while being pressured in pvp.. sniper/gunslinger have the ability to hide behind a shield which in turn makes it so they cannot be lept to or interrupted and this also gives them a more reasonable way to manage their distance from their enemy and they are a cast heavy class commando merc is also a cast heavy class yet we dont have this... i think a way to bridge the gap between merc and sniper in viability in pvp would be to give the merc/mando something new but helpful to do this... CASTING ON THE MOVE... they would still be susceptible to interrupts and being lept to and such but they would be able to stay mobile this is the perfect fix to even the playing field for dps and i would assume heals also CASTING ON THE MOVE FTW!!!
  17. Janith i see you do not play merc/mando at all do you? there is much to complain about especially if you like to pvp.. i will not go into detail as i can already tell you don't play this class and would not understand the problems it recieves and has received since launch
  18. there is a simple and extremely easy fix to make commandos finally viable for pvp... make it so they can cast while moving.. makes total sense gunslingers and snipers are uninterruptable and can not be lept to so they can keep dpsing but mandos and mercs get shut down if they get focused at all give us casting while moving and that should level the playing field
  19. EXCUSE ME!!! NO CLASS CHANGES FOR MERC/MANDO? YET YOU ARE GOING TO BUFF MANY OTHER CLASSES? WE ALREADY STRUGGLE AS IT IS... IF THERE IS ANY PRESSURE ON US OUR DPS DROPS TO NILL THIS IS RIDICULOUS! I never make posts like this but seriously, Bioware you have to be the dumbest programmers i have ever encountered... why did the Star Wars MMO have to fall into your incapable hands....
  20. can anyone post the tactics spec that you run in ion cell and guard someone and what is the rotation and gearing?
