  1. I'm sure other people have to have noticed this, but why is it that the side turrets fire faster for the Imperials at the start than for the Republic. At the start of a match it is possible for Republic to take their turret before the Imperials take their own side turret and yet the Imperials will deal damage first. I see this very often as I normally go for the side turret with my Shadow using sprint, I turn our (Republic side) turret and watch for the Imperials to turn their own. Often because I have sprint I will turn my turret 3-4 seconds before the Imperials will register as turned, and yet the Imperials with out fail always deals the first 5 points of damage. Shouldn't the turret that was turned first be the first one to deal damage?

  3. Derp, dunno how i missed that one, fair enough. I still think it would tick off alot of players knowing that their gear would be gimped if the other teams gear wasn't as spiffy. BTW I still think a stat that buffs ever aspect of a character (healing, dps, and survivability) all in 1 is way too powerful.
  4. Not a bad solution, but I doubt it would be implemented because Bioware will make considerably more people unhappy than happy if they set up a system like this. It would also in essence make pve much stronger, if your tryhards in your example were full raid pve geared, they would have 0 expertise, sending the other teams expertise to 0. While the tryhards however are in awesome stat pve gear, the facerollers are now in gear with a completely negated stat. That being said, Expertise is just too damn good. As a mercenary, it gives me Damage, Tankiness, and more healing, all 1 stat. It is laughable how amazing it is. Really they need to set it up so that it only buffs your primary roll IMO.
  5. No, because those same complaints about pve vs pvp exist today. The proliferation of expertise is timed based though. The entry barrier to be successful at pvp will increase as time goes forward. The entry barrier for pve will remain the same. And while yes, pvp is objective based, as time progresses those objectives will be harder for new players to accomplish because they will fighting against expertised geared players compared today where most people are on fairly equal footing.
  6. There is no misconception at all. PvP: Right now: 5 shots to kill someone if both are wearing noob gear 3 Months Later: new person to pvp in noob gear vs person who has pvped for 3 month and is wearing expertise 6-7 shots to kill. Result: PvP Got harder PvE: Right now: noob gear 5 shots to kill a mob in HM flash point 3 Months Later: noob gear, still 5 shots to kill the same mob. Result: PvE is the same
  7. The difference in pve progression and pvp progression is that the bottom level of pve does not get harder as time progresses. PvP does get harder to enter into though, because as time progresses more and more people have expertise and thus it is harder for a new pvper to progress than a new pve'r
  8. Again, a little research goes along way: You only need to fire off 3 Tracers / Gravs to get full stacks, because there is a talent that gives you 2 stacks per shot. Also it is not in anyway the most effective tactic. Rail shot, Unload + Barrage Proc, and Heatseeker all do more damage for less heat. If you see a Merc / Commando sitting there spamming tracer missile, be glad, because he could be doing lots of other things that would be way worse for you to be on the receiving end of.
  9. Just wanted to post my findings. I was trying to reverse engineer which Vibroknife requires level 21 to use for my alt today. I went through about 50 of them before I decided it was time to google the issue. Glad I'm not just getting amazingly unlucky.
