  1. Thanks for the advice, just tried it, unfortunately it didn't work.
  2. Unfortunately no because she isn't a companion yet, Lana is still the companion for that mission, Senya is just an extra helper.
  3. I got killed in my first attempt against Captain Draynon Atrus, after respawning Senya doesn't seem to show up. When I start the battle Senya still isn't there, I'm playing on Veteran with a Marauder so I kind of need the extra hand that she provides. I have no self heals and while over leveled my gear hasn't been able to keep up, so the downscaling is really screwing me over. I have only played through KOTFE twice the first when it initially released up to chapter 9 and I made a level 60 boosted character so had no context for most of what was happening, and then a few years later with my main when I finally reached that point. Both times were played on veteran though, it seemed easier back then, but the first character was an Assassin, and my main is an Operative. Is there a way to get Senya to show up again that I'm missing or do I have to restart the chapter? Any help would be appreciated.

  5. I haven't seen anyone call Doc evil. Creepy, misogynistic and downright deplorable, yes, but not evil. Who in this entire chat, talked about loving murderous ways and racism? Please keep this civil and not try to provoke any conflict, we can all discuss our opinions in a safe and caring manner. I never stated I was offended by the writing, I despise the character, but that's because of good writing, my issue comes with the coding issues, and bugs, preventing the ability to avoid the relationship altogether. Yes there are people like this in the real world and I very much don't like their attitude or actions either, the real world is where the real problem lies. I am disturbed and disgusted by the character and his attitude, but that does not equate to offended. One must be aware of the difference between bringing up problems or issues and being on a self-righteous campaign to remove offensive content. To assume someone is offended because they bring up an issue is a bizarre stance to take, and in games could prevent issues or bugs from being addressed. In this case, the main issue is the inability to prevent an unwanted relationship, not the character's writing. The main part of my issue, is the complete inability to say no due to scripting issues or bugs, and the companion essentially forcing a relationship upon the player could cause some people serious PTSD. That isn't ok, whether the character is Doc or any other character. If you or anyone you know has been involved in any kind of abusive relationship, please seek help and know there are people out there who care about you and want you to be safe and happy.
  6. Ok now I'm completely lost, I chose the dialogue option to [End Relationship] with Doc, even though there wasn't a relationship in the first place. And I log in today and have mail from him talking about a love nest!? How does this creep think there is anything between us, never kissed him, chose a single flirt option the entire time and only because it sounded cruel. Turn down his random arse marriage proposal, tell him I shouldn't have led him on (even though I didn't) and broke up a non existent relationship. Definitely the worst companion by far, even though my character is good, upon receiving this mail, I'm certain she would remove a particular part of his anatomy using her lightsaber. Or just flush him out a airlock.
  7. It is unfortunate but true, so far my favourite romance options have been Vette and Raina Temple, unfortunately these both require male characters. I haven't found a good female character romance before KOTFE, I have still not completed half of the Republic storylines though. So still holding out hope for maybe the Trooper or Consular.
  8. Again if I could tell him to stop, the language early on I could excuse, it wouldn't bother me so much if he wasn't so pushy. Or if there were a proper way to shut him down. It's not so much about when it was written or the language he uses, it's about a clear and defined ability to turn a character down. Because at first I thought, oh ok we have a flirty wanna be Han Solo doctor, could be interesting. My opinion on that changed as I said no but instead of stopping or cutting back, he got more intense and creepy.
  9. I wouldn't have so much of a problem with his ego, if he would have stopped with the sexual harassment. If it was clearer and easier to turn him down, as I thought I had done so. Maybe as a male Jedi knight, he's more tolerable. But I found it repulsive when he came back from helping Nemro, and asked for a kiss. None of my options were to call him a creep and tell him to stop. Or even just an option please stop I'm not interested. I don't like that the only way to turn him down is to be a obedient Jedi, following the code. Because I'm happy to get into a relationship and have supported other Jedi with their relationships on multiple occasions, I just don't want to be with Doc. I'd be happy to romance Rusk, Kira or Scourge, heck I'd even choose T7 as a romance option first. Unfortunately my inability to tell him "NO" where he actually listens, has coloured my opinion of his character. Because I have said no, so many times. Any guy or girl who can't take no as an answer in real life and continued to harass me like this, I'd have cut out of my life. But that's not an option here either, I can't tell him to stop, or to leave my ship.
  10. So I've just reached the final part of the Jedi Knight story, even though I've been playing since launch I've never done the Jedi Knight past Taris before. I'm playing it as a character that is not strictly adherent to the Jedi code, but I despise Doc as a character. He's incredibly egomaniacal and misogynistic, I've turned him down so many times, and insulted him repeatedly. The only times I've chosen a flirt was when it was an insult, and the only alternative was to say "It's against the Jedi code". But now at the end of the game, with absolutely no relationship to speak of, including the previous conversation to this me shutting him down, he's proposing!? Where the heck did that come from! And there is a dialogue option to [End Relationship]? What relationship? He's a misogynistic dick bag that I've turned down over and over, how does the game think there is a relationship? Please add more options to the dialogue wheel, to shut him down Bioware, even if you steal a voice line from elsewhere and reuse it, I was really annoyed that he wouldn't stop flirting the entire time, even though I'd told him to stop, told him to stop calling me gorgeous or beautiful and said in the previous conversation to this and I quote "She may not think you're the right man for her". I have considered on multiple occasions just not talking to Doc anymore, because he won't stop being creepy and sleezy, but in order to get Legacy unlock I have to complete his personal conversation storyline. If there is a chance to kill him later, I'm taking it even though I'm a light side Jedi. "I prefer to think you've suffered some head trauma and are rambling incoherently." Very apt line that sums up my feelings right now. But why is the [End Relationship] dialogue, "I'm a Jedi, Doc. I can't marry you--and I never should have let things go this far." I didn't let anything, this is the very definition of unwanted attention, and harassment. No means no Doc, go away, get off my ship.
  11. As far as I can tell, unless you just flat out reject him in one of the earlier conversations it assumes that you want to romance him. Like the Kaggath there are no half measures.
  12. I have been replaying this today also and no matter how many times I reset the quest it will not activate the bonus mission.
  13. I seem to be in the same spot I subbed at launch with 6 month recurring, never cancelled and bought CE after playing for a little while and also have 2300 Cartel Coins, my only question is why are the free months they deducted from the total taken from the most recent months? Subscriber Reward: 200 Cartel Coins (Sep) Subscriber Reward: 200 Cartel Coins (Aug) Subscriber Reward: 150 Cartel Coins (Jul) Subscriber Reward: 150 Cartel Coins (Jun Skipped because of having a Level 50 character in May I think) Subscriber Reward: 150 Cartel Coins (Apr) Collectors Edition Purchase Reward: 1000 Cartel Coins (20th Mar) Subscriber Reward: 150 Cartel Coins (Mar) Subscriber Reward: 150 Cartel Coins (Feb) Subscriber Reward: 150 Cartel Coins (Jan)
  14. If this wasn't an April fool's joke I could be quite fun, except the bit about the droid being in charge.
  15. For others that are suffering this issue I have found a solution. http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/window-on-windows/run-uac-restricted-programs-without-the-uac-prompt/730 1. Follow the steps up until actions tab|new action (I suggest for the name of the new task you use adminSWTOR but it is your choice) 2. Instead of using Device Manager's MSC file, use SWTOR's launcher.exe the default location is "C:\PROGRAM FILES (x86)\Electronic Arts\Star Wars-The Old Republic\launcher.exe" 3. Under the browse button in the 'New Action' window is two fields leave 'Add arguments' blank but in the field for 'Start in' type C:\PROGRAM FILES (x86)\Electronic Arts\Star Wars-The Old Republic\ or the folder containing the launcher.exe NOTE: DO NOT USE QUOTATION MARKS IN THIS STEP OR SKIP THIS STEP AS IT WILL CAUSE THE launcher.exe NOT TO LAUNCH 4. Continue as suggested, however if you are useing a laptop/notebook computer will need to click on the 'Conditions' tab and uncheck the box "Stop if the computer switches to battery power" then also uncheck the box "Start the task only if the computer is on AC power" 5. When making the shortcut the location show be as follows schtasks /run /TN "adminSWTOR" (or the name you have called the task instead of adminSWTOR) 6. Click 'Next' choose a name for your shortcut then click 'Finish' 7. Right click the shortcut choose 'Properties' then 'Change Icon', a pop-up will tell you that the folder contains no icons click 'OK' then on the next window click 'Browse' and navigate to the launcher.exe again unless you have an icon that you would prefer to use That is it if done correctly then you should now be able to use this icon to launch SWTOR via the shortcut without it asking for admin privilages.
