  1. So there are a couple of threads about how to make cantinas more immersive. The methods I've seen are listed below:

    1. Pazaak

    2. Pod racing

    3. Centralize LFG tool meet location at them

    4. Bounty Board for open world PvP random bounties

    5. Bulletin Board for guild members to post notes

    6. Swoop racing

    7. Open world PvP base, which is a huge topic on its own

Well I wanted to expand my ideas for pod racing, because I don't think this topic is discussed enough. My ideas for pod racing :

    I. General ideas

    1. Stream the races from every cantina in the galaxy.

    2. Allow betting on pods; assign racers numbers, or call signs. For the duration of the race it would be cool to pull up a screen and follow the race in any given camera view.

    A. First / third person ( however you want to setup the actual race camera ) of the person you bet on

    B. Or possibly allow cycling through all the drivers

    II. Tatooine concept

    1. Centralized hub to see the race live

    2. Racers meet here to be in the event.

    3. You can purchase parts to upgrade your racer, trade, maybe missions for scavengers to go out and seek parts.

    4. Have the races be a mini game but at the same time active in the open world. What I mean here is, alter the planets terrain to incorporate the racetrack and have the races live so random people leveling can just so happen to randomly see the race going on if they run into the racetrack.

    III. Racing and Pod ideas

    1. Make racers actually compete.

    A. What I mean by this is allow racers to do things like bet on their own pods for pink slips, credits, etc. you could do this through the registr. A cool idea would be to have the cartel or whoever you want bet on you. If you win you gain affection, but if you lose you have the option to pay up or fight back. This could be manageable with other players as well. If you run off your name can be added to the bounty board!

So far these are my ideas. Sorry for the sloppy post, I'm posting from my phone! Please feel free to add constructive comments! If this thread takes off I'll keep it updated regurally and clean it up accordingly!

  2. No we don't need more mods and macros, i like a lvl of realism. It's been said before if the game is too hard to you perhaps you need to 'learn how to play', i like a good challenge.

Lol. You apparently haven't read most of the posts here. If the game is hard for you, that's bad.

Most people want UI customization mods.

  3. 4pm GMT. That's the entire Saturday gone for EU players. It's as if BW wants EU players to run away from the game.

Well, they succeeded - sub cancelled.

Lol. I find this hilarious. 24 hours now is squashed into 4 hours?!

If they weren't fixing these bugs, y'all would be crying. Bioware can never win.

  4. With all the arguing over mods/addons I figured this would actually get some attention from the user community.

    This list is cool.

However, your statement to me about how the addon system in WoW makes more work for the devs? And then you post this huge list and claim this is less work for them? Lol. Are you a developer, can you provide proof one way is more work for them?

  5. I Personally think its not a great idea how they gave it to every single class...

Make it an active ability, not a passive ability you toggle. Think about it realistically, are people really in sprint mode 24/7??? Make it last 12 seconds on a minute cooldown for shadows and assassins.

  6. I think the rocks coming from the ground is cool, but I completely about force breach! It's the ugliest ability I've ever seen in an mmo!

Also, the stealth is pretty terrible as well. It should be a black cloud effect. Like smoke. Goes well with the "blackout" ability ;)

All the other abilities look pretty awesome!

  7. It means that for the time beeing there will be no addons and its future implementation is doubtful.

Anyways, the question here is: For in-game min/max and benchmarks/leaderboards. Good idea and why?

    For that, ya.

And sorry but I have to ask... Can you provide a link saying future implementation of add ins is not looking good? I'm not trolling, I'd just finally like to see the truth about their plans for that!

  8. K... So on top of targeting my enemy I also have to "focus" it.

    Lets summarize, as healer:

    - I have to target my enemy and then store it as focus. Each time my enemy dies I have to click and re-focus. Not only that, each time I want to affect the enemy I have to keep pressing the "focus modifier" key.

    - I still need to click on my friendlies to cast benefit spells on them.

Meanwhile, as DPS... I target and... Nothing else.

Do you think this is is remotely fair?

You don't need any macro nor addon... You clearly seems to be a DPSer... Have you realized what happens when you press your class buff WITHOUT any target selected? Or a medpack? Or a defensive CD?...

...Can you try to imagine if, BEFORE been able to use any of them, you actually had to target yourself? Or focus yourself? (Not joking I have tested some MMOs were you actually have to target yourself for things like this).

It's funny I never thought about it like this. It's more than likely true, too. The anti mouse over macro people more than likely 99% of the time play a dps class! Because standing there spamming a couple buttons on a boss is hard, right? Haha

It's sad because healing is my passion in MMO's but I chose to level a shadow instead because of the lack of mouse over healing. I'm afraid this will cause me to get bored, and quit.

  9. You're wrong about this.

Allowing players to have their own housing not only opens up a entirely new game-play element for the developers to build on (something this game desperately needs) but it also personalizes the world and makes you feel more a part of it. And this game needs more of that, a lot more in fact.

    Immersion ftw!

Seriously though, player housing( non-instanced ) adds so much more than just a cool place to hang out. These are all options:

    1. Rested xp

    2. Portals to certain areas maybe gained througg legacy

    3. Beds to sleep to get stat bonuses like using a flask

    4. Eat to get a food buff, both of these last through death

    5. Place for guild to meet and get these buffs so they can run to the operative together. Again for immersion

This would also promote world PvP! I know I'd love to camp inside an imperial player housing town on my shadow!
