  1. Rift: Game Engine of Choice - Modified Gamebryo (Runs smooth even on toasters) - 8vs20 (28 people at screen same time no fps drops at all, no stuttering, no lag) Swtor: Game Engine of Choice - Modified HeroEngine (Runs like crap on high end systems, for some it gives no problems) - Op vs Op it would seem (about 36ish people on screen, 1 - 5 fps, major stuttering, terrible low fps) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KUNaMUNnzQ Tell me again why they choose HeroEngine and not Unreal3 or gamebryo for that matter they both run better then HE ever will, and they both have been developed for a longer time then HE has, that in return = better coding, better support, better tools.
  2. Playing a sniper is like making fine art, it requires time and dedication while every other class requires a face and a keyboard.
  3. Ilum is a glorified wintergrasp just non of the insentive such as boss access for 3 - 4 hours a day if you win.
  4. ilum has been dead since 1.1, it was doomed from the start, poor performance, way too big. In short, ilum was dead on arrival, now bioware has seen that it's going downhill with that zone, so it's time to take the easy way out instead of fixing ilum.
  5. You must be doing something wrong, when i hit hoth on my first character i was like level 42 or something what exactly have you been doing because you must have skipped all the bonus series on taris/Nar Shadaa/Tatoonie
  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z77Za6DpIdg Top of the line computer with minimal programs running in the background. Max FPS seen in movie: 10 Lowest FPS seen in movie: 2 It's the engine and the way they have coded it.
  7. Here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z77Za6DpIdg Try and explain away bad performence on this system. Setup Core i7, 4Ghz Watercooled. GTX580 SLI, 900Mhz Core, Watercooled. 6GB 1600Mhz RAM. Programs in the background include MSI Afterburner, antivirus and MSI OSD Please explain away the bad performance on this TOP OF THE LINE computer.
  8. You get that lag when opening character window even with a VelociRaptor 10k RPM or a SSD disk, so it's not a bottleneck it's just badly coded, like the rest of the engine.
  9. No it simply means you TOLERATE the low fps because you do not have a top-end computer to give you more for the money, people that have used thousand of dollars on brand new setups should not have issues with this game, so no it's not our machines, it's the engine.
  10. This would be valid if the SWTOR version of HEROEngine wasn't a completely dated and modified version of the HE, as i've said many times the SWTOR mod version of HE is designed for single-player or low number raiding, it was never designed for PvP in mind which is simply baffling.
  11. ^ Lol nailed, the rift game engine is so much better then swtors, mainly because the rift team designed it for mass pvp in mind, swtor's game engine is designed for single-player and raiding, not mass pvp at all.
  12. i5-2500k @ 3.5ghz GeForce GTX560Ti Super OC'd Windforce x2 @ 1GB Ram 8Gb Ram @ 1600Mhz 1.5Gb WD Digital Green 600Gb WD VelociRaptor @ 10000 RPM Feel free to call that outdated to keep your trolling going son. PS: Still waiting for the fraps/screen of your magic 75 FPS in big fight on Ilum <3
  13. Not sure what you are on about but, i've never had problems with WoW and over 50 people on my screen, not even with rift.
  14. I can prove that i have **** fps in ilum, and i can prove that the game engine is terrible, however you have not provided a single screenshot/fraps of your magic 75 FPS on ilum during a big fight. Proof 1# http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sPRj5Lc5pg If you want more proof that this game engine is bad, please reply i can find 50 examples just by checking youtube.
  15. Fraps or Screenshot of these magic 75 FPS on ilum in a big fight. Inb4 some excuse being made to avoid posting screen/fraps
  16. I like how people think Guild Wars 2 will be so good ya so good they are making a friggin console version to interact with the PC version, DO NOT WANT. It's like the first warning sign of a crud game if it gets ported from console to Pc or Pc to Console the end result is always the same... Utter ****
  17. I don't think you quite understand what FPS is son, your connection will not impact your friggin FPS unless you are still on DIAL UP myself i am on a 50Mbit connection and i have a pretty decent computer that kills any other game at ultra/high, and i get slide shows on ilum if there is more then 20 people around going at it. And when i pvp'd in rift with 50 - 100 people on my screen i would maintain between 50 and 60 FPS without fail, so no, it is the game engine it was designed for single player/low amount of people raiding. NOT PvP at all.
  18. I mean his GPU activity is 0%, and it takes the game engine almost 25 seconds for it to recover from the spamming, how is that even possible. Do that in Rift or WoW you won't even notice it's happening.
  19. People might not like rift, but that game engine was specifically DESIGNED for world pvp and loads of people at the same time, and it shows. Then we have bioware with the biggest possible budget ever, they go ahead and pickup a free game engine and do a few tweaks on it, i have no words.
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sPRj5Lc5pg You mean this, watch him spam inventory / skill tree and companion skills. Watch the game engine crap it self, and his system is SOLID as a rock.
  21. Exactly, the game engine is fine for single-player content, but soon as you enter pvp and lots of effects start firing the engine craps it self and just goes "DO NOT WANT" and hello slide show time.
  22. highest load i've seen on ilum on my GPU is like ... 10 - 20% at any given time if i fire up Alan Wake / Kingdoms of Amalur / Continenth of the Ninth (korean MMO) i get minimum load off 75%, alan wake at max settings will rock my GPU @ 100% all the time.
  23. When people have problems with computers such as i7's OC to 4.2Ghz running Water Cooling 6970s in Crossfire 120gb SSD's with nothing other then Win7 and SWTOR 12gb of ram @ 1600mhz and still getting knee capped in warzones and on ilum, it's not the computer it's the damn game engine, i wish these nay sayers would stop trying to defend this garbage game engine. They had a H U G E budget when they made this game, yet they decided to go with a pile of crud game engine, i don't even understand that choice, it's just poor execution.
  24. Guild Wars 2 = getting a console version, so no do not want As for swtor i guess around 1.5mil is a pretty healthy number of players.
